These cast iron adjustable table legs date late 1800s. They are embossed CHANDLER THE BOSTON. E2; DESIGN PAT.JUNE29.97.PAT. JUNE 9.1896.NOV.14'98. The legs measure each 12" across the bottom. 8 X 3 1/2" at the top; from 16 1/4" tall in the lowest to 23" in the highest position. Condition of these legs is very good. No breaks.

Antique Machine Age Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Coffee Table Base Steampunk
Here we have a great antique cast iron base with hand cranks on each side that turn a gear. The gear comes out a little bit above to top of the table base I imagine it would make for a cool adjustable drafting style coffee table. As you can see from the photos these legs are a bit top heavy. I put a small piece of cardboard to hold the two legs together and they stood up fine no problem so I don't think there would be any issue once a top is crafted for them. The bottom of the legs can also be mounted so this could either be mounted to the floor or even on top of a taller table to craft or even the wall. These legs stand about 18 inches tall not counting the gears and cranks.

The base is a cast iron pedestal from a metal working lathe from 1942. The door on the front opens. The original layers of paint are still there with a different shade showing thru in various spot from many years of use. The cast iron has been cleaned and lightly waxed to bring out its full character. The top is from a retired Patternmakers shop and was turned on a large wood lathe many years ago. It was a blank intended to be shaped into a pattern to make a mold to be poured in metal but was never used. It is built up from many layers of dense plywood with a top layer of fir in a pie wedge design for stability. Holes have been plugged. Antique Dietzgen Drafting Table University of Illinois Cast Iron Oak Original
Very Large and all original antique Dietzen(king of drafting tables) drafting or architect table- cast iron still has original paint from the early 1900's. this has a very old university of illinois inventory stencil on it with a 4 digit serial number. the solid oak wood on the base is in amazing shape with no cracks or bad spots. the original top with all original hardware is birds eye maple with a few ink spots but no bad spots that need refinishing. I have not tried to clean this at all. a refinisher told me simple rubbing alcohol will take the ink off, i got this for my kid but it is way to large for his room with the top measuring 3 by 5 foot. it stands 42 inches tall and can be adjusted down with the turn of a wheel to 33 inches. it can also swivel to an almost vertical position for painting or art projects or storing somewhere ... morewhen not in use. i will definitely allow local pick up but i will ship, it will be the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. it is quite large and im sure usps or ups will not take it-i saw where greyhound bus lines does shipping but you have to pick it up at one of their terminals for a couple hundred bucks or uship is a great service and could probably be arranged for a couple hundred dollars. im very easy to work with and will make this as effortless as possible for the buyer. if shipped i will wrap with bubble wrap and blankets for the shipment. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee of dollar a mile. very cool steampunk antique item that will hold its value and most likely increase over time. you will likely not find one of these especially in this great shape that has not been refinished. being all original and this great i think the value of this with being from the university of illinois and from the early 1900's i think the value of this is triple the starting amount.good luck bidding and ask any questions. thank you.

Up for sale is this beautiful antique industrial railroad factory cart with heavy duty cast iron wheels and hardware. This cart has be completely restored- great decor and very functional repurposed as a coffee table. It measures 48" long(53" to metal) by 25 1/2" wide and 15" tall. The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. The cast iron wheels and hardware were pressure washed then painted with two coats of rustoleum black. Ask if you have any questions and thank you for looking. Cool. Old store display table. This is a tri-legged rolling and height adjustable table appears to date from the early 1900's. Adjusts from 2 feet 3 inches at its lowest to 3 feet 5 1/4 inches at its highest. The table top(19 3/4" long x 12 5/8" wide) is all wood with the frame in a black crackled enamel and a bare pine inset that has been sealed in wax. Metal casters and bearings with smooth operation. I have a very old 1800's to early 1900's Antique Cast Iron Table/ Plant Stand with Claw Feet. This stand is approximately 26 inches tall and 11 inches round. Put a piece of round plate glass to make a table or a plant stand. There is a crack in the top ring. But this stand is made so heavy that the crack is almost unnoticeable. The crack will not deter for the integrity of the stand in any way. Look at the pictures and e-mail questions. I only ship to the lower 48. Drafting Table- Vintage/ Antque 34.5" high. Adjustable to about 37" high- 24.5" wide Cast iron base is 18.75" wide and 11.5" high. I've had it since 1975, and I have no idea how old it is. It had no top when I got it. The wood is oak and the base and hardware is cast iron. I have the steel clips to attach the top. At some point there was another circular support bar, on the far side. The table base is in original condition with no breaks to the legs or decorative connecting piece. The stools swivel as they should and are in good working condition. The unit is complete and undamaged, with no broken or missing cast iron pieces. The pine top measures approximately 5 feet across, 39 inches at the widest point and 1 inch thick. The top is solid and undamaged with some ink stains, tape adhesive and pin holes generated over years of use. The table adjustments are original, complete and work properly. Antique Mechanical Age Vintage Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table. I bought this drafting table from a individual who inheriated it from his grandfather who intern recieved it from a dayton Ohio firm when he retired in the early 60's so the story goes. The drafting table does not show any lableing regarding the manufacture but it is clearly an antique. The diminsions: Table Top 60" Long x 36" Wide x 1" Thick. When cranked all the way down with the table top flat it sit approximately 35" above the floor. When cranked all the way up with the table top flat it sit approximately 47" above the floor. To raise and lower the drafting you release the pressure by turning a spicket type handle see picture number 9. Then you turn the wheel see picture 9 and then 11 for close up. Once you have the drafting table at the desired ... moreheight you turn the spicket clockwise to apply pressure to the mechanism to secure the desired height. The drafting table angles approximately 80 degrees in both directions. Again you use a spicket type handel see picture 10 turning counterclockwise which releases the pressure on the drafting table top mechinism then you push or lift the drafting table top to the angle you want and then you turn the spicket handle clockwise to to apply pressure to secure the angle of the drafting table top. Antique Typewriter Table Rolling Stand Karlo Steampunk Industrial Base This antique typewriter stand is in perfect working order! Goes up and down very easily by turning the wheel and is heavy. Very sturdy and quite solid! You can actually spin the wheel with one finger! Great item for repurposing! The base is heavy so it supports the top when raised to the highest position with ease. No danger of tipping over. After doing some research online. I identified this as a Karlo stand by some others online and the fact that it is identical to others for sale and sold and this one has some remnants of the Karlo tag in the place that it should and the colors are visible. The wheels roll with ease. The wheel and the knob that tightens to hold the height adjustment in place all work perfectly and with no hard turning. The wood table top appears to ... morebe quite old and does have some small damage to an edge or two. You can see underneath where dirty fingerprints have touched the edge of the top or perhaps turned it. Maybe from the ink of the typewriter ribbon? There is some green paint that I have not attempted to remove on the top. This stand weighs 37 lbs and measures 25¼' at the low height shown and 38' at the tall height shown. Vintage Industrial Green Cast Iron Legs Work Table Bench Entertainment Center
This vintage industrial table is heavy duty and versatile. It has attractive green painted cast iron legs with tension cross supports in the back. The wood surfaces are maple with a shellac finish- there is definitely some nice grain figure in the wood. The tabletop measures 72"L x 30" W and it's 3" thick. The tabletop stands at a height of 34 1/4" and the lower shelf stands at 10 1/4" T. The bottom shelf dimensions are 58" L x 16" W and it is 1 1/4" thick. Antique Dietzgen Cast Iron Double Pedestal Drafting Table Base
For sale is this great Antique Dietzgen Cast Iron Double Pedestal Drafting Table Base. These don't come around to often. There are two small cracks in the bracket that would hold the top on. But this piece is still very stable. The table tilts and raises by turning the large wheel. The height at the top of the bracket without the top goes from 32" to 46" The leg span is 51 1/4" wide and 24 1/2" deep. ANTIQUE DIETZGEN CAST IRON DRAFTING TABLE INDUSTRIAL AGE STEAMPUNK
A rare Dietzgen drafting table with a cast iron base. Our research shows it is a very early version cast only with a 213 at the base of center posts. The table is height adjustable by turning the crank and tilts by loosing a handle. The treads are not SAE/USS standard which was established in 1906 and based on this. The table is probably dated from this period. This drafting table was found sitting upside down in the loft of my friends old junkyard near Detroit. I went back later and dug up and old drafting light which is included- last picture. The light works but it needs a part on the receptacle end and there is no shroud. But at one time it apparently was mounted on the middle top of the board judging by screw holes. The light does post-date the drafting board though. The 3 foot by 6 foot table top has a lot of patina its 100+ years. ... moreWe decided to leave this original top alone except for a few minor touch-ups with varnish. At some time in the past it had several coats of varnish applied to the table top. The top at three feet wide is narrower than most later tops so its convenient to use as an kitchen island or modern living room. The table has one odd aspect. There is a section of the vertical motion range where the board has to be tilted upright otherwise the curved track ear interferes with the cross shaft of the gear mechanism. A few items were repaired; one thread on a through rod at the base. The crank handle was replaced with a very similar later crank from a vintage milling machine, however the original crank is included. The bottom tubes where people rested their feet were straightened. There is still one tube in the middle that is slightly bent. The cast iron base was repainted in semi-gloss black based on some sections of the original paint. The base and the bottom of the table were painted black many years ago and some of this repaint had chipped off so we decided to go ahead and paint the cast iron base and any iron parts on the table top. Of early 1900 vintage. Industrial work table with wooden top and green painted cast iron legs, marked 17Z35. Recovered from an old factory located in Ligonier, Indiana. The heavy Rock Maple slab top is constructed using bolted angle irons. The table is in very good vintage condition with a few minor issues: One of the legs has a heavy weld showing and also has broken tab at the foot. The top has minor checking and a visible crack is present by one of the corners. However it is still held together tightly, thanks to the bolted angle iron construction technique. Antique Fancy Industrial Cast Iron Table/Work Bench Legs
This is an interesting pair of antique industrial cast iron work table or bench legs circa 1900. They were found with the original wooden connector bar. It is hardwood and has years of wear from feet resting on it.On the back of each leg there is a specially cast socket for the connector with a hole for screwing. To re-purpose these legs you could use or not use the connector or make a longer one to suit your concept.Each leg has an upwards curving cast iron support that is perpendicular to the leg and would add support towards the middle of your table top.Each leg measures approx. 22 7/8" high. The width at the bottom is approx. 19" The width at the top is 15 3/4" On the inside one leg is marked L for left and the other is marked R for right. Antique Cast Iron Cherub Lamp Side Table
Rare. Hard to find, lamp or side table waiting for a beveled glass, marble, onyx or granite top. It stands 26" high and 18" in diameter. It will hold a larger top. It has a minor manufacturers defect as shown in the last picture on the Cherub. It is put together with 6 screws, 3 at the top, and 3 at the shelf. The original wood top has wear with some splinting. The wood top could be replaced is desired. The base has two levers that let you adjust the spring tension and height of the stool. Rare Industrial Era Cast Iron & Porcelain Top Deming Drafting Table.

This table came from a building near Knoxville that was built in the 1930's by The American Uniform Co. The building is now an electric motor repair co. but the owner told me this table was left by the original owner from the uniform co. It was used as an ironing table at the factory in the 1930's-1950's. The base is cast iron with a very cool name badge on either side that matches the name of the top of the desk.
