Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. The aging and burnish process takes a 5 step process and can be hazardous to perform. The aging/burnishing is done at essentially cost. See our ad for Aging Solution. Antique Sectional Barrister's Bookcase 3 Shelf Oak Complete
This oak bookshelf is in good condition with some dings and scratches from years of use. The unit is five pieces consisting of base. Three shelves and top. At some point, the back panels were replaced, so I do not know the manufacturer. Outside dimensions are 50 1/2 inches high 34 1/4 inches wide. The top two shelves can handle books 10 inches deep and 11 inches high. The bottom unit can handle books 10 inches deep and 13 inches high. And some touch-up to finish. This has NOT been refinished or ruined! in any way! 34 x 30 x 61.5 inches Consists of 6 pieces: Top. Base, and 4 Bookcase sections with Doors. A good. What I believe is a GLOBE WERNICKE 4 sectional Oak stacking BARRISTER BOOKCASE. In fair CONDITION. I received this note from a viewer: This is an early stack of the Globe Wernicke Company as evidenced by the locking tab on the top.The style of side bands, the early non recessed sides on the top itself. And the closure mechanism. So it IS a GLOBE WERNICKE not a possible one. It is also in the D series line. Most likely a 198 series. I purchased it in 1995 and used it to safely house my rare book collection for almost 20 years. I believe it was refinished before I purchased it. Not the best job done… the refinisher got some glue on the glass of one of the 10” and the 14” unit. I believe it could be razor bladed off. but it never bothered me for what i was using it for. Ideal if you already have one of these bookcase. And want to add ... moremore units. I have seen individual units like these on eBay for $100-150. so, this is a bargin. I am moving and need to find it a good home. But I can always store it until I find the right price. Comes easily apart for a total of 5 pieces. Exterior. 34" wide. 11” deep. 50.75” tall Inside 32” wide. 9.5” depth 2 at 8.25" inside height units with working glass cover. I have up for sale a very nice vintage original circa early 1900s Globe-Wernicke Sectional Bookcase. This is an original matching unit- all sections are Globe-Wernicke 298-1/2. The lower section is a number 112 D 12-1/4" The middle a 110 D 10-1/4" and the upper a 108 D 8-1/2" These are all standard sized sections which are most desired as the more narrow sections have far less room. The bookcase stands approx 47" tall. 34" wide, and approx 12-1/2" at the base. It weighs roughly 75 lbs as it sits. It is in very good original condition- some minor age and use wear but overall a nice example. It is not perfect- there are a few areas of minor wear and such. This bookcase was made from two bookcases the base and bottom section are Globe the top two sections and top are Weis. Really nice piece Needs refinished 11 inches deep 34 1/2 wide 48 3/8 tall whith the glass shut Top piece the finish is flaking off dry. dont know if someone tryed to redo it or not. There is a stamp in the middle piece indide back that says Gunn Sectional Bookcase Gunn furniture as well as a piece on the back that looks like there was added finish to keep it on. The bottom shelf is missing it's glass other than that all is there. I kept my dvds on the bottom shelf and it made much easier to take them out if glass wasn't there. Later when moving the glass was broke. All other pieces are in tack and original to my knowledge. I say that because it's the old style wavy glass. So most likely original. Also most of the red GRM triangular logo located on the back is there. See pics for details. This logo represented the Furniture Manufacturer’s Association of Grand Rapids and was only used from 1899 to 1913 Gunn stacking bookcases were distinguished by the lack of external side bands.
