This table has been brought into the restoration shop where it was refinished in a dark oak stain finish with multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer applied. The table is 48 inches round and 29 inches high. The three leaves are 11 inches wide. There is space for an additional leaf if desired. When the three leaves are inserted, the table becomes 82 inches long. It is a beautiful table that has a locking two-piece pedestal base, hairy claw foot and retains the castors. Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid mahogany Victorian age ball and claw carved cabriole leg carved one drawer library table that ... moredates from the 1890s. It came in with some surface scratches on the solid top which we have sanded out, stained and re-sprayed it so that it is all ready to go into the home or office scratch free. It is in the dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish that is really nice. It has notch carved molding all the way around the skirt. The brass hardware is intact on the dove tail drawer. It has a round corner top that is solid mahogany, carved cabriole legs, carved elbows and a bottom shelf support. The table is 42 inches wide, 26 inches deep and 29 inches tall. It has a great look. Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. Hence the ink all over it. Then it was a lamp table until now. All the wood is tight. There are no loose wood parts. Approximate measurements: 26 inch diamter. 28 inches tall The current finish predates the print shop. As it is under all the ink spots. A lovely round Federal style table with a pie-crust top(scalloped on the inner and outer edge of the table top) Mahogany or Rosewood is in wonderful condition. Not sure which wood it is made from. But based on the weight I believe it is mahogany. If it were rosewood it would be even heavier. This one was part of the estate sale from a family that was cleaning out their 3rd generation 103 year old farmhouse. No idea who the actual maker is; is this a Duncan Phyfe original? I don't know; I understand that only a very few original Phyfe pieces(out of the many made) were actually marked. If anyone looking can give me more clues as to whether this piece IS an original Phyfe please do so and I will re-list with an appropriately higher price: Just kidding. Even if it wasn't made by Mr. Phyfe it is still a very old and beautiful solid wood ... moretable. If you can even find a table made from all solid real wood in the stores nowadays you will definitely be looking at a few hundred dollars, minimum. Look closely at the pictures. And note the metal pieces on the underside(pictures#6& 7) that were used in attaching the tripod legs to the spindle. Also take a peek at the screw heads on the underside of the table top(picture#5) this is a pretty good indicator of the age on this piece. The top can be removed from the base by unscrewing in a counterclockwise direction. The base is a tripod(three legs) The foot of each leg has a vintage brass claw cap. I have a very old 1800's to early 1900's Antique Cast Iron Table/ Plant Stand with Claw Feet. This stand is approximately 26 inches tall and 11 inches round. Put a piece of round plate glass to make a table or a plant stand. There is a crack in the top ring. But this stand is made so heavy that the crack is almost unnoticeable. I found these table parts under a bed in a house we bought. The bottom shelf would attach with screws from underneath screwed into the legs and then attach into a slot on the underside of the top. It has a scalloped or serpentine edge and legs with eagle talons wrapped around 1 1/4" diameter glass balls for feet. The balls are very secure& a few are worn on the bottom from use. The top is about 24" square. The lower shelf is about 16" square and the legs are 29" long. There are no marks indicating a manufacturer. Age, or anything. Feel free to email me with any questions. This is a wonderful early claw foot side table by Imperial Furniture Company that I picked up from a Connecticut estate. It has a very nice look that would compliment many interiors. It is marked with the Imperial badge. A sticker that once read"Made In Grand Rapids" and two numbers: 2022& 55. Measurements: 25" length x 17.25" wide x 18" tall Condition: Structurally it is solid and very well built. With age comes some issues though: All that I mention here can be seen in the photos) There is some wear to the finish. Specifically around the edges. There are a few scratches on the table top- A claw foot is missing on one leg- In the 3rd to last photo you'll see some cracks. Antique Vintage Imperial Mahogony Side Table Carving Claw Foot Grand Rapids
This table is in fine vintage condition. It is an excellent example of the tables turned out by the Imperial Furniture Company that operated in Grand Rapids. MI from 1903-1954. The company was founded by Stuart Foote in 1903 who learned the art of furniture-making by working at his father's business, The Grand Rapids Chair Company. Imperial Furniture Company's primary business was tables. See link below) This table has the Imperial sticker and a made in Grand Rapids sticker. As best I can tell. The sticker seems to indicated that this side table was made in either 1954 or 1939 based on the appearance of the sticker. The table is structurally very sound and well built, no loose parts, which is amazing for a table of this age. The top of the table does show wear and watermarks and someone may want to refinish it, but is perfectly usable ... moreas is. There are four pedestal legs, each of which ends in a meal claw. The base of the table shows ornate carving that appears to be a leaf or fern frond. Top is a square shape with an apron and routed edges. Stands about 26 inches high and is about 18 inches square. This table does not disassemble for shipping. Local pickup is probably best but I will help with shipping in any way that I can. I just sold a Danish Modern Dresser to a gal in Chicago and she used Pac Mail 425-803-0627 of Bellevue. They came to my house and got the dresser and packed it up. I used it in a kitchen nook with a window seat before I changed decor. The table is 45" diameter. I have no idea how old it is but there is a sign on the bottom that says_Co. Montoursville, PA. I can't read the first part of the sign clearly. It is in good antique condition with a couple of bumps that could be retouched. See the next to last photo and look toward the center. The other bump did not show up in my pictures. It has a couple of injured paws as shown in 4 and 7 and the locking mechanism underneath may need another part to help it close. I do not have the leaf.
