Art Deco French Walnut Center Table/ 44 1/2" x 38" x 29 1/4" high The table is French(we imported it a decade ago) and dates from about the later 1930s to early 1950s. A very nice table in nice condition. It is an expandable table but sadly. We do not have any of the leaves. The top locks underneath so it will not open unless wanted. The massive solid legs have a wood threaded end and thread into large blocks on the underside of the table. Happily they are very stable but can be unscrewed for transport. Pick up in Petersburg. Beautiful banding and rounded edges. Brass medallions at top of legs. Brass feet. Made in France. We bought this beautiful table in 1978 from a French antique dealer on Robertson Blvd in LA. At that time. It was over 100 years old. There is some water damage at the center of the table. But it is lovely and still very sturdy and in good condition. A crafty person could even do a fun new inlay, or even shorten the table by cutting a bit out of the center. This was once probably an expandable table, but if there was ever a center leaf, we never had it.

Absolutely stunning. Petite, console table. The table is French Art Deco or Empire in design and features walnut construction with a black paint and parcel gilt finish. The black paint is"rubbed" and the underlying walnut wood is exposed in several areas. There is a polyurethane protective coat over the paint. The front leg is a hand carved swan with nice detail. The table is old and dates to the early half of the 1900s. It is not marked and is probably a hand crafted piece(not a mass produced table) It is in good condition. The table is doweled at the stretcher leg area as well as where the legs fit into the table top. There is also a brass flat screw on the under side. IL- Far west Chicago suburbs) UP FOR AUCTION: A gorgeous. Vintage-to-antique, Louis XV-style, inlaid, carved walnut end or side table. It is. I think, absolutely stunning. The cabriole legs are ever so gracefully carved, with Art Nouveau curving swags, foliage and overturned bellflowers. The cross-stretchers are carved as well, adorned with a carved finial; the curvy skirt/apron, carved in a shell and floral theme. The inlaid or marquetry serpentine-edge top is exquisite, with a scrolling floral pattern, in different exotic hardwoods-I'm not sure of all the wood species, but it has a wonderful burled border, and I think, mahogany and satinwood. It's unmarked as to maker. I think it's ... morelikely circa early to mid-1900s. I believe it's in original condition. And it has wonderful patina and character. I think the legs and apron/skirt are solid walnut, and the top likely walnut and assorted veneers over a secondary hardwood. It comes with a custom-cut. 3/16"thick, glass top. It's beautiful! CONDITION: Overall. I think it's in very nice vintage condition. Solid and sturdy-the joints seem tight. For it's probable age, it seems to me in wonderful condition. I really don't see much by way of nicks and scratches. The glass top has alot of small nicks or fleabites along the edges and some scratches, but, overall, they all appear very minor, and I don't really see any flaws to the glass unless I'm looking for them. Otherwise. The only flaws I can see are on the top. While overall I think the top is in wonderful condition for its age(that's probably largely attributable to the glass top-I suspect it was used) it does have two flaws: 1) There are slightly raised splits or cracks in the veneer. Primarily in the four center diagonal pieces- I imagine from just age/changes in humidity- but they follow the grain of the veneer, and I personal

This is a beautiful French walnut coffer dating from the late 17c. It is adorned with a carved. Somewhat asymmetrical heart at the front, a carved rosette at the top and spindles surrounding three sides. There is a lock mounted into the lid, but no key. The construction and patina indicate that this is a period piece, with expected wear to the feet. Overall, it's in wonderful condition and really just charming.
