But was told by seller, 30 yrs. ago, that this workbench was used by a furniture builder in the late 1700's. 89 1/2" Long, 17" Wide, 26" High, top board is 2 3/4" thick. Has full height wood clamp on left leg with carved wood screw. Main photo shows iron stop bar protruding from top. Last photo shows antique level(not near as old) included. Top is severely cut and chipped and adds greatly to appeal. This is a great example of early American capital, within first 26 years of Nation's birth. Would look great as hallway table in old house or log cabin. Legs protrude the top with mortise and tenon joints.

Antique Carpenters Workbench with Vise
Up for auction is a great Antique Carpenter's Workbench with a quick release vise and eight drawers. It is in as found condition distressed with old paint on it from use. The butcher block top measures 52" x 22 1/4" and the vise sticks out 3 3/4" The base with its paneled sides is 36" x 19" and has 8 drawers. One drawer handle is broken and there is a chunk out of one drawer. The handles are labeled with letters that look like they were made by nail impressions. The locks are signed Sheldon& Co. Locks. Antique Wood Carving / Cabinetmakers Workbench with Two Wooden Vices
Antique Wood Carving/ Cabinetmakers Workbench with Two Wooden Screw Vices 24" deep. 80" long top + 6" for vice, 33" high, 2 1/2" thick hardwood top. The top is very heavy, removable, and it is held in place with pegs. The base is held together with wedges as seen on the left side. A previous owner added a board to the back of the workbench top to attach the bench to a wall. The workbench is in good working condition for woodworking. Both vices can be tightened very tight but the left vice has some chips in the screw thread as shown in one of the pictures. The left leg of the base was previously patched with a piece of plywood. I believe that it is supposed to be held in place with a peg similar to the top. The tray at the back of the bench is about 1/2" short. Obviously there are lots of nicks. Scrapes, paint ... morespots, and other imperfections in the workbench. The biggest imperfection in the top is just to the left of the right vice and is at max 1/8" deep. The base of the workbench is held together with a unique design using wedges so it can also be taken apart. The workbench is very sturdy and usable in its current condition. Without too much effort this workbench could be a nice piece of furniture. I am selling it because we downsized and as can be seen in the pictures it is too big for my small workshop. It would be a great addition to a cabinet maker who uses hand tools. The wire baskets did not work out well and are not included. Local pickup only. However. Incredible work of art.steampunk. Industrial desk, loft furniture,work bench, table, machine age, reclaimed wood. Perfect as a sideboard. Kitchen island, desk, workbench, table, bar height table I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small barn that was going to be demolished. The barn was right here in my home town of Fox River Grove. Illinois. This workbench was one of many treasures I acquired. It was in rough condition when I rescued it. I knew I could restore it to full glory. I think it came out spectacular, however you will be the judge, perhaps it will speak to you like it does to me! This is built like a battleship. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there ... moreare so many other bolts&nuts holding the top in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the 3/4"thick oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges of the piece are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some of the solid oak pegs in the top to seal old holes. The entire bench has been hand sealed with varnish. Everything including the underside of the top. The entire metal frame has been sealed, making it easy to wipe clean. the top was sealed with many, many coats of hand rubbe

Vintage Antique Solid Wood Industrial Factory Shop Workbench Table Great Patina
For auction is one beautiful vintage solid pine antique workbench. It has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. The top is made ofsolid 1.25" thick solid pine planks with a nicely weathered piece of Masonite over it with a semigloss sheen. It is very sturdy and has two drawers with gorgeous oval bronze pulls. There are holes here and there on the top from where vices and the like were at one time bolted. The pine is older growth and is free of knots. The very end of the backing trim has a cut out from where an outlet used to be. It measures 72" wide. 29" deep and 37" tall. There is 30.25" of clearance beneath the lower edge to the ground. This would make a fantastic standing desk. Restaurant or store fixture. The industrial grade frame is fantastic, it reminds me of a steel bridge.with the large rivets and big bolts&nuts.A few of the nuts are missing below the top, it has no effect on strength.there are so many other bolts&nuts holding the top in place, as I said built like a battleship! The top is 3 1/4 inches thick. Made of a total of 3 layers of wood. Uner the 3/4"thick oak strip top are 2 thick layers of planks, the front and side edges of the piece are covered in pine. I love the incredible patina of all of the wood including stains. Nail& screw holes, oak pegs, pinholes, orange-ish stain area on left side of top, there is even an area on the front left trim where the wood was charred from being burned(it is sealed with varnish and looks great)no doubt a torch was used to repair/weld something.The top has some waviness/wear as you would expect with age, it just adds to the wonderful character. The patina is second to none.patina like this can only be created by years& years of use and hundreds of projects being done on this bench I restored the entire bench by hand. I added some

Antique Cabinet Maker's Workbench Carpenter Circa Early 1900's
Very nice antique cabinet maker/carpenter's workbench. Can be repurposed for many uses. This piece was uncovered in the workshop of the Manhattan mansion owned by the FAO Schwarz family. Circa early 1900's. This piece is made of hardwood and is in unrestored condition- not belt sanded. Not polyed, etc. However, it does appear that the legs were stained a different color than the top wood at some point. The workbench has a recessed tool tray typical of a cabinet maker's workbench. Fully functional antique cabinet maker's bench. All the clamps. Jaw dogs, and vises are in working order. It can clamp different size wooden objects using the jaw dogs in the vise and do so in many different directions. Very sturdy and solid.
