PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original to desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. A little more interesting than many I have seen. It is labelled F.S. Harmon& Co. FS Harmon is a Tacoma based company that made furniture in the early 1900s. It is labelled on the bottom(pic#4) This library table dates to the 1910s to 1920s. An interesting thing on this desk. Is that the drawer has a hidden spring activated lock below the drawer which is original. You pull the spring knob down(pic#3) and you can open and close the drawer. If you don't pull the spring knob, it doesn't open. Condition is fair to good for age. Finish is old and possibly original. I noticed an area on the top wear the finish is quite worn. I noticed a few rings on the top of the table. Could use ... morea coat of wax but looks nice as is. There are some scuffs and dings on the edges from age and use. Normal scuffs, dings, and scratches from age and use. No breaks or repairs. Overall a very nice example of antique Washington State produced furniture. This is an original. Large oak library table, currently being decommissioned from the library in which it has resided since 1904. Measurements: Length: 95 ½ inches. Width: 47 ½ inches. Height: 31 ½ inches. This table will need restoration. As the top was covered in Formica, probably ... moreback in the 1970’s. Viewing the table-top from underneath, it appears that the original solid oak top is still existing beneath the Formica sheath. There is a piece of wood missing from one corner of the apron(see photo) The base finish needs restoration. However, this is a very solid, sturdy conference table. The double-pedestal base features 4 sided. Graduated columnar legs attached to an H-stretcher. The oak composing the legs and the stretcher appears to be quarter-sawn. Each side of the table apron has several shallow wide drawers adorned with carved oak bin pulls. This table may be picked up in Boylston. MA. Please email for an estimate if shipping is required. This is a gorgeous Charles Limbert quartersawn oak library table. It has the burned Limbert Art& Crafts stamp on the inside of the drawer. On the left. Notice the the bottom shelf is pegged and morticed. There is a missing slide-out shelf. The top measures 48" by 28& 1/4" and it is 39" tall. I don't see any ink stains on the top. Library Table and Six Chairs British Oak by Jamestown Lounge Co. Mission, A&C
Jamestown Lounge Co.Jamestown. New York(established 1888) was known for their oak furniture and their signature oak stain. Table measures Length 70" Width 30" Ht. 30" Table not marked that I can locate. Prior to my acquiring the table and chairs they were used in a church library. Chairs are stamped British Oak and have decorative carving on the back. Measure Ht. 33" from floor to top of back. Seat widest measurement 17" Back 14" These pieces have been in my home for 50 years and prior to my acquiring them they were used in a church library. Jamestown made their furniture by hand until after WWI. One chair has a water stain on the seat. The table has a 1/8" hole where a lamp was used. Overall the furniture is in in good condition.
