This auction is for one VINTAGE candle lantern which seems to be made of tin painted black. The open lantern measures 17" tall(including 4" handle) x 6.5" base circumference. There is no glass. Lightweight weighing approx. 2.5 lbs. The paint has chipped off in some areas and the interior base has wax drippings from previous use. The door opens and locks with a turn of the handle. Pilgrim Art Post 1940 #155 Hand Painted Floral Black Matte Rustic Oval Tole Tray
This Pilgrim Art oval toleware tray has the traditional black matte finish. It has a rustic country floral motif of large and small pink. Yellow, and purple flowers with surrounding green leaves and stems. Also, as a finishing touch, there is gold painted rim. Other features of this toleware tray are cut out handles on either end and a raised open work border. On the back of the tray is the light green, stamped company logo shaped like an artist's paint palate. Inside of the palate is written: Hand Painted_Tole_By Pilgrim Art_No. 155 Measurement of the base of the tray(I only measured the longest possible points and widest possible points) Longest Points 15.5" Widest Points 11.5" The border of the tray extends slightly outward so the tray measures a little larger from the rim. Height of the border is 1.25" Note: This vintage ... moretoleware tray has maintained most of its paint and is still in wonderful condition after many years of use. It has a few. Barely visible dings, scratches, and dark areas on the front of the tray that are more visible with the camera than the eye. So, I have tried to take close-ups of these areas, although they make the blemishes seem larger than what they really are. The largest and most visible mark is on the back of the tray.
