Up for sale is this Antique railroad factory industrial cart in all original unrestored condition. This cart measures 48" long(53" with metal) by 25" wide and 14 1/4" tall. It has heavy duty cast iron wheels that are in good condition with no cracks- very solid. No end-to-end rocking: These carts were designed and built to be used in factories. They are solid and strong. But they rock end-to-end. This is actually part of their design. It made them easier to roll over the uneven surfaces of a factory floor. It's a good design for a factory, but bad for a table. So. We fix the rocking by adding an improved set screw to each end-wheel and ship a wrench with the cart so you can adjust the table just the way you want it. Made by Service Caster and Truck Co. in Albion, MI, was recently removed from Messing Planing Mill in St. Louis. MO. It is fully functional. In original condition and can be used as a cart or small table. This is a smaller but taller style cart and measures 36"L) x 24"W) x 26"H) and weighs a measly 270 lbs. It is in the exact condition that it was when it was removed from the building. Anything that looks white is gypsum that fell from the leaky roof and stuck to the wheels. It will clean up great. The only missing part is one screw for the metal retention piece on the top(and I may have a replacement for it) All castings look to be solid with no repairs. Up for sale is this beautiful antique industrial railroad factory cart with heavy duty cast iron wheels and hardware. This cart has be completely restored- great decor and very functional repurposed as a coffee table. It measures 48" long(53" to metal) by 25 1/2" wide and 15" tall. The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. I have two of the same Identical Carts but have different wooden tops one being very used rustic looking the other has not gotten as much ware they are great for in front of your Coffee. Great for a coffee table. End table, weird chair of some kind, or other steampunk/industrial furniture! This cart is from a local furniture factory and has been used indoors. Measures 48" long X 24" wide X 14" high. With the hardware the cart measures 53" long. The large wheels are 12" in diameter and the small swivel wheels are 6" in diameter. Hardware The cast iron hardware is solid with no breaks or bends. No rust since this cart has not been used outside. All Wheels turn freely and easily. Center axle is not bent and is dead straight. Wheels are 12" for the middle ones and 6" for the end ones. Frame The frame of this cart is hardwood and solid. The wood surfaces have wear from being used in a factory. Incredible antique industrial cart. This would make a wonderful coffee table. This is not like the ones you typically see on Ebay or Craigslist or Antique stores. This one is larger and much more impressive. It measures 6 feet long by 3 feet wide. Plus it sits 15 inches tall. It has four rubber and metal tires, and even though it weighs around three hundred pounds, it basically glides on it’s wheels. The color is a rusty olive drab green. It was built by WELD-BILT and was used by some company called MWCO Oakland. This is all completely original with the exception of one 6 inch axle bolt and nut which I replaced because it was missing. These carts were routinely used by Factories and railroads for moving large heavy items. What an awesome coffee table or display table this would be. Antique 1911 Reclaimed Cart Repurposed Industrial Age Coffee Table ....SWEET!
Shipping is based on estimated size and poundage. Actual cost will be determined after the auction. This is an industrial cart that was reclaimed from a local manufacturing company. Dated 1911 on the bottom. The cart was given a new top from reclaimed barnwood from Northeast Indiana. The original cart top was a metal plate cover that had rusted. I used reclaimed Barnwood to create a brand-new top which was then screwed onto the original base. The cart rolls freely after the repairs were made to the wheels. Solid steel base and sturdy construction. This coffee table would be an exemplorary addition to any household. The cart was finished with several coats of tung oil and hand rubbed to a nice sheen.

Primitive Factory Cart Hardware Very old set of industrial cart hardware. These are off my personal factory cart coffee table. I left them as they were because I decorate in a very primitive style. However, they can be restored to give that Restoration Hardware look if desired. The first nine photos show them with a light cleaning, and the last two photos show all the pieces that are included in the auction. I took my table apart when I moved about a year ago and they have been collecting dust ever since. This particular hardware in my opinion has the most decorative corner brackets of any of the factory carts ~ very ornate. I am only selling them to pay for my husbands Fathers Day present. Antique Railroad Industrial Factory Lumber cart/coffee table-Reduced $$$
This is a great looking railroad cart. Often listed as an industrial. Factory, or lumber cart. All the wood is original in a gray weathered color. See pictures for details. This would make an outstanding looking coffee table or patio/outdoor piece of furniture. Depending on your tastes, you could put a piece of glass on the top and leave as is to appreciate the weathered wood and protect from spills, etc or go for a refurbished look. It is very heavy. The cart has been cleaned with water(wood and cast iron) and a wire brush has nicely cleaned up the cast iron wheels, axle, bolts, and corner pieces. There are no cracks in the wheels and the axle is straight. All wood pieces making up the frame are very solid. All the wood is very weathered but surprisingly smooth. There are cracks/chips in the wood(see pictures) but nothing is compromised. ... moreOne of the cast iron corners is cracked(see pictures) but is still bolted solid to the frame. Antique Tucker & Dorsey Factory Cart Railroad Industrial Coffee Table
This was made in Indianapolis IN by Tucker& Dorsey Manufacturing. This is all original as it sits. It is missing a few of the boards on the top which could be easily replaced with like color barn wood. I only see that there is 3 of the original carriage bolts and square nuts missing as well. The stenciling on the side is faded out quite a bit but some is still legible.This cart also would make a great restoration project for that perfect coffee table.
