Vintage Cast Iron Pedestal Tripod Tilt Top Base Industrial - Excellent Condition
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage cast iron tripod tilting pedestal table base. The cast iron base was in remarkably good condition considering it's age and as best I can tell still has the original finish. Usually these are totally rusted out and the paint missing. A good wash revealed a nice green patina. There is no maker mark or manufacturer name on it. But it has to be old as they haven't made anything like this in years with a cast iron base. When fully extended it is about 40" or so inches tall. The 3 tripod legs are also about 2 feet apart all the way around to give you an idea of size. I am including the 2 metal table top edges that you can put on a future top should you choose. That was the style when this was made. And it is a very nice look. Offered is a vintage cast iron adjustable drafting table pedestal base/ stand. Its in very good condition. Appearing that the previous owner'refinished' all the metal and ended with a gloss black paint. It appears the nuts, bolts and screws are newer(I took the liberty of painting most of them black) The table adjusts from 33" to 44" in height as shown. The large cross supports at the top measure 21" each. The distance between the feet is 24" The swivel and angle adjustments work fine. The table will be dismantled for shipping to avoid charges for oversize package.

Offered as a'buy it now is this antique cast iron base. The base fits in a 21" square box. The height is 26" There is as piece missing from thetop plate. Another hole has been drilled adjacent to the damaged area. This was done when the table was disassembled for packing.There are no other damages and there have been no additional repairs. The top plate and column have been zip tied to the base. The nut& rod are packed inside the column. The box is pictured packed but without the additional top layers of Styrofoam.
