VTG MID CENTURY HAIRPIN IRON LEG DESK AND CHAIR
Mid Century Hairpin Iron legs Desk And Chair On offer is a one of a kind in this condition for offer. There was brown shelf paper on the desk and when I peeled it off I discovered a desk that doesn't even have one mark or scratch on it.The top is formica. The sides of the desk and on the drawer the wood is curved. The wood has some scuffing. The hairpin legs are curved on top- the same as the chair back seat. Curved iron with hairpin legs. The iron looks to be a gold or a bronze. Very hard to tell. All original. Even the seat. I cannot make out what the tag says on the bottom of the chair. I will dismantle the table and the chair for a safer ship and wrap each piece with bubble wrap. The desk is 36" long- 29" tall and 16' wide. The chair's back is 30" tall from the floor and the seat is 13" round. I did glue the label down as it was close to coming off and I did not want to pay the" penalty of law" stool is 18" tall, 18" across. legs are held on with 4 screws, easily removed if you would like to repaint the legs. 4 feet are original and in good condition. there is a small rip in the side[ see picture#5] about 3/4" long, could be easily repaired. a great addition to any collection. thanks for looking, Joe I will do my best to work with you on the shipping of this item. This was an incredible Estate Sale find! This is an early Mid Century stool is all original and in fabulous condition. The vinyl is beige/light tan with black trim and is not faded. There are no scratches. Tears, pokes or scrapes on the vinyl. The hairpin legs have a brass ringlet. There are a few scuffs on the legs but not noticeable at all. It would be difficult to find another stool of this age in this condition. The stool stands about 18" tall and has a diameter of 18" The original tag states the stool was made by Merit Manufacturing in Jamaica, NY. The stool was patented in 1929 and is#150, contents are: excelsior 80% cotton felt 10% shredded latex 10% and foam rubber 10% If you have questions, please ask. I believe this was manufactured piece, although no makers tag or marking found, not a home craft/hobby build, but at some point it was reupholstered by a novice in the current rust orange tone vinyl. I consider this a re-upholstery piece, as the upholstery has imperfections such as spots, scrapes, and a few small tears and home repairs and you will want new foam cushions too because of age. Vintage hairpin leg table and 3 chairs
Here is a terrific 1950's table and 3 chairs made by Lincoln Industries of Damascus Virginia. The table. Which measures 48 x 32 without the leaf, stands 31" tall. The hairpin legs are in good solid condition and all the glides are in place. The blonde, woodgrain, formica top has one small chip(see pic) Otherwise, it is excellent. The 12" leaf extends the table to 5 feet. Table is very solid. This is not a flimsy, lightweight piece. The chairs have"wings" of wrought iron scrollwork that match the table. The chairs are solid but each has some flaws in the vinyl(see pics) Shipping is high estimate via Greyhound. Table will be shipped flat with legs removed. Vintage METAL HAIRPIN TABLE STAND with WOVEN TOP Exactly what this table stand is used for or what it originally looked like is a mystery to me. It has a woven tabletop on the second tier and not sure if at one time there was the same type of tabletop on the first tier… But anyways…it has classic hairpin metal legs attached to two tiers.as you can see the bottom tier has a woven tabletop from macramé material in cream and rose pink colors. The macramé top is square shaped and permanently attached to all sides.and is not removable… The top tier is also square but the front dips down about 2”maybe there was a woven top attached at one time? 50's vintage steel hairpin leg side desk / sofa table. Modern minimalist design.
C. 1959. Solid wood, 1 drawer, side desk or sofa table that stands on four, 28 inch tall, steel hairpin legs. The desk top measures 18 by 36 inches. It has one drawer underneath. This piece is in what looks like refinished, but good, solid condition. The legs are nice with no rust, bends or broken welds. I am guessing that this started out as a simple veneered side table that someone removed the, maybe, blistered veneer from, and added a drawer underneath. The drawer slides look like scrap oak and pine. It would still make a funky retro computer desk as is. The top is sealed and smoothly finished. Re-veneer it if you want or paint the wood flamingo pink for a super-50's throwback look. This weighs 30 pounds boxed up. Use the calculator to figure UPS shipping to your zip code. This is a nice pair of sturdy Vintage Hairpin Leg Plant Stands that have weathered the storm and still standing upright and ready to go. 15" high. Bottom of plant would sit at 12" 11" diameter for plant. I like the rail around it to keep plants safely inside. These are also nice if you have to water a plant as it can drain nicely when it is off the ground. A great display and if you want to spruce it up just head to the hardware store for a can of paint!
