Antique Victorian ornate wood occasional table
Beautiful antique ornate table. Very detailed legs& underneath. Table measures 31" wide x 21" deep x 29.5" tall. I'm not sure about wood type. But I was told by woodworker that the legs and detail are Mahogany. Antique dealer estimated it to be early 1900's. Top was either replaced or repaired. There is a split right down the middle of the table top and a metal brace under the top that holds the two pieces together. Very nicely done repair. I have tried to show that in the pictures.it never bothered me, but I used the piece and am not a collector or dealer. Old Hand Carved Cherub face Console Table. Ornate
I have owned this for 25 Years. I bought it in Covington Kentucky. The Dealer Told me it was made in the Philippeins after WWII and servicemen would bring them home. He said the seller had another piece made by the same guy. It was a bench with carved bears on it and holding the ends. I cant verify the truth of his story but that is what he said. The size is 50 1/2" long. 32 1/2" tall, 16 1/2"

Antique Victorian Mahogany Ornate 3 Tier Plant Stand Lamp Table Restored Circa 1910's Fantastic Antique Victorian Mahogany Ornate 3 Tier Plant Stand Lamp Table Restored This table was restored by the previous owner a couple of years ago. It is a lovely plant table made of mahogany wood. Carved sides and bow curved legs. There are two additional levels besides the top. The levels are attached by turned wood spindles. The top level has a beautiful beveled edge and the other two levels are carved with circle design pattern. I noticed that one leg is about 1/4" short and there is a hint of a wobble. I'm not sure if it is my tile flooring. But wanted to mention. A split in the wood is seen on one leg. The wood has been glued during the restoration and is standing strong. See noted picture on the right. Some slight wear to the wood ... morefinish but in overall very good condition. This table is unsigned. Carefully packaged for shipping. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED SOLID HARD WOOD ORNATE TABLE TOP 8kg 25" FOLDING TEAK STAND wonderful heavy single piece of solid hard wood weighing about 8.4kg without the stand- possibly oak we are not sure- it has been hand carved by a skilled craftsman- the pattern/design is mapped out on the underside of the table top- it comes with a vintage quality folding wood stand with brass feet and hinges- not the same wood(possibly teak) but a practical and handsome stand of some age- we do not know the origins of either piece. It measures 15" in diameter. There is accent painting on the stand. Much of which has faded over the years. But this doesn't diminish it's beauty. The marble top is in excellent condition. In that it's not cracked or chipped. However. There is a circular fading, along with superficial scratches in the center due to having been used as a plant stand by me since I purchased it in 2006. The table was manufactured in 1917 by the patent holder, Mr. John A. Fenton of Oakland, California. The patent can be viewed at http:www.google.com/patents/US1302344. The table features the patented finish which resembles hand carved. Blind fretwork. The table is wood(oak? and is heavy. It is finished in a dark brown under stain then topped with the patented finish which is a marbled, red color with orange undertones and highlights. The finish is a relatively thick substance which has a ornate pattern in relief. It does look very much like hand carved wood. It is extremely beautiful and unique with elements of Art Deco and Eastlake design. Measures 77" long. 24" wide and 30" tall. the Table top was originally broken marble and then was host to a black and white swirl man made corian top in the 80’s. The matching cast iron legs have a simple design incised into the metal. This is an exquisite antique draw-leaf refectory/ dining table in the Elizabethan style. Most likely crafted in the early 1900s utilizing older frieze, legs, stretchers, and support lumber. The frieze. Legs, and stretchers are profusely hand-carved with the bulbous legs beautifully turned and decorated. The top is a solid wood surround with a fantastic veneer center over a two-piece solid wood underlay. The veneer appears at least 1/16" thick. The leaves are solid wood. And appear to be the same wood as the top, but retaining a darker finish.
