Vintage Cast Iron Sewing Machine Base Legs Industrial Table Stand Steampunk
Farm fresh is this vintage matched pair of antique sewing machine legs. Incuded is the cross bar that connects them at the bottom. They are about 28" tall. 13" across the top, and 16" across the bottom. I see no breaks, cracks, or repairs. There is some rust that should clean up. It has instructions as to how to open and close the table. This table has very unique and rare cast iron hinges that lock into place when the table is open. There is a 36" ruler incorporated on the table. The table measures 40" x 21" and stands a little over 24" high. There appears to be repairs on each corner of the table underneath at the legs. I have attached a photo of one of the corners. I guess that's not unusual for a table that is about 140 years old. The legs are spindle ... morestyle. I'm not sure of the wood- I can't see the grain well because it probably has been refinished. But I believe it is either cherry or maple. This auction is for a neat and unique vintage sewing box. Sewing caddy, stand, cabinet or sometimes called a"work box" from Scotland. It's a neat and cute item. The side are"bowed" with the front& back panels being straight as an arrow. It has a handy and functional shelf. The inside of the body of the box is lined with a fabric as well as an accent piece of the same fabric is attached to the underside of the lid. It could do double duty as a lamp or side table. I have seen lots& lots of sewing stands over the years, but this style is a first for me. It's made out of mahogany& mahogany veneer. I do not know if the feet are original to the unit or if they were added somewhere down the line. The shaped mahogany top is 18 3/8" X 12 3/8" and it's 27 3/4" tall. The body of the box or storage ... morearea is 17 3/4" X 11 1/2" and about 6 3/4" deep. The shelf is 17 1/2" X 11" and is about 6" off the floor. You're looking at a set of rare. Antique Standard Sewing Machine Co. table legs. These cast iron legs are in great condition and are perfect for creating a standard-height(30" table. From the photos you can see that this is a particularly elegant set of legs with a nice. Wide stance. As they currently sit, the legs are 28.5" in height but this can be decreased by approx 2" by loosing bolts on both ends of the leg(see pic#6) In pic#10 you can see a chip in the mount area. This doesn't affect the stability of the table once mounted because there are plenty of other holes that are intact. Otherwise. There don't seem to be any repairs, cracks or chips. This is a beautiful piece of furniture- really nice condition sewing cabinet/end table. This spool cabinet has 2 drawers and a lift top with a remove-able lift out tray that has small and large compartments. Thimble holders, etc. All of the metal brackets are attached to the top as well as all of the interchangeable wood holders and some alternate type of holders also included. This piece measures approximately 27" 13.5" deep and 18" wide. It is in overall good condition, plenty nice to use/display as is, does have normal small nicks, finish wear, etc. for it's age. Vintage Antique White Wicker Expanding Storage Sewing Stand
Here is a vintage white wicker expanding sewing cabinet. Cabinet measures about 17" by 17" and stands about 30 1/2" tall. The cabinet opens up to show 4 storage areas in total. The top one has a lid for opening. The cabinet is in pretty good condition, although there are several areas, as can be seen in the pictures, where the wicker is cracked or damaged. This is a very nice sturdy piece of furniture. At first glance. It appears to be a two drawer table, it it isn't. The top drawer is just that, a drawer. But the second one below, is not a drawer, but it turns out to reveal spindles for the thread spools to rest on. Please examine the pictures. The table has been painted and is now considered a shabby chic piece. It's nicely done and is a fine piece of furniture and very serviceable. I consider the pictures to be part of the listing description, so look closely. Because this is furniture, it will have to be a local pick up.
