4 Brass Brackets Hooks Ornate Steampunk Vintage Antique Architectural Hardware
This is a set of super cool looking brackets or hooks. I haven't figured out exactly what they are! To me they look like something that came from a train in the old days.or an old fancy hotel? Notice the great ornate details of flowers and swirls. These look like brackets but when placed against the wall the shelf isn't flat.it is tilted. So maybe these were used on a wall with an angle. Or maybe they are hooks to be attached to a shelf.but the parts that curve up like hooks have holes in them as if to attache with screws to a wall. If anyone has any ideas or knowledge of these. Please let me know and I will post it for all to see! Each of the 4 pieces measures about 8" from hook to hook; and the flat area where a shelf might go is about 2 1/2" with 2 holes for screws. A VINTAGE PAIR OF CAST IRON SHELF BRACKETS Here is a pair of shelf brackets they are made of cast iron and some of the white paint is still on them. These are 15 x 11 3/4 inches and 3/4 of a inch wide and there is a crack in one of them where it has a slot look at the picture for more details. I am not an expert in every area. Up for auction is an antique metal architectural hook recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. The hook is sharp at one end and squared off at the other. The square end is the end which hangs, the sharp end normal would hold game or the like. It is quite pitted from age and use.
