Take a look at the photos. It has all sorts of burl accent panels, rosette buttons all over the place and the base has big bold heavy legs with button accents and burl trim up and down. The legs are joined together with a center turn finial and end in porcelain wheels. There are few flecks here and there and a couple of buttons missing here and there on the trim. The white and gray grain marble has a reverse curve corner with skirted matching base and an ogee bevel edge. The overall size is 31 inches long, 24 inches deep and 30 inches high overall. There are no serious repairs needed on this heavy duty high quality table.

The four legs are joined together with cross stretchers in the center with a huge center finial that is an open cup. The overall size is 36 inches long, 26 inches deep and 30 inches high. Table comes with two skirted leaf inserts. Inserts still match perfectly. No difference in tone or richness. No sway of any kind in table. Table is in remarkable condition. Minor wear on surface with some dryness of veneer. One small spot where wear is a more advanced(see pic 9) Carved trim around edge is cracked in several places. Unique Pretty Carved Leg Painted Insert Mahogany Coffee Side Table From Scotland
This auction is for a super neat and pretty Painted Insert or Panel on a Mahogany Table with beautiful carved legs from Scotland. Painted furniture is new to me. We seldom buy or even try to get it. But this table just caught my eye and I had to get it. The legs are beautifully carved on two quarters on each leg and each have wonderful"victorian" style feet. The apron under tha table top is Solid Mahogany with a very pretty wavy cut on all four side. The stretcher base has the"wishbone" design on each end and is connected with a solid mahogany stretcher and Get This, each"wishbone" and the stretcher are all"beveled" The top is"beveled" all the way around. It's one of not only the prettiest tables I have seen in a while, but it's extremely well made, Solid& Stable to boot. It would make a Great smaller coffee table and would also Look Superb in your sun room or covered porch. It could also serve as a side or end table and would look good with a sectional type couch. For Sure, you would want it to be seen by everyone. The table is solid mahogany except for the painted area. It is a veneer that has been inset into the top. The painted area is what I would call slightly distressed, not over done to where the wood shows through, but enough to give it a nice look. My wife said, if she were to keep it, she would have a glass top cut to cover the top. Any local glass shop could do this and it would surprise you at how little it would cost. One thing is for sure, It's the Only One Like It, It's a True One-Of-The-Kind. The table is 28 7/8" X 19 1/4" and 21 3/4" tall. It will have some light blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) nicks. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. OLD, French inlay marquetry table. This wonderful accent table features a combination of mahogany and rosewood. There is a unique inlay design on the table top which features a tulip flower at each of the 4 corners. The table is oblong, not square, with rounded curves that soften the lines. The top is skirted on each side with an inlay design on the 2 longer skirted sections. The delicate cabriole legs feature a carved rose and leaf drapery detail on the upper sections with additional carving on the lower regions. The table is quite nice and is in good condition. There are some signs of age/use on the finish. These do not distract from the table and do add to its"antique character" These can be resolved, if you prefer, with a little stain and a top coat of varnish. And was paid $475 on June 22nd, 1928, see letter below) for the“reproduction of the Phyfe card table” It’s amazing what the client paid for it, as a car could have been purchased for this amount at that time. Also below are pictures of Hagen’s design for the table, and referencing the Cornelius book on Phyfe, plate. XXXV(shown below) Comparatively speaking, he did a fabulous job, because the carving is first class in every way, and the wood quality actually appears period. For auction is an adorable. Oval top, carved occasional gate leg table. I purchased about 5 years ago, and the table was marked Irish, 1830's. I am not an expert, hopefully you are: and can date and/or place the table. I can tell that it's made of oak, the carving is very well executed, and the table is overall in very good condition. Size- it's diminutive. Just 24" in height, 21" wide at large side of oval, 18.5" at small side of oval. When closed, table is just 6.5" across, so closed size is 18" x 6.5" I believe that the table has it's original finish; I've kept the table in a quiet corner of the house. And have oiled it a couple of times(with orange oil) while in possession. There is a'patch' on one of the'leaves' where it split some time ago. The split is visible on the ... moretable top- but in my view does not take anything way. On the underside of the table two metal straps were added for support.
