These are very old. Came from a living estate sale of a 83 year old man in Ruffin NC. I spoke with him and he told me they came from an antebellum house that was demolished back in the 50's. I date them by weight size style. early 1900. 1905. I have three sets of these. You are biding on two brackets shown. But if you want the others after winning these I will sell u 1 or 6 at what u paid here per bracket. Good luck! They are 12 inch by 12 inch at the straight edge. 17 inches at the span. Rusty dusty and crusty. but complete and sound. No breaks.

2 Antique Large Cast Iron Porch Corner Brackets Oak Leaf & Acorn Design "BROKEN"
The side of each bracket is 21 inches long the width is approximately 30 inches. They are 1 inch thick. They weigh 18 pounds. One piece has two holes on one side and one hole on the other. The other piece has two holes on one side and either no holes on the other side or the holes have been painted over. I don't see any other breaks besides the ones pictured. Antique Cast iron Oak Leaf & Acorn Shelf - Civil war era
Welcome to our personal estate sale. Time to part with this- a wonderful old piece of cast iron art. A shelf in an oak leaf and acorn pattern- it comes apart for shipping. The bottom support rests in a slot. But some former owner didn't think that was secure enough, so they drilled a hole and fitted it with a screw and washer to make it more secure. Does not show. No damage or repairs to this piece. It's one of my favorite pieces, but we gotta downsize! Lots more interesting stuff coming up for sale.
