Nice California Tile top table. Tile maker unknown but appears early. The top measures about 18"x18" and the height is 22" The california style tiles in the center which appears to be a stylized orange motif measures about 12x12" The center tiles are in good condition for their age with the usual crazing. The outside mosaic tiles are also in good condition with one corner tile missing. The grouting around the center and mosaic tiles is in good condition and is all there. Not loose or cracking. The metal frame holding the tiles has some rust but is solid and the metal base appears rust free and is in very nice condition. The cement board backing is in good condition. The table weights about 45 pounds and will be shipped UPS Ground to the lower 48 states. Offered is a wonderful Spanish Revival Mission tile top table from the early 20th century. Tiles are in great condition with original grouting; no chips. Cracks or damage other than a bit of surface wear. Tiles are black. Orange and cream. The edges of the black sort of bleed a dark green, though not as much as it appears in photos. Was unable to identify the tile company. But it's in the style of Taylor I believe the wood border around the tiles is mahogany. Legs are sturdy. Table has been well cared for all these years. It looks as though wood dowels have been added to the underside from the aprons to each leg for stability. Wood finish is in good. Original condition. The weight given is a close guesstimate. THIS IS AN OLD MISSION STYLE CALIFORNIA TILE TABLE WITH WOOD AND WROUGHT IRON BOTTOM. THE TABLE IS VERY OLD AND HAS CRAZING. ALOT OF THE GROUT IS GONE AND THERE IS ONE VERY FINE V SHAPED CRACK IN THE FIRST TABLE. THE WOOD IS JUST AS I BOUGHT I JUST PUT SOME FURNITURE OIL ON IT BECAUSE IT WAS VERY DRY. THE BOTTOM OF THE TABLE HAS ONE SCREW MISSING AND THERE ARE A COUPLE OF PHILLIPS SCREWS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALL THE REST ARE THE ORIGINAL STRAIGHT SCREWS. Up for Auction is a Vintage 1930's California Tile Top Table. There are four individual 5-3/4 inch square tiles inlaid to form a 11-3/4 inch square. The tiles have a Spanish floral pattern and are dark blue/black. Turquoise, orange rust, tan and cream with a light peach color grout. The table top measures 16-3/4 inches square and stand 17 inches tall is made from a walnut colored wood. It is in very good condition for it's age. The grout is all in place, the tiles show signs of light scratches and some faint discoloration but no chips or cracks. The wood is sound and sturdy showing signs of normal wear from age and use. A Very Rare Wrought Iron And Tile Console Table Los Angeles. California Circa 1927-1930 From the early"golden age" of California art tile. This table is truly a work of art. The tiles are a Moorish-style geometric pattern with a satiny glaze of orange. Cobalt, buff yellow, and dark tan. The tiles are attributed to the workshop of either Hispano-Moresque or D& M. There is some minor grout loss around the edges of the tile but all the tiles are original. Have never been reset, and there are no cracks or chips. The exceptionally ornate table base is the work of a master craftsman and completely wrought by hand. The iron has an old black painted surface with traces of the original red primer showing through. Up for bid is an antique California Tile Table that is attributed to the Tudor Tile Company. The company was in business in Los Angeles from 1927 until 1939. This mural tile table consists of six tiles with stylized parrots on a black background. It measures approximately 23 3/4" by 17 1/2" wide by 18" tall. Each individual tile measures just under 6" by 6" closer to 5 3/4" This table may be found in the book titled"California Revival" by Coates& Dietz on page number 184. 6 TILE MISSION STYLE TABLE D&M Spanish? Batchelder? California Tiles
This lot consists of a Mission Style Table. With 6 Tiles- each approx. 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" in size. I haven't a clue on the maker of the tiles- D&M? Batchelder? Catalina, nor do I have a clue on the maker of the base. It could be homemade? Has a unique combination of iron and wood- I don't see another one like it on Ebay. Three of the corners have obvious cracking extending into the tile approx. 3" see photo's) Overall size of the piece is approx. 16" x 22" x 20" in height. As you can see in the photo's- this table has wheels. The wood is thick(approx. 1 1/4" and the table is heavy. Top appears to be Oak, bottom pieces not sure of(they seem to have a different finish as well) Overall condition is GOOD, but with some obvious cracking on the tiles. Don't have a clue who made the tiles or ... morethe wood portion. Appears to have been restained and/or revarnished. Also note: they're is some scratching on the tiles, but nothing too major.
