4 Wooden Tent Stakes WWII Style 2 Peg 2 Notched 1940s-1950s We're cleaning out Grandpa& Grandma's basement and came across these 4 old wooden tent stakes. Best guess is Grandpa used these in the 1940s or 1950s when they went camping. Not sure where they came from or where the rest of them went! A great addition to someone's nostalgic collection. Standard 4/4 (FULL) VIOLIN with the ESSENTIALS: Black Case, Rosin and Peg Drops
I haven't played the violin since I was 10. needless to say I have NO clue how to play this violin now. Which was a gift to me last year. It really ought to be PLAYED. And WELL, not hanging on a wall somewhere! The quality is fair. not the finest instrument ever made. I don't believe it has a label(brand/ maker) on it at all. What's great are the case, rosin for the bow, and peg drops for tuning. It has everything you need to maintain the instrument. I've loved playing around with it, but I believe a musician- even a beginner- would do it more justice.

The peg box has three perfect curls to either side of the scroll and the double finger carving on the back has a thinly molded edge and center. The outside edge of the front and figured maple back raises up slightly around the inlaid purfling. The overall length is 23 ¾ inches long. The body measures 14 1/8 inches long with a 6 ¼ inch upper bout and 8 inch wide lower bout. There is a very fine hairline at the bottom edge of both f-holes. This is the only physical problem with this finely made antique violin and there is no evidence of any restoration. The finger board measures 10 5/16 of an inch long. There are no makers’ marks on this fine quality Violin. But I guarantee it is a high quality instrument. In the right hands it won’t take long to set it up and be ready play. To make sure eBayer gets a chance to restore this Violin, it has been listed without any reserve. We guarantee it is at least 19th century, but it could be older. They are made of sheep bone or ox bone. We have quite a handful of them and are offering eight of them at auction this week- each one is a one-of-a-kind motif. These teething pegs were carved by British sailors in the second half of the 19th century. They are usually found singly. But sometimes two or three are found strung on old ribbon or string.
