The tie backs/brackets are made of some type of metal painted gold as there are a few areas of paint flakes. They measure 17 ½” in length, 4 ¼” in height and the brackets measure 3 ½” in length 4 ¼” in height. Made from solid brass this set includes the point and feather, with the pole being used as the arrow body. Pr. of antique swing arm curtain rods, extendable, cast iron and metal
This pair of old curtain rods have a wonderful south pacific flare with the cast iron adornment of hand painted green leaves and burgundy berries. Each rod has 6 metal rings to attach the curtain and will swing away from the window when mounted. They extend out to approx. 25" from tip of finial to back of rod. The cast iron decoration is approx. 11 1/4" long and 3 3/4" tall at back of rod. Included are four extra pieces which were with the set of curtain rods when I purchased them from an estate sale. I found no visible markings to identify the manufacturer. These curtain rods are in the same antique condition as when I purchased them. The paint is old and rubbed off in many places. I am very pleased to bring you a great pair of heavy cast iron bridal tack hooks that came right from a barn that was built in the late 1800's here in Western Pa. These hooks were specifically designed for tack and heavy tack at that as the bottom hook was molded with a curved wide part as you can put on your bridals. Harnesses and there is a rounded ball in front so it would not get caught and be easy for the on and off. These maesure 8" high in the back with a tri hole configuration and the top hook is 13" long and the bottom is 8 1/2" long with the cast being a wide 1 1/2" I am sorry.looking on here and seeing all these coat hooks is fine but this one is designed for heavy duty use. These were never painted and a lil oil and a wire brush will bring these right back and here is your green tip for the day,if you soak ... morethese in vinegar overnight, the rust will melt off and all you have to do is take a lil steel wool and they will bring back the original smoothness and luster. PLease take a good look as they have no cracks, breaks,or repairs and will serve your family for another 100 years. Love the old stuff! These valances are amazing. They are made of wood and gesso. They have small metal loops under the ledge for your curtains to hook on to. The pieces are meant to be screwed into the wall at the edge hinges and would swing out open to move your curtians in and out away from your window if you choose. Please note that you may have to add additional hardware to your liking to hang them and to hang your curtains) They have a lovely double swag shape ... morewith outrageous barbola roses. Flowers, buds and leaves and a flourish leaf detail at the tip making them the ultimate window curtain adornment. The flowers on this are incredible. They are the nicest that I have ever seen. They are very high in relief and not the usual flatter style that you see. The gilded flowers and leaves are stunning with shades of green. Golds and red that have softened beautifully with age.
