This is a real work horse of a hutch! Dating from the 1930's-1940's. This 2-piece roomy, glass front hutch has 3 top shelves and 2 bottom and 2 drawers. Today for your consideration is a very sweet antique clock. I bought this many yrs. ago& it had gold paint on it. I always loved the lines of the clock& style& I was collecting Victorian items back then but then I fell in love with Shabby Cottage Chic. So it sat around in a box for a few yrs. one weekend when my oldest grand daughter was over for a visit I dug it out& said lets paint this a bright flat white& go that shabby cottage ... morelook! We had a blast& we got more spilt then we did on the clock. Please see the cord as it has white paint drips here& there: Anyway. It is a good sturdy heavy metal clock. The face is paper& has sweet pinks& blues flowers& gold numbers. Beautiful chic designs. Clock works but does make a little humming like sound. I am pretty sure it is a 1940's clock but could be earlier with a re-wire. I can find no makers mark but looks very French to me. Chippy white paint. Painted about 10 yrs. ago. This country chic little stool is in sturdy usable shape and I was told several times from the farm that I bought it from that"it's over 100 years old! It measures 15" tall and is 11" wide at the seat and the legs are 10 ¼" apart on the bottom. It is coated with beige chipped paint and the most wear is at the corner legs that you can see in the photos. It has rubber feet that have been painted over as well. shabby CHIPPY vintage chic white PAINTED wicker barbola PLANT floor/funeral STAND Greater Chicagoland-area local pick up/delivery only(Saint Charles. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) UP FOR AUCTION: A gorgeous. Chippy, old, painted white/cream wicker floor-height plant stand. It's such a sweet, simply elegant piece: flat wicker reed forms the basket and base, with round wicker reed around the stand and trim, with garlands and swags of gesso roses, other flowers and foliage around the plant bowl. I'd describe the paint color as more of a cream than a bright white. It's unmarked as to maker. But I think this is the type of plant stand one sees in old, victorian photographs, particularly at funerals and churches, it's bowl filled with flowers or a fern, perhaps. I'd guess this dates to the early 1900s. The plant stand does show ... moreage- you can see the layers of chipping paint, wear and age to the wicker, and some of the gesso has crumbled away. Still, it has such faded beauty! Such wonderful character and charm, and still superbly useful. CONDITION: Overall. I think it's in good condition for its probable age. I've used it with the plant shown, and it seems entirely sturdy. It has a wood base and round wood base in the plant bowl. It doesn't appear to me that it's intended to be taken apart- so it's one piece. Minor flaws: 1) It's sturdy but at the same time it has sway- some in the post. And some in the bowl(if I apply pressure and try to move same) otherwise, it stays in position and functions fine; 2) For the most part. It's as I acquired it, except that the outermost braid of round wicker at the base was in disrepair- I replaced it(not a flawless job, but I think it looks presentable, and definitely better than it did- I don't think you'd notice it. And, as part of the same repair, I touched up the paint(I tried to minimize the new paint- didn't do the whole thing) and(3) Finally. Obvious asesthetic flaws, signs of age: wear, age to the wicker, crumbled, miss

Vintage B L Marble Company Chippy Shabby White Painted Wood Stool
1930s Vintage Chippy Shabby White Painted Wood Stool. Which can also be used as a side table. Maker: B L Marble Company(known for antique office chairs) Color: A creamy white with a brighter white streaked over. The underside and chippy areas show a layer of dark gray paint under the white. Solid quarter sawn oak with wood pegged construction. Very heavy and solid; over 10 lbs. Approx. measurements: 19" H. Top: 13" x 13" Bottom: 13" x 13" Stool Seat is 1 1/4" thick. Note: As shown in the pictures. This stool sits uneven, but not as noticeable depending on which direction you are looking at it. My guess is that it had been repaired and maybe the legs had been cut at one time.
