antique desk art nouveau craftsman arts crafts turn of century walnut victorian
This is a solid walnut carved art- nouveau/craftsman- styled desk which is finished on all four sides. I am estimating it was made between 1895-1915. When this style was gaining popularity. However, this kind of desk is extremely RARE. Especially since it is finished on all four sides. The very first photo has the front finished side with the five drawers/cabinets, and the other side has the identical carvings but with no drawers(last photo listed) There are also two different close-ups of either side of the most carved part, photos 2 and 7. The very first picture is a photo of the desk without the red felt covering, which was replaced recently after it was discovered through restoration work that the original top of the desk was red felt originally. This desk was bought at an auction of an old Pasadena home, where it"lived" for ... morea great number of years. There is slight peeling of the top walnut veneer but it can be easily repaired. DESCRIPTION: Vintage copper enamel Arts and Crafts bookends have vivid colors of green and dark green in a wonderful arts and crafts design. The bookends were produced at the Craftsman Studio in Laguna Beach California circa 1920s or 1930s. I have not cleaned or polished the set for fear of damaging the bookends. Wonderful old Mission Era Flora Frog with rich dark matte green glaze(a hint of copper shows through) Measures 3-4" in diameter. And nice and thick(1-1/4" thick(thickest part) thickness varies all around. Frog has a slight dome shape. Which is very pleasing. I always liked the feel of this mellow frog in my hand. And we used it many times to hold our garden flowers nice and straight in our old Mission Vases. Has a good weight ~ 3/4s lb. Even the bottom is a pleasure to see(Photo#3)

This listing is for a wonderful pair of unsigned Hand-Hammered Copper Bookends with a wonderfully primitive pine tree design. They are from the Mission/Arts& Crafts Van Erp Era(circa 1915) These are a matching set but not identical as the are folk art crafted as opposed to factory made and measure approximately 5 1/4" tall x 4" wide x 3" deep. They have their original dark rich patina and have not been cleaned. Ther is some tape residue on the bottoms as can be seen in the last image that I did not remove as I did not want to disturd the patina. Will leave any cleaning and polishing to the new owner if they should so choose. These are old and this is the original condition, they show the appropriate wear from use and age. They are a little bent along the edges, they could probably be straightened out. There are 3 plates that match and the 4th one is close, with the only difference being the ribbed design on the top and bottom edge are rounded rather than straight across. All have a deep ridged pattern and a hole in each corner for mounting. Two- a matching set measure 8 inches by 3 inches. Beautiful pair of vintage hammered copper Arts& Crafts era bookends. Great looking floral tulip design done beautifully! We couldn't find any sort of signature. But they are very well done with a really wonderful luster. The copper"plate" is riveted or nailed onto wood. Period fabric is on the bottom. They measure just over 5" high and 4.25" wide. Very nice condition except for some missing nails along the bottom of one of them, as shown in the last close-up. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have. Arts and Crafts Craftsman Art Nouveau Mid century Pottery Pot Green Fragile
Offered for sale is a hand crafted pot with some age. I am thinking that it might be from the Arts and Crafts time period but I am not sure when it is from. It seems to have been carefully crafted and is very fragile so I am surprised that it has lasted so long(I think it shows age) I cannot find any markings but maybe someone can attribute it to a particular potter. Not including the cover pages and few advertising on top. The bulk of this material is paged from 3-687 CONDITION: Printed on the thinnest paper. The paper covers are in the roughest shape, all are stacked in the front ahead of and separated from the contents. Covers have lots of. Also there are big tears, some paper corners missing yellowed with light foxing. Content/interior pages-the majority has fared better and are good lightly yellowed. Outside edges however have slivers of darker color. Grime and yellowing. Prairie Style Mantel Clock Mission. Arts& Crafts, Craftsman, Art Deco, Wood Custom Hand Built Hand build prairie style mantel clock. I am inspired by Prairie Style architecture and art glass and I have a fascination with the proportions of a well-balanced clock face. My designs typically begin by creating a clock face that incorporates complex. But unified details such as fonts, art glass motifs inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and functional geometry. I work in CAD software until I am pleased with the core layout, then I mimic the clock face design in the lattice work of the clock’s base. I have the face printed on high quality photographic paper. This clock body is made of 50 individual pieces of figured rock maple and is built with true through mortise and tenon joints. The deep coloration is done by using six applications ... moreof aniline dye. The clock is then finished with nitrocellulose lacquer. This clock uses a Takane Japanese quartz pendulum movement. VINTAGE CRAFTSMAN ART& CRAFTS SPEAKEASY DOOR KNOCKER GRILL There are floral designs on both sides of the door knocker with a hammered finish on the borders. This is not a reproduction piece. It is marked“Peabody– Acker Inc. No. D-200” It is in very good structural condition– no cracks or breaks in the metal. The knocker looks like it was brass plated at one time. The gold finish is very worn and has some areas showing verdigris. The interior side of the knocker shows more of the gold finish compared to the outdoor side of the knocker. Please see photos. The door opens and closes perfectly. Dimensions are about 9 ½” high. 6 ½” wide, and 1 ¾” deep if the center section is used. I ship to USA only. USPS Medium Flat Rate box with insurance.

I began with the clock face design and built the clock to be artistically compatible with the Art Deco horizontal face design. This little table clock measures 11" wide by 6-1/4" high by 2-7/8 deep. This authentic metal vase dates from the early 1900's and stands just over 12" tall by 5.5" across the handles. On a 5" diameter round base. This vase has beautiful Art Nouveau styled design with a hammered copper body. There are no maker's marks I can see. It's in good shape with no cracks or finish wear, but it does have several dents on the body, front and back. If you can hammer them out, this will be a real gem.
