I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. Please view them carefully and ask any questions prior to bidding or purchasing. I will be happy to answer them the best I can. C3097. this is a very lovely old table and will serve well it's owner for many more decades. it measuress about 42 1/2" x 42" without leaves and stands about 29 inches tall. it will take castors and that would give it a few inches more in height. This table shows evidence of being painted at least twice(green, white) and refinished to bare wood with numerous holes and gouges filled. The table still has the extension rails but since there are no leaves the table sides are secured together with metal braces. The original drop leaf supports were replaced with other antique drop leaf supports. The table apron and extension rails are secured to the underside with metal braces. Vintage c1930s Oak & Maple 5 Ft Drafting Table Restored Drawer Original Hardware
This old drafting table from the 1930s has an oak base and 1” steel enforced solid maple top with oak trim in excellent vintage condition. It is a sturdy piece and is a mix of tiger and flat cut oak. I believe it was manufactured by Mayline. There is also a rolling 48” straight that is stamped Mayline. I will include that along with the wire that it came with. The table measures 5’w x 37 1/2”d and is 31 1/4”h when the top is flat. It features a drawer which has the original cup pull and lock and key that works. It does show some signs of wear which is consistent with age and use and there are a few nicks and one deep stain in the top which I look at as a character adding bonus. It completely disassembles for easy transport. This would be a great piece to use as a dining table or kitchen work area and would be a perfect addition to your industrial ... moredécor. The leaves are supported by 4 wooden braces. The distance from bottom of leaf to floor is 17 1/2" The legs are rope turned and have 2 depressions as can be seen on the pictures. Pick up only. For auction is one freshly restored vintage oak library table. It has a solid oak frame and legs and an oak veneer top. The two drawers have solid oak handles. It has been stripped. Sanded, stained, and refinished in a natural Danish oil. I usually prefer to keep the original finish when possible, but this table was truly in dire need of refinishing. There are still a few flaws present, but they simply add character. There are some thin, dark scratches on the top still, as well as areas along the edge and corners where the veneer has worn through. There is also about an inch long depression on the back edge where there is still the remnants of a small burn mark(pictured) DIMENSIONS: 59.5" long. 31.5" deep and 30.5" tall. It is just about 30 1/2" tall with the original casters installed and can be dropped down about another inch just by popping the casters off. The original leaves are long gone but this table was used with birch make-do leaves and a single castoff oak leaf from another table for large holiday gatherings. HISTORIC SPOKANE LIBRARY TABLE WITH 5 COORDINATING CHAIRS Once the center of my own personal archive. I am offering this stunning antique library table with five coordinating chairs. I was told when I purchased it that the table came from the original 1904 Carnegie Public Library in Spokane, Washington. The legs feature a unique attachment design, marked with a 1904 patent date, and a Spokane Library inventory sticker. From that early turn-of-the-century period when Classical Revival detailing was first beginning to assume industrial heft and Arts& Crafts substance, this table is a beauty and a beast! TABLE DIMENSIONS Table top is 42” x 72” and 1-3/4” thick with great molded edge. Table height is 31” and clearance under skirt is 25-1/2” TABLE DETAILS Quartersawn oak table top was originally stained a deep bronze green color. The book-matched oak veneers combined with the stain wear creates the subtle appearance of peacock feathers from the figure of the wood grain. Oak table surface and molded edges are scratched, dented and even occasionally ink-stained, but all in rich and age-appropriate ways that only add character and integrity to this interesting and impressive piece of furniture. But the real specialness of this table is in its substantial and confident proportions. And in the authentic green-painted steel frame skirt and patented tapered metal legs, displaying fine brass beading around the skirt, and charming molded brass feet. The deep gleaming finish is in excellent condition on richly figured mahogany. The top and leaves are wide planks of solid mahogany. There are only minor mars at the edges, see photos. When opened.
