It has heavy patina on the ... moreback of both brass trays. There is patina around all of the sides of the brass and in spots on the carved scenes. The wooden stand is in very good condition. It has some patina on the metal hinges. One of the legs has a missing supporting piece(about a 1 inch long little piece of wood) This piece can use some heavy cleaning. This table would have supported a lamp. This lamp is not included. Pleasingly solid brass trays are supported by a folding base to produce a two tier table. The piece is suitable both for permanent location or as on occasional table. When in folded position the table assumes very little space and can be slid under a sofa or such; in addition the gorgeous solid trays may be used on their own for serving and display purposes. The base is a six leg folding design with dragons head carvings to the upper. The trays display wonderful scense with floral and foliate detailing to the perimeter and a central engraving featuring oriental characters in traditional dress. Overall this peice of furniture is in good condition and will make a great addition to any setting. 20" tall approximately 17" width 10" wide lower tray 14" wide upper tray We are a non-profit store and this was a donation. We are fairly certain this is not a reproduction piece and is truly from the 1930's. We do not know much about this piece except for a previous Ebay listing of a very similar item that sold in the UK in Sept. 2012. So if your after the special one, this is for you. everything on this lamp base is Org. except I replaced the wiring& cord. Look at the great metal work on the shade supports& the Original multiple color swirl Slag glass surround by the Org. finish Oak base. This lamp base proudly stands 15" tall& a wing span of 11" for your shade.the arched feet of the base spread across 7 1/2" side to side. This base has not been messed with or taken apart. So I would say It has the Org glass. One side has the similar one on the opposite side it almost looks light colored(faded)but the wood is not faded& is still dark. So that's why I put a picture of the inside. For viewing all 4 pieces.the only way to change the glass is to completely take apart the base,which if you look at all the bottom corners it shows that it hasn't been taken apart. 2 out of the 4 metal shade holders have a little piece of wood they mount on& are loose. Came loose from age& just need a little glue to secure them.There are pictures of all 4 side& 1 picture of the little loose piece the has the shade screwed to it added to the very end of the picture slideshow. The legs with braces have been repositioned using the original screws, I imagine over the years the table became wobbley and the original screw holes stripped, therefore repositioned for renewed stability. Item: Up for auction is this fully restored Mission. Arts& Crafts Table or Plant Stand. The table measures 10.75 x10.75 and is 18.75 inches tall. The table is very structurally sound. It is constructed of solid quarter sawn oak in the characteristic Mission design. The terms restored and refinished are not meant to convey perfection. While the restoration process removes or minimizes imperfections. Subtle signs of its age and use remain. Overall, this table is in excellent condition and should provide many years of use and beauty. Pricing: I do not use reserve pricing. I will establish what I think is a fair starting price for each item. That way potential buyers can make a choice to pursue the item or not. ANTIQUE STICKLEY ERA ARTS & CRAFTS MISSION QUARTER SAWN OAK COFFEE TABLE
This is an antique Stickley era Mission style Arts& Crafts quarter sawn solid oak coffee table dating to the early 1900's. It appears to have originally been a library table that was cut down to be a coffee table. It measures 42-3/4" wide. 25-1/2" deep and stands 18" tall. It has bronze pulls on the drawer and the drawer is dovetailed. There are scratches and wear consistent with age and gentle use, and some minor blemishes. There are oak buttons that cover connection points and 10 are missing. I have not had a chance to replace them, but do have a bag of new oak buttons that will be included with the table. This listing is for a very nice. Unique, antique carved gilt wood accent table. This lovely table is reflective of the Arts Crafts Mission styling with some Spanish influences. This is an old table, not machine manufactured. It is very nicely done, and very beautifully carved with a modified, fleur de lis pattern which is repeated. The legs are substantial and feature nicely curved lines. The top is 8 sided with a center that is slightly raised but also 8 sided. No marks or signatures. Very sturdy and no wobbles. Primitive Antique Mission Style wood plant stand/small table. Another genuine early furniture piece that belonged to my Grandfather. Possibly from the 1920's( Table stands 13-1/2" tall x 11-1/2" wide across the top. Made of dark stained. 3/4" thick wood, not sure what type. Maybe maple. F our supporting legs are nicely rounded and tapered at the top. Wonderful primitive and rustic look with wear to many of the edges and residual white paint along one leg with some small splatters elsewhere. This auction is for a fabulous all original Roycroft Journey table/book stand. It is made of quarter sawn oak and has its original finish. The finish is much darker than it appears in some of the photographs. Three of the photos show the true darker color. It is signed on the bottom leg with its original brass Roycroft plate. This table is in excellent condition. I could really find no flaws to mention. There are no cracks or repairs to this piece. For your consideration we are offering this antique Mission tiger oak coffee table circa early 1900s. Overall this piece measures in at an approximate 18"H x 42"D. This piece is solid oak not veneered. Condition is as shown/ follows: I'm selling the table in need of full refinish/ restoration. The finish is badly worn as shown and should be redone. The structure of the table quite good: There is some very tight smooth board separation to the top and random bruises, scratches, bangs, chips etc.The mortise through detail is cosmetic not structural, one of the through tenons is chipped up. None of the issues would present much of a problem to a furniture refinisher. The legs are semi spade shaped at the bottom and do have inset ball casters. This is an original. Large oak library table, currently being decommissioned from the library in which it has resided since 1904. Measurements: Length: 95 ½ inches. Width: 47 ½ inches. Height: 31 ½ inches. This table will need restoration. As the top was covered in Formica, probably ... moreback in the 1970’s. Viewing the table-top from underneath, it appears that the original solid oak top is still existing beneath the Formica sheath. There is a piece of wood missing from one corner of the apron(see photo) The base finish needs restoration. However, this is a very solid, sturdy conference table. The double-pedestal base features 4 sided. Graduated columnar legs attached to an H-stretcher. The oak composing the legs and the stretcher appears to be quarter-sawn. Each side of the table apron has several shallow wide drawers adorned with carved oak bin pulls. This table may be picked up in Boylston. MA. Please email for an estimate if shipping is required. The table is 20 in. tall and is 18in. wide. The base/ legs is in excellent original condition. Great original patina. The top has a few issues. The top is made up of 3 boards and two glued up seems. One seem is original and untouched and just beginning to open up a bit. Structurally very sound. Its good. The other seem looks to have been worked on. Its tight and also very sound. The top also has 1in. area thats about 1/8in. deep that looks to me to have been sanded/ worked smooth. One or two screws missing and a few are new. A magnificent library or conference table Dimensions 12 feet long by 53 inches wide. Six legs. 35 inches tall. Construction Oak finish; geometric pattern on legs and below table rim. The underside of the table reveals solid wood construction throughout. Using dimensional lumber; that, plus the style, suggests an early 20th century date, but we are not experts. Condition Very good to excellent. With no stains on the finish. There are small nicks and chips on the leg detailing. Missing one one-inch by seven-inch piece of trim on one leg. Tobey Stickley Oak Arts and Crafts Library or Trestle Table
Here is a wonderful Arts and Crafts oak trestle or library table fresh from a Nebraska estate. I believe it was made by Tobey Furniture but it is not shown in the Tobey book. It has a similar cutout on the ends as some others in the Tobey book. The top is a full one inch thick and has clip corners. The table is 42 inches by 25 1/2 inches and is 29 1/4 inches tall. It has a bottom shelf with a cutout at each end. The splayed ends give this a wonderful look. The bottom shelf has through tenon with pegs. It is in excellent condition. No stains and just some minor scratches which I have tried to show in the photos. There are some touched up scratches on one side shown in photos 3 and 4. The bottom of the feet are slightly dry and could be touched up with finish but there is no rot or deterioration of the wood. Graceful Arts and Crafts/Mission small table, vanity in great condition
Lovely little four drawer table in quarter sawn oak in the Arts and Crafts/mission style. I believe it may have been a vanity. All knobs are present and the drawers work as expected. Measurements are approx. 35" x 18" x 32" tall. The drawers are dovetailed. Also I found the vanity portion. Which I thought I had and could not locate! Unique Tiger Maple Top Arts & Crafts Trestle Table
This table is a knockout. The top is solid tiger maple-with a few imperfections. As one might expect from an old piece. It could be refinished to get rid of the ring stain and the other stain opposite, but the patina is so gorgeous I couldn't bring myself to do it. This is probably an interpretation of a Craftsman table, beautifully executed. Table is sturdy and generous, would make a great work space or a kitchen table as well. 30 1/2" high x 3 ft. wide x 28" deep. For delivery. I recommend either TSC Moving or Uship. Fabulous Charles Limbert Quartersawn Oak Library Table. I believe the finish is original as well as the hardware(obviously screws& washers have been replaced) This is not a claim I make lightly. Please see pics! Burned Limbert Arts& Crafts stamp on inside of drawer on the left. Measures 42” wide x 30” deep x 29 1/2” height. Condition: Pretty amazing. No cracks anywhere. It's a very solid. Sturdy, handsome construction. Flaws: On the top of the desk there is a spot on the right that is darker(see pic#9) where it looks like someone probably sat an ink bottle then tried to remove a bit of ink. It looks like it's been there for a very long time. It's not an eyesore but needs to be pointed out. There is also a very small gouge or nick on the right side(see pic#12) On the left leg there is a strange"mystery" spot(flat) ... morewith a tiny spot of paint next to it(see pic#10) Lastly. On the back edge of the top you see a little paint where someone put it up against a wall when there was wet paint(see pic#11) The inside drawer does have ink stains. If you'd like a pic I can certainly send it. Pic#6 is a close-up of the finish on the drawer(outside) to help uphold my claims of it being the original finish. I'm really just trying to point out anything I see as a flaw no matter how small. I've made no attempt to oil it or clean it with any chemicals. Obscure STEPHEN IZANT Studio California Artist Hand Wrought Iron and Marble Table Born in Cleveland. OH on Oct. 7, 1884. Izant started his business career in his native city as architect and engineer. From 1916-23 he was works manager of Corning Glass Works in Corning, NY. He settled in Los Angeles in 1923 and became general manager of the A. J. Bayer Company. He cast the original Academy Award“Oscar” before establishing his own metal manufacturing company in 1939. His company produced the beautiful metal work on the Doheny Memorial Library and the Hancock Memorial. Purchased directly from his daughter Betty Izant(deceased) at her residence in Ojai California in 1999. His work rarely comes to market and most certainly goes unrecognized. Antique Mission Arts Crafts Octagonal Top Wedge Tenon Table Plant Stand Nice
We have never touched the finish and it has always been in climate controlled smoke free environments. It is not signed or marked anywhere. The wedge tenon is at the bottom and a slip type mortise joint is at the top of each leg. The wood looks like mahogany? Maybe walnut. But we are not experts about that. The top is 16 inches in diameter when measured from point to point and 15 inches from flat side to flat side. It is 18 inches tall and the legs(not counting the tenons) are 11 inches from outside edge to outside edge. There are some areas on the top(see photos) that appear to be some kind of blemishes that have been there since we acquired it. Questions welcome. This is a very nice piece of original furniture.
