vintage workbench with Emmert pattern maker's vise
This classic workbench was made circa 1910 at the Ranken Technical College in St. Louis. Missouri and was used in their pattern making program until that subject was eliminated in the late 1970's. I acquired the bench at that time, eventually moving myself and the bench to New Hampshire. I am now semi-retired and no longer have need or space for it. This very bench was pictured and described in 2 separate books from Taunton Press: The Workshop(2003) and The Workbench(2004) It is. I am told, a very good example of a trade school workbench. It is in good overall condition, but could, no doubt, benefit from some cleaning and tightening. I am struck by the fact that no one ever carved his initials or otherwise defaced the bench. Says something about Ranken, I believe, and the quality of their program, faculty and students. The work surface ... moreis 76 1/2" long and 30" wide including the recessed tool tray. The overall length. With the wooden end vise, is 85 3/4" The maple top is 2 1/2" thick. The height of the bench is 37 1/4" including riser blocks that were added long ago. Bench dog holes are provided in the wooden top as well as both vises. The Emmert pattern maker's vise has jaw dimensions of 14" x 5" This vise will rotate 360 degrees. Tilt up 90 degrees and will accommodate tapered work. One of the jaw set screws for tapered work was broken at some point and it appears a repair was attempted. I'm assuming the repair did not hold because the screw is no longer with the vise. The vise, however, will still hold taper work without any problem. The top is easily removed as are the drawers. Making the bench quite easy to move. Shipping, however, is not an option due to the size and weight.

Vintage Wooden& Steel Assembly Work Table Bench with Littlestown Vise 56-7/8" x 26" x 38" This listing is for 1 used production work bench table in fair overall general condition with some typical cosmetic and surface wear. As seen. There are blemishes including drilling marks, scratches, scuffs and other signs of wear and rust. Also, please note that there are two missing bolts on the right side of the bench, as shown. Please note four mount holes designed for a Littlestown No. 140 vise which was previously mounted, which will be included with this bench as shown. The vise was simply removed in order to display the bench's surface area. The vise is in fair overall condition with some rusting due to the years of age, as shown, but it is missing ... morethe handle that accompanies it. Fortunately this is easily replaceable with any 5/8" thick handle or pipe. Jaws are 4" Wide, the vise opens to 4-1/4" and is approx 11-1/4" in length when shut. Structurally. The table itself is in good condition. Made with wooden surface and steel construction for support, this table is rigidly strong, as this table was built to last a life time of many daily usages. The table top measures approx 56-7/8" x 26" overall and features a wood surface guard on three sides of the tabletop measuring approx 7" in height. The surface guard does appear to have been partially damaged on the upper RH side. As shown, however its overall functionality will still be intact as this is designed to prevent items from falling off the left, right, or back of the bench. Table measures approx 38" tall. This makes this a great multi purpose work area bench/table for multiple purpose application capabilities. This has not been actually weighed. But guessing is about 160 lbs or so. Vintage Industrial Table - Mid Century - Butcher Block - Desk - Workbench
This is a cool old metal and butcher block wood top industrial table or desk. It has three metal drawers. And the word“LYON” embossed onto the drawer assembly. The finish is a mix of light green paint. And patches of dark green paint, and a fair amount of rust spots throughout. The drawer assembly is grey. The wooden top is a butcher block style. Some of the pieces of wood on the top are slightly warped or uneven, and as you can see in the photos, the finish and patina of the wood top is very patchy and has various shades of wood colors. The right end of the wood top is a lighter shade than the rest of the top– it was sitting outside with another table covering most of it except the area on the right, and is a bit faded. This cabinet makers trestle workbench is fully functional with two steel threaded vises. It is laminated beech wood and is as sturdy as when it was new. It belonged to my father who was a master cabinet maker. There are 2 steel"dogs" and a bronze adjustable insert side clamp. Incredible work of art.steampunk. Industrial desk, loft furniture,work bench, table, machine age, reclaimed wood. Perfect as a sideboard. Kitchen island, desk, workbench, table, bar height table I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small barn that was going to be demolished. The barn was right here in my home town of Fox River Grove. Illinois. This workbench was one of many treasures I acquired. It was in rough condition when I rescued it. I knew I could restore it to full glory. I think it came out spectacular, however you will be the judge, perhaps it will speak to you like it does to me! This is built like a battleship. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there ... moreare so many other bolts&nuts holding the top in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the 3/4"thick oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges of the piece are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some of the solid oak pegs in the top to seal old holes. The entire bench has been hand sealed with varnish. Everything including the underside of the top. The entire metal frame has been sealed, making it easy to wipe clean. the top was sealed with many, many coats of hand rubbe

Vintage Antique Solid Wood Industrial Factory Shop Workbench Table Great Patina
For auction is one beautiful vintage solid pine antique workbench. It has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. The top is made ofsolid 1.25" thick solid pine planks with a nicely weathered piece of Masonite over it with a semigloss sheen. It is very sturdy and has two drawers with gorgeous oval bronze pulls. There are holes here and there on the top from where vices and the like were at one time bolted. The pine is older growth and is free of knots. The very end of the backing trim has a cut out from where an outlet used to be. It measures 72" wide. 29" deep and 37" tall. There is 30.25" of clearance beneath the lower edge to the ground. Kitchen island, desk, workbench, table, bar height table I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small barn that was going to be demolished. The barn was right here in my home town of Fox River Grove. Illinois. This workbench was one of many treasures I acquired. It was in rough condition when I rescued it. I knew I could restore it to full glory. I think it came out spectacular, however you will be the judge, ... moreperhaps it will speak to you like it does to me! This is built like a battleship. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there are so many other bolts&nuts holding the top in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the 3/4"thick oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges of the piece are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some

Vintage Workbench Butcher Block Steel Kitchen Table Drawers Painted
For local pick up or possibly meet within a few hundred miles for fuel expenses. Located 30 miles west of Evansville. IN and just a few miles off of I64 exit 4. Old metal leg work bench with maple butcher block top. The paint on the legs is flaking gray paint. The drawers are painted green. It is an old workbench so there is wear. Three drawers in the front. Note the small cut out piece on the top front side. The workbench is 33" tall. 6' long and 30" wide. Hopefully listing other big items for local pick up also.
