Good ... moreused condition. I will describe condition as best as possible and have taken many pictures which show every side of item. PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original to desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. There are some scratches and dings to wood as can be seen in photos. One rear leg had slight exposure to dampness at one time and has a little swelling. Which could be sanded and finished but I am leaving item in condition as acquired. Dovetailed drawer has had nails added on both sides for added strength at some point. Buyer will be responsible for making shipping arrangements. Which can include pickup in the Kalamazoo- Grand Rapids, Michigan area or I can work with you to make arrangements with a shipping company of your choosing and which buyer will pay for. This is an antique Stickley era Mission style Arts& Crafts quarter sawn solid oak coffee table dating to the early 1900's. It appears to have originally been a library table that was cut down to be a coffee table. It measures 42-3/4" wide. 25-1/2" deep and stands 18" tall. It has bronze pulls on the drawer and the drawer is dovetailed. There are scratches and wear consistent with age and gentle use, and some minor blemishes. There are oak buttons that cover connection points and 10 are missing. I have not had a chance to replace them, but do have a bag of new oak buttons that will be included with the table. This has all the attributes of a true hand made craftsman Arts and Crafts piece of furniture. There are no labels or marks that we could find on this table. Details: Use of quartersawn oak(see photos of table top) Keyed-through tenons on both sides of table and pegged joinery. The tiles on the top look very much like Rookwood- however. here is an antique trestle table from the early 1900s in the Mission Arts& Crafts period style in great condition. The piece is made of solid oak with a good old finish but we do not believe it is the original finish. The table is made of very thick and solid wood. The piece has great appeal and could be used in many different rooms and for many different purposes. the party we acquired it from were using the shelf in a different room. there is an old repair to one leg being pointed out in the last photos as is a separation in the top also. this table measures 42" long x 28 1/2" inches deep and 30 1/4" inches tall and with the top on it. ORIGINAL 1906-1912 ANTIQUE L & JG STICKLEY MISSION OAK TABOURET - ORIG. FINISH
This auction is for an Original 1906-1912 Quarter Sawn Oak L& JG Stickley Tabouret. It has its original finish. Original Work of L& JG label on arched stretcher. Base has some nicks. Mostly to edge of legs. A couple scratches and stains to top. Octagonal top has through posts or tenons. Stretcher is pinned. It has a nice dark brown with reddish color. It measures approx. 17" high by 15" across top. Spline joint on end may look a little open at bottom on side view but this joint is tight& strong. Small dot seen in pictures on bottom of top appears to be original old hyde glue. Small amount of checking(slightly open cracks) to one leg(see picture) Again finish looks original to me and I have restored woodwork for over 30 years. Stickley Era Antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts Tabouret Table Stand Cut Outs Description. For your consideration is a: Stickley Era Antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts Tabouret Table Stand Cut Outs. This Period Arts& Crafts Stand Has its original Finish and a very unusual cut out design on all 4 of its canted sides. The construction is solid and is very unusual with dado joints on two of the sides of the base for the other sides of the base to fit into. The top also is attached in an unusual fashion in order to prevent cracking as the wood shrinks across the grain over time. There is a piece of wood on the inside of the base which is larger than the opening at the top and has sides angled to match the canted sides of the base. This wood piece is attached to the underside of the top with screws which pulls the top of the stand to the ... morebase(just a note to lift the stand by the base and not the top so you don't put undo stress on the top. I have added rubber washers to the screws th at attach the wood block in the base to the underside of the top in order to take up some space from wood shrinkage since I did not want to over tighten the screws and crack the top or worse screw through the top. And the fix works well. There is a label under the t op with the number 52 and also also also some letters marked underneath the top which I wasn't able to make out. This stand is unlike any other that I have encountered and I am sure it will make a great addition to your Stickley. I am so pleased to be offering for sale this handsome Gustav Stickley Mission Oak telephone aka phone stand aka table. 605. This piece is sure to appeal to collectors, as it appears to be a survivor, overall appealing with a few issues over its lifetime. It is signed/branded on the underside, as shown. The phone stand is 30" high by 14" square top over 14" square lower shelf. I would say that the piece is in nice, good"condition considering the fact that it is over 100 years old. It presents well but is far from perfect. That being said, as you can see from the detailed photos, the piece does have some water marks as it appears to have been used as a plant stand at some point in time. This remains a beautiful example of Arts& Crafts design at its best. Don't miss this chance to purchase this highly collectible ... morepiece to accent the decor of your home or office. I see these original pieces listed for several thousand dollars. Some dude has a chair for 8k on ebay.crazy. Show me a realistic bid and keep in mind, I paid something for it too and I will most likely sell it. It has a lot of wear, someone may have used a wax on the top and the legs to remove some water stains. The wax or cleaning cream has gotten in the grooves which is not great for the piece. I am realistic. It's not a home run piece. If you are looking to own a piece of history at a reasonable price, this is it. Unusual early 1900s vintage mission oak cafe table desk Limbert Stickley Era
Unusual antique Mission Oak piece from the very early 1900's. I have never seen another like it but would describe it as a cafe or breakfast table. Possibly a desk. Measures 30" tall. 34-1/8" long, and 21-3/8" deep. It is unsigned and I do not know the maker. Great Arts& Crafts Period form with the cutout decoration on the front as well as the keyed tenon construction. All solid quarter sawn oak with excellent tiger stripe grain. Original finish although it is fairly worn on the top surface which also has scratches. Very sturdy and a nice size to fit most anywhere.
