Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. C. 1750-70 Primary Woods: Cherry Secondary Woods: Yellow Pine Item# 100005WPP31 This is a remarkably well preserved original Queen Anne drop leaf dining table with gating legs over pad feet. It features solid tight grained entirely solid single planks of cherry making up the leaves and top. Each with warm patina and character brought to the forefront in a dry lightly glossy and rather early finish. Notwithstanding the significant cracks in the top and the slight warp to one leaf, the table is almost entirely original. These surfaces were repaired at one point, probably in the first quarter of the 20th century, an attempt to heal the shrink cracks along the grains of the very broad boards. To bring the best ... moreout of the table, these should eventually have the putty removed from the cracks and be repaired again properly; however, the boards are gorgeous and are full of glow even without being repaired. The leaves hang on fully original hand crafted and forged iron hinges. Each still in place and undisturbed, heavily oxidized with original hand forged screws. The frame is a fully dovetailed pine secondary structure with wonderful oxidization throughout. The gating legs join the frame with original hand forged iron hinges that uniquely swing the legs in a smooth motion- this is a rather rare feature, as legs typically would swing on a pine hinge with a wooden or iron dowel joint. The legs terminate in bold and well carved pad feet, each with excellent form. With wonderful proportions being only 40 1/4" long. This is the perfect length for a hall table in rested form with a chair on either side. VICTORIAN BALL & CLAW FOOT LAMP END TABLE
I found these table parts under a bed in a house we bought. The bottom shelf would attach with screws from underneath screwed into the legs and then attach into a slot on the underside of the top. It has a scalloped or serpentine edge and legs with eagle talons wrapped around 1 1/4" diameter glass balls for feet. The balls are very secure& a few are worn on the bottom from use. The top is about 24" square. The lower shelf is about 16" square and the legs are 29" long. There are no marks indicating a manufacturer. Age, or anything. Feel free to email me with any questions. This is a wonderful early claw foot side table by Imperial Furniture Company that I picked up from a Connecticut estate. It has a very nice look that would compliment many interiors. It is marked with the Imperial badge. A sticker that once read"Made In Grand Rapids" and two numbers: 2022& 55. Measurements: 25" length x 17.25" wide x 18" tall Condition: Structurally it is solid and very well built. With age comes some issues though: All that I mention here can be seen in the photos) There is some wear to the finish. Specifically around the edges. There are a few scratches on the table top- A claw foot is missing on one leg- In the 3rd to last photo you'll see some cracks. Antique Vintage Imperial Mahogony Side Table Carving Claw Foot Grand Rapids
This table is in fine vintage condition. It is an excellent example of the tables turned out by the Imperial Furniture Company that operated in Grand Rapids. MI from 1903-1954. The company was founded by Stuart Foote in 1903 who learned the art of furniture-making by working at his father's business, The Grand Rapids Chair Company. Imperial Furniture Company's primary business was tables. See link below) This table has the Imperial sticker and a made in Grand Rapids sticker. As best I can tell. The sticker seems to indicated that this side table was made in either 1954 or 1939 based on the appearance of the sticker. The table is structurally very sound and well built, no loose parts, which is amazing for a table of this age. The top of the table does show wear and watermarks and someone may want to refinish it, but is perfectly usable ... moreas is. There are four pedestal legs, each of which ends in a meal claw. The base of the table shows ornate carving that appears to be a leaf or fern frond. Top is a square shape with an apron and routed edges. Stands about 26 inches high and is about 18 inches square. This table does not disassemble for shipping. Local pickup is probably best but I will help with shipping in any way that I can. I just sold a Danish Modern Dresser to a gal in Chicago and she used Pac Mail 425-803-0627 of Bellevue. They came to my house and got the dresser and packed it up. Antique SteamPunk Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table w foot rest 1894 60" Top
This is not only an amazing piece of American Industrial Age history but a usable drafting table. Artists desk. The desk top is 60 inches by 39 inches and has a great catch lip so that if you tilt it for storage you can leave your pens etc. Marked patent March 6, 1894 The base is 26 inches wide. The foot rest is 43 1/2 inches by 5 inches. The foot rest is a really great feature. The height of the table is adjustable by just about eight inches. So where I have the base at 37 inches high I think it is meant to be adjust from about 32 to 40 inches which probably gives you a standard 42 inch table height. This table came to me in this formation from another artist. So if there were other accessories or mechanics I am not aware of what they may have been. Someone had also added a piece of wood well before my time to stabilize the one height clamp ... morebar. I replaced the top screws for ease of adjusting the table top. As you can see it goes from fully flat to an upright position with any angle in between. It stores upright for space saving in a studio. It has obvious signs of age and use by artists, with pin holes, paint marks etc. This is awesome for an 119 year old working artist table. It can be refinished, and the hardware replaced or used as it is. A great piece of furniture for a loft or studio space. I haven't used it in a decade and I need to downsize. The table comes with the set of matching 8 chairs as shown in the picture. We can safetly say this is the ultimate dining set and would last you for many generations. Hence becoming a great heirloom. I honestly hope the photos do this set some justice, it's certainly better in the flesh. When fully extended by the leaf system this seats 8 people more than comfortably and 10 easily. The table extends easily by the wind up mechanism where you insert the big handle in one hand(please see close up picture) and ... moreeverything is of course provided. Perhaps the main feature of the table is the fantastic marquetry inlay work on all surfaces. The patterns and designs include flowers. Vines, scrolls and leaves. If you consider the process to acheive this you can appreciate the skill, levels of craftmanship and time it would have taken. Each shape from the designs is cut from the softer fruitwoods(rose, apple etc) and then embedded into the main body of the walnut. You can see the walnut also is gorgeous and it has all just been repolished so the grain has come out. There are even marquetry inlay details on the sides of the table and to the octagonal legs. The legs are on wheels so this is easy to move around. This is a fine table. Offered in perfect condition and ready for home use right away. Then of course we have the set of 8 matching chairs- including two arm chairs and six side chairs. The chairs are solid and sturdy and very comfortable to sit on with the cushioned red fabric seats. These have just been reupolstered so are free from any previous owners smells including pets and smoke, always a bonus. Look at the wealth of marquetry inlay work on the chairs- even on the legs and front.

Up for auction is this 42" round oak table with paw feet and two leaves(not original) It's been off ebay for a while because I thought I had it sold. But no go. It is clean, clean, clean.
