Smaller Pre WW11 Trunk With Shelf Intact And Key Rare & Hard To Find
Very very few of these survived with the top shelf intact. This is the only one I have ever seen with the key. To have both of these at once is just an incredible find.This trunk is 21 inches high by 16 inches wide by 29 inches long. The interior shelf is not shown. For some reason the picture of it did not come out, it is the normal standard shelf you see every once in a while in a steamer trunk. It is gorgeous the way it is but could easily be restored with a little varnish and paint since it is all intact. It will ship just like it sets unless you decide you want it boxed up, if it would survive in the hold of a ship it should survive UPS in the same way. Authentic, Vintage LOUIS VUITTON Steamer Trunk Hard Sided Luggage Circa 1910
Original Louis Vuitton Monogramed Steamer Trunk circa 1910-1920" This highly detailed Vuitton Trunk is an amazing survivor. Its extensive brass fittings(including the brass rivets) bear the"LV" stamp as does the leather trim work. The brass locking clasp is marked with"70 CHAMPS ELYSEES PARIS LOUIS VUITTON LONDON 149 NEW BOND STREET MADE IN FRANCE" The inside of the lid is marked with the number 737608 in black ink. Its condition strikes us as quite amazing. And the characteristic imprinted fabric is in splendid condition. The two leather strap handles at either end of the trunk are not in place, but one handle survives in part and is included in this auction. The interior tray is missing, although the handsome monogramed fabric covered interior of the top is in beautiful shape. Labels and ID number are intact and ... moreappear where they should be. The tip of the encircling leather strap is missing several inches at the connecting end though the receiving end is intact. There is no key but these are easily purchased. For Your Consideration. Vintage Goyard Aine Black Trunk. Vintage Condition. Lots of Marks and scratches but no structural damage. Latches Work well. Lock will close but does not lock. No Key. There is also a little flap that covers the key hole. Latches and Locks are marked"Goyard Aine" small metal tag on each end reads" Malles Goyard" with Logo and address. Size is 31 1/2" x 16" x 8 1/2" Inside is Light Orange color. The handle is there but the side leather attachment is torn. See Image) has glue but does not hold. Beautiful Louis Vuitton Monogram Trunk Fantastic vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Very nice case in monogram canvas. The brass hardware is all intact and very strong. The original key is included! Very rare to have the key along with the case! The trunk does have some wear throughout but overall is in wonderful vintage condition. The canvas shows wear mostly on the sides and a bit on the top of the case. The rivets all say Louis Vuitton. Corners on top were painted with yellow. Along with initials G.C.C. on each end. Authentic Antique Louis Vuitton Trunk Beautiful vintage trunk. In monogram canvas. All hardware appears to be original. Initials G. V. P. Are painted on each side. The key also included included! The monogram is is good condition for a vintage trunk except from the wear that is pictured. Does show some marks from use as you can see in the photos. The brass shows some signs of wear such as tarnish. Rubbing and a few dents. The interior is in nice shape. The lid stays up by itself. The interior tray is very rare to have intact with the divider. The straps to the tray are all in place and free of tears snags. The serial number reads 805705. The monogram painting was done by Louis Vuitton and reads T.P.W.
