Up for auction is this fabulous antique Victorian/Eastlake cast iron. Ornately detailed, plant hanger hook. This is a heavy solid piece- beautifully made. The metal is completely sound, no cracks, breaks or repairs. It was designed to pivot or swivel, doesn't move much now, could use an oiling- WD? It is decorated with beautiful cut-out designs and embossed Eastlake stylized detailing on all sides. It connects to the large cast iron wall bracket with a rod topped off with an acorn finial. Pair of Antique Ornate Victorian Shelf Brackets, Cast iron, 9x7 in, old Eastlake
This is a lovely pair of old Victorian shelf brackets. These antique shelf brackets are made of cast iron. These were cast in an ornate pattern with stylized flowers and repeating geometric shapes. They are each 8 3/4 inches by 6 7/8 inches by 7/8 inch at the corners. Each bracket has 6 mounting holes. At some point the shelf bracket were painted white. Some of the white paint has worn off at the edges. And there is more white paint on one side than on the other. This is a terrific pair that will look great whether you leave them as they are, repaint them, or strip and wax them.
