ANTIQUE 1930s FRENCH ART DECO LOUIS XIV ACCENT GILDED IRON TABLE MARBLE TOP
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique side/accent table. Circa 1930s-1940s, this table is a fantastic example of French Art Deco with some obvious Louis XIV or Empire influences. The table base is gilded iron and combines sleek lines with ornate details. The table has 4 double curved legs that attach to a circular cross piece. The legs have small spherical finials at the ends. The top of the table base is adorned with gorgeous curved iron. A gilded tole drapery and swag pattern is present around the entire upper circumference. Large, dimensional rosettes, also in gilded tole, are attached as accents. The table top is a gorgeous stone(marble/quartz/granite) in a grayish taupe color. It has a soft pattern and is not"busy" The top is marked on the bottom with a large center character and with"W. Port France" printed ... moreon the underside as well. I do not know if the top is original to the base. The base has an inner lip which may have been home to a piece of glass at one time. As it is, the stone sits independently on top of the base. Regardless, this is a stunning table. It is in wonderful condition with very little evidence of age or use. There are some small faded areas to the gilded finish, but these are very minor and do not distract from the piece. The stone is quite heavy. The table, though open in design, has a substantial feel and also has weight to it. It is very sturdy. The piece measures as follows: The marble top is 22" in diameter and is approximately.75" thick. The table base is 24.5" tall without the stone top. It is 20.1/8 wide at the exterior top measurement and is 19.7/8" in diameter at the bottom. With the stone attached. The table is 25.5" tall. Vintage / Antique Iron Marble Center Table Console Spanish Revival
Up for consideration is a fine Spanish Revival Iron and Marble Center or console table. The table is decorated fully on all sides meaning that it probably a center piece as opposed to a console table that sat against the wall only. It measures 30 inches wide 15 inches deep by 31 inches tall. The piece has great form with nice lines. There are several little finials that hang around the piece. A few are missing. Obscure STEPHEN IZANT Studio California Artist Hand Wrought Iron and Marble Table Born in Cleveland. OH on Oct. 7, 1884. Izant started his business career in his native city as architect and engineer. From 1916-23 he was works manager of Corning Glass Works in Corning, NY. He settled in Los Angeles in 1923 and became general manager of the A. J. Bayer Company. He cast the original Academy Award“Oscar” before establishing his own metal manufacturing company in 1939. His company produced the beautiful metal work on the Doheny Memorial Library and the Hancock Memorial. Purchased directly from his daughter Betty Izant(deceased) at her residence in Ojai California in 1999. His work rarely comes to market and most certainly goes unrecognized. Antique Victorian Ornate Cast iron Metal Marble Stand Table. Beautiful curved legs and ornate lower and upper shelf. Upper section has a 8" x 8" square marble top with some scratches on it. Tables gold gilt finish looks to be original with a nice patina. Possible it has been repainted but would have been along time ago if not original finish, There's some rust on bottom and the finish does have scuffs and scratches. Needs dusted, we wiped off with soap and water but as seen it still has dust in the ornate ereas. This is a magnificent vintage antique Art Deco wrought iron and marble top Demi lune console table with an attached etched mirror that is topped of by a bonnet/ canopy bouquet light. Circa 1930. These are usually sets in two separate pieces but this is one piece( although it is made to come apart for moving) This is one of the best I have ever seen. What we have here is a Mid 1900's Marble& Cast Iron Coffee Table. Even though this piece has been in my family for generations I am unable to give an exact date of manufacture. For it's age this piece is in wonderful condition. Marble top has subtle. Beautiful marks with a lovely designed edge. The cast iron base a unique curling design. Please note there are three minor hairline"fractures" on the marble top. Very fine and barely noticeable. There also is a very small chip on the edge and some minor surface scratches. The top and bottom are not attached. Making it easy for transporting. Measures 44" across by 15" high. It weighs a lot! This is a solid and sturdy piece of furniture. We have here an Antique Cast Iron Ornate Marble Top Pedestal Lamp Stand Table. It stands 30" tall. 13 3/4" wide top. Has beautiful detail in all areas! Nice thumbprint style around marble. Beautiful etch work and fancy feathered feat. Beautiful ornate scroll work on the little shelf. No breaks. No cracks. Light rust on base of feet. No marks found. I took a close up picture. There is an OLD weld done. It looks professional, even has a screw for security. Marble is a BEAUTIFUL! Creamy ivory with different tones of orange and black veins. Has two little holes so that it locks into place on the top of stand. Nice feature as its added security that the marble will not fall. The marble again is just gorgeous. Lovely tones of orange and reds, just stunning. One spot of loss. Along side of marble, its the dark orange or light brown color ... morevein that runs through, its brittle and there is a spot of los. This is natural loss, not cracked or split.
