Up for your consideration is this antique 18th century Queen Anne style French marble top candlestick table. The stamp on the bottom reads: Made in France" It is not antique I believe but has good age perhaps fifty years or more. The table is made of wood. Metal and marble. The wood has a dark walnut finish with an antique gold accent on the stem. The marble top has a salmon and brown finish. The table is in good solid condition overall with nicks and scrapes here and there, stain loss, repairs to the wood and tarnish to the metal. The marble top has a hairline running through it and a small 1/2" x 1/2" chip on the side(see photo) that could be left as is, filled or perhaps filed down. Accent table beautiful inlays Moorish-Moroccan style antique 19th Century
Lovely wood table from my mother's estate. With beautiful inlay work including mahogany, boxwood and mother-of-pearl inlays on top and sides. This was gifted to her when we moved from the UK in the late 1960s. My mom believed it to be of French origins. Louis XVI, however while doing research online I have found nearly identical pieces identified as 19th Century Moroccan or Moorish influence design, produced in Great Britain and possibly France when the Moor school of design was in vogue. The table is an ideal size for accent use and is very"condo-friendly" in its dimensions: 18.5 inches high by 11.5 inches top diameter. Interesting history: this was given to my mom by a Mrs. Walters. A neighbour and my sometimes babysitter, who was the widow of a one-time high-end hotelier in London. He was a close friend of, and one of the ... moreoriginal financial backers of, Charlie Chaplin on his road to fame. The Tramp may well have set his teacup, or other more interesting drink, on this very table. Their hotel was damaged during bombing in the Blitz and was subsequently torn down. This table was rescued along with other personal belongings from their private apartment in the hotel. Sorry I don't recall the name of the hotel. Condition: Displays very nicely. Has some bruises that I will describe(and have done my best to capture in the photos) This was used in our family home, so there are minor mars in a couple of spots along the edge of the top and one or two light dings in the wood. The finish has darkened in one corner. There are white lines on all the legs, I have tried to rub them out with no success. Offered in"as-is" condition Item# 1210SKM08PP With some work. This could be restored to the attractive decorative work it once was- already heavily rebuilt many decades ago using old parts to lend originality and age to the table as it was"reimagined" for a second time during the 20th Century, the table has a rough and attractive appeal that would be lively if you have the skill to regild/inpaint the gesso, repair the veneer dings/chips and strengthen the central pillar with some blocking. It features a broad solid black and gray marble top(chipped edges) Resting over a new mahogany veneered top with pine plywood secondary woods, ... moreattaching to the head of the base with screws from beneath. The pedestal itself appears to be of the period, probably c. 1825, a wonderful gesso decorated and gilt highlighted work of art that is wrapped in a bulbous leafed palmetto formation over a ring turned base. This tenons into the triangular Lion Footed mahogany veneered base. Most of the feet are rebuilt, though after one original foot to maintain the integrity of the design. This is an affordable piece for anyone who wants to bring the style of the French Empire into their home without paying high four figures for a more original example. Measurements: 36" wide x 29 1/4" high Condition Report: Severely distressed gilt with exposed and damaged gesso on pedestal. Numerous chips to marble top around the edge(all photographed in the slideshow) Composed of old parts. Meaning portions of this table seem to have originally been from a period Gueridon table, probably damaged significantly which led to it being overhauled: Round top is not original, most feet are rebuilt(one looks like it is original) regilded, the top of the pedestal is 20th century, the marble is probably later too. Antique Mid Century Wooden Folding Campagin Table
This campaign table is in remarkably excellent shape considering it's age. It was probably used in the 1920's. The wood has very little wear and tear. Please see close up photos. The folding legs still fold up and down quite easily. The top measures 29 inches by 18 inches and it stands 18 1/2 inches tall. It is still very sturdy and tight. It is also a very beautiful little table. I do not know what kind of wood it is. But it is solid and handsome. It was very well made, for it is still very very usable.

Tiles are in very good condition. One of the legs has lost the weld to the center circle at the bottom and is held in place with wire- see the last picture. The table stands on turned rosewood bun feet rising over which are the moulded splay legs to the tripod base and a baluster turned column rising over with a baluster and gun-barrel turned column. The table is surmounted by a solid rosewood veneered top. The table has a modern base using old timbers for the top. The top made from an old piano case using the top, having figured rosewood veneer on a solid rosewood base with a chamfered and moulded edge, top standing on an elm block with re-claimed elm stretchers. They are of differing heights but theirsingular uniqueness lends them quite an artisan air. The tallest of the two is 22 1/2" H and 11 1/4"across the platen. And its smaller match is 17 1/2" H and 8 1/2" across. They are of a leather like darker brown color which sets off a rather comfortable contrast with a wood floored sitting room or the like. The interesting thing about these stands/tables is that the chassis holding them together are steel. To work case hardened steel into these vine patterns must have taken some craftsmanship. This is a 1920's Unique Antique CENTURY FURNITURE CO. Grand Rapids. Michigan Trefoil Oak Side Table with Burl Wood Top. The Top has Small Ends of the Legs that are Pegged Through the Burl, see third photo. The Table measures 22 1/2" high x 20" across two lobes x 18 5/8" across the lobes to the opposite sides. The Underside of the Shelf has the Original Label"From the Shops of the Centvry Fvrnitvre Co. Grand Rapids, Michigan. and Burned in Mark"Centvry Grand Rapids" and Black Stamped"K1023" Mark.
