Native American Iroquois Indian Iron Blade Brass Cone Tacks Tomahawk 1860c
A nice collectable rare hand carved and hand forged blade Iroquois Native American Tomahawk from the Civil War period measuring about 22.5 inches long. 2 1/2 wide and 1" deep. Pictorial blade measures 4.25" and has 4 notches on it with discoloration. Handle appears to be solid oak made in the style of a rifle butt with decorated ends making the shape of a bird. Cone tacks appear to be period as well. Patina is natural and the item is guaranteed authentic in every aspect. There is a shield with this collection which may end up on Ebay. Good luck!

Antique African American Folk Art Burl Cherry Wood Brass Tacks Dog Head Cane
This hand crafted cane comes from an African American family in Cass County Michigan and is crafted from a natural form cherry limb with abstract dog head form. Natural burl figuring and hand-used–polished surface. It dates from the late 1800s-very early 1900s and measures 35 ½” tall x 4 5/8” across the handle and was apparently used by a left handed man based on the wear and use. The dog head-like image is enhanced by an old shrinkage crack that forms the mouth and there is a copper tack monogram JDB near the handle. The shaft shows areas of shrinkage and checking suggesting the cane was crafted and used green. It is absolutely untouched and un-enhanced with dry surface and verdigris to the copper tacks and brass pipe section ferule. It is sturdy and usable. Bird, or water fowl with brass tacks as eyes. Made of poplar with nice staining& curves. Crack with repair on upper beak. Scalloped triangular carving on end with holes for a drop. Effigy clubs were known to have special meaning to the owner& came into use circa mid 1800's. The meaning could have been a vision. Story, experience, etc-something personal to the owner. Native American Scout Cavalry Saddle Scout Insignia Rawhide Original Brass Tacks
Offering an original Indian Scout Rawhide Cavalry Saddle. This Indian Wars rare saddle has its original brass Scout insignia and hand decorated brass tacks. The rawhide unfortunately has dog chews on the edge. Otherwise it would have been considered in great condition. There is missing tacks where the stirrup leathers would have come through. The photos show much of the description. It has a 14" seat. There are no leather straps of any kind still attached to this saddle tree. Rawhide completely covers this Cavalry McClellan saddle tree. The rawhide looks to be brain tanned. Questions welcome. Interested in more information on these saddles if any can help.

Here's a group lot of 16 assorted men's tie/lapel tac pins. There are Holiday Inn. Mack, American Legion, Lions. Philadelphia Public School, International Police Assoc. POW, Liberty Bell and Westinghouse Corp. The larger 1 1/4" American Legion piece without any back we believe came off a lighter. Except for that one, the rest have backs except for a small American Legion tac. Another one of the American Legion tacs has a couple of tiny chips in the enameling. All are metal except for one plastic"International Police Assoc. pin. All are in very nice used condition with some having a couple light scratches from use and storage.
