Fantastic find from garment factory. Small mobile storage. Basically an 18" cube on wheels. Great industrial green color, heavy"waxed" fiberboard. Incredibly strong and light. Metal edging around open top perimeter. Rivets down side.Signed by maker as shown in pic. This is vintage so definitely shows signs of use. Rolls well! Clean- no grease or industrial residues. These were always used for fabric. I have several so let me know if you need more than one. They make GREAT side tables if you want to repurpose them. Add glass or weathered wood for a top! The A Frame is built of heavy gauge steel and has 2 tubular cross braces with bolting ends. The design is unique and reminiscent of vintage French Industrial design. It’s heavy duty. Makes a statement, and can be customized. And it is new, not old, and we aged it from top to bottom so it looks vintage, but not beat up. A Frame Machine Base Dining Table with Mahogany Benches / Vintage Industrial
This auction is for 1 table and 2 benches as pictured I have a love for the old cast iron bases made from the late 1800s to the 1940s. So I designed and built the A Frame to emulate them. The table base is made out of heavy gauge steel and aged to perfection. It has two connecting rods with large nuts that support and join the bases. The top is made of solid 2" mahogany and is trimmed with a metal riveted edge. The benches are made from the same 2" mahogany and have matching connecting rods. SOTTOF SALES Amazing table with cast iron base that is 31 3/4" High x 48" Diameter x 3 3/4" Thick. 28" from underside of table to floor. The base is a cast iron pedestal from a metal working lathe from 1942. The door on the front opens. The original layers of paint are still there with a different shade showing thru in various spot from many years of use. The cast iron has been cleaned and lightly waxed to bring out its full character. The top is from a retired Patternmakers shop and was turned on a large wood lathe many years ago. It was a blank intended to be shaped into a pattern to make a mold to be poured in metal but was never used. It is built up from many layers of dense plywood with a top layer of fir in a pie wedge design for stability. Holes have been plugged. vintage Howell deco table desk industrial chrome machine age Hoffmann 1930's
Tough to find late 1930's Howell table/ desk designed by Wolfgang Hoffmann. Top measures 36" x 24" and the height is 29" Original metal plating. Screws, end caps and pained wood top. Could be easily modified into a console table with a different longer and more narrow top. Very similar to streamline modern steel furniture designed by Gilbert Rohde for Troy Sunshade, KEM Weber for Lloyd and the furniture sold by Royalchrome and Mckay. Here is a nice Old Vintage UHL TOLEDO Table! Industrial heavy duty construction with wood top! Measures approx 22 1/2"L x 19 1/2"W X 26"H and very heavy! Has a working lever underneath which raises the wheels so the tables weight is on the steel ball feet for stability. When you wish to move the reverse happens by moving the lever. Is in very good condition with no major issues. Scratches. Some rust here and there, mostly around the steel ball feet, but nothing out of the ordinary. Wood surface has some discoloration(see pic) like an outline where something may have rested on it for a long time. This is a very interesting and rare all iron and steel folding industrial table. It is all original and features rod suspension system with rivet head legs which fold down by unscrewing the center wing nut and slipping the rod supports out of the edge sockets. You're looking at a set of rare. Antique Standard Sewing Machine Co. table legs. These cast iron legs are in great condition and are perfect for creating a standard-height(30" table. From the photos you can see that this is a particularly elegant set of legs with a nice. Wide stance. As they currently sit, the legs are 28.5" in height but this can be decreased by approx 2" by loosing bolts on both ends of the leg(see pic#6) In pic#10 you can see a chip in the mount area. VINTAGE CAST IRON & MAPLE INDUSTRIAL- MACHINE AGE-STEAMPUNK TABLE
HELLO BIDDERS- You are bidding on an A RE-PURPOSED 1930'S DEMMING CAST IRON BASE WITH A MAPLE WORK BENCH TOP. This is a beautiful piece of industrial furniture that would make a great desk. Dining table or other table. The base is a Demming cast iron base from the 1930's. The base came from a factory near Chattanooga.TN that made uniforms for business and military. It was an original piece in the building I found it in. The beautiful Maple top I found in an industrial salvage plant in Dalton. GA. The top was from the late 1940's. I pressure washed and removed most of the old paint from the table top and sanded it down to a 180 grit. I then coated the top with three layers of poly sanding in between coats. The green 57 Chevy green paint looks incredible against the distressed Maple wood. The table top side was the bottom and the ... morenon-paint side was the working top side. You can use either side so both are pictured for you to choose. They both look incredible. The table top has scars and metal that I ground down flush with the Maple. I sandblasted the base and polished it down to bare metal and shot it with four coats of lacquer giving it an excellent seal. The wheels have also been polished out and can be used or easily removed. The table top measures 60" x 22" and is apx. 28" tall with the wheels on. A simple peg in the wheel hole will raise it an inch or two if needed. It is an excellent height for a desk or dining table. Here we have a great Machine Age industrial table or typewriter stand. As you can see from the photos there are two fold up leaves on either end. The table also has a foot pedal which lowers or raises 4 stoppers to prevent the table from rolling. The foot pedal is a little sticky and just needs some oil. Which I will most likely do as soon as I finish this listing. 3 of the 4 rubber stoppers are missing but you should be able to find replacements online or at a hardware store. The table has great color and looks to have been repainted black some time ago. The back paint is some what worn off in places showing the grey or silvery paint that was under it. Huge vintage industrial table cast iron machine legs salvaged bowling alley lane
You are considering a 6' vintage industrial dining table or workbench constructed by combining iron machine legs and a section of salvaged pine bowling alley lane wrapped in metal. The table is very. Very heavy mostly from the weight of the curved iron machine legs. The legs are bolted on steel plates at the corners, and can be removed. The legs have been power washed to reveal a few layers of paint mostly gray and green. Then they were sealed with several coats of Poly. The pine butcher block table top is from a bowling alley that I salvaged. I removed most of the original surface, but stopped short of taking away the character of an industrial project. The table top was stained gray. It did not take in all areas of the surface which was my plan. The pictures were taken in bright sun so the gray looks washed out. It is darker in person. ... moreI will try to add additional pictures. The wood grain shows through and is awesome. It was wrapped with a steel band to finish the edge, and the all was sealed with several coats of Poly. Picture#7 shows a large chip off of the top of the industrial leg.
