Hi and welcome to my auction. For your bidding consideration is a large lot of antique/ vintage gutter parts. This architectural hardware came from a recent Lancaster County. PA. plain person" estate auction. It is my hope that someone may be looking for these. These will need to be cleaned up of paint and rust with a wire wheel. Wire brush, or sand blasted. A few may need to be straightened. The only thing I did to these was to remove the old nuts and bolts to make future cleaning easier. Once cleaned, all they need is a coat of paint. Vintage Cast Iron Hook, Attached Link & Ring, Steampunk, Alternative Art, Decor
Wonderful old hook with accompanying hardware ready to hang and use. It came from the most recent estate hunt where the majority of the items being sold were late 1800s-early 1900s and this hook could very well be from that era. There are no markings and it does look to be hand cast. Or forged. The full length of the hook is about 5-1/2" the bottom interior part of the crook measures about 1-1/2" It measures about 1/2" thick at the middle but tapers down at the end of the crook. The chain link is about 4-1/4" long and has an inside measurement across the middle of about 1-1/8" The diameter of the ring is about 3-1/4" Much of what we found at this sale was nautical so this could have been used in a nautical setting but it would work just as well in barn/farm or industrial surroundings. It is in overall excellent ... morecondition but is badly rusted. It can be cleaned up or used as it is. It is being sold as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking.
