This curtain rod measures over 17" long collapsed. It is one of the more ornate ones I've seen with a floral rose? design. The piece is in typical condition for its age. It shows wear. Paint loss, and scuffs. I don't know if the gold paint is original. Some of the base metal is showing and there is some white paint in some areas. There square rod shows a good deal of scratches and some rust. Unfortunately, there is only one. I didn't notice any major cracks, breaks, or damage. They are 9" by 10 1/2" in length. There are three screw holes in the longer side and one hole in the shorter side. No breaks or damage but there are a few rust spots and numerous paint chips. The top layer of paint is black which covers what appears to be a blue-green paint. The design is quite unusual. Antique Victorian Curtain Tie-Back Nail Cast Iron Porcelain Set Lot/6 Vtg Hook
From a local estate. Here is a group of matching curtain nails and tie-back hooks. Lot includes(4) hooks, cast iron base with brass hook part, rounded porcelain inserts. These measure about 2 7/8" long. Also included are(2) nails, also 2 7/8" long with porcelain insert, but these are not quite as ornate as the hooks. VTG 1930s RR Caboose Chrome Metal Victorian Hat Coat Hooks Pair Heavy Ornate
Statement piece for sure! I bought these at an estate sale. I was told they were from the 1930s and came from a Railroad caboose. I am just passing on info that was told to me when I purchased. Beautiful condition with a nice patina. Perfect in the hallway or elegant bathroom. These are extraordinary. Well made and very heavy with slotted screws in back. The double hook measures about 15" high, 9 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. I ship quickly. Thank you for looking at my other items.
