These are nice pieces seen all over France for holding back wooden shutters I believe that the figure is Marie Antoinette. But to be honest it is difficult to make out. Vintage 1950's NOS MIB Steel Shutter Turnbuckle Dogs New In Box MINT Condition
Made by The New Britain Tool& Manufacturing Co. They appear to be from the 1950's, maybe 1960's and they have not been out of the box much cuz they are in the exact condition you might get them in when they were originally shipped.Mint. They are flat-black and a heavy 1/8 inch thick steel with a good weight to the whole box.just over 9 ounces. 6-5/8 inches long and I don't know why there is an extra. Spare bolt, but I left it in there and there is no cotter pin hole in it and it looks like it may have been added to the box later cuz the square head has a tiny bit of paint loss, like someone used a wrench to try it on something else, anyhow it's an extra and the rest of the package is original and mint.
