There is a single drawer with relief carvings that is gilded on the carvings. The drawer goes from front to back. And can be opened from either side. Authentic Civil War Era Curved Tin Medical Hip/Leg Canteen or Hot Water Bottle
We believe that this Civil War Era object is either a canteen or hot water bottle or flask. The unique curved oval shape would make for a good canteen because it could be strapped tight against the body to keep it out of the way(it fits nicely against the belly. Waist, hip or thigh) and would benefit from the user's body heat keeping the water from freezing. It could also be used as a hot water bottle that fits many of the body's contours. In any event, someone went to a great deal of trouble to make this complex shape and solder it together by hand. The curved oval form is solidly constructed with virtually no noticeable distortion, dinging or denting at all. The color is beautifully olive and fairly uniform throughout the piece with traces of light superficial rust that only add to the patina. No strap or cork is included, though ... morethe original hardware meant to attach them to is still present and all solidly attached. The construction overall is solid however there is about a 2" section of solder that has let go slightly so the vessel would not actually hold water. The joint could be easily re-soldered though we doubt you'll bother unless you plan to use it, as it is only find-able upon close inspection and not aesthetically bothersome. Dimensions are 8" tall x 10-1/2" wide. The thickness is about 7/8" however with the curve the overall height is about 2-1/2" Check out our other Civil War canteen auction currently running! Rare Antique Vintage Victorian Curved Leg Footstool - Wood+Iron - Tapestry Cover
Rare Antique Vintage Victorian Curved Iron Leg Footstool w/Tapestry Cover Measures approx. 11.25" diameter(wood) x 7" tall. It has very unusual curved iron legs and wood ball detailing. The top is the original(I believe) woven tapestry fabric which is very worn. There appear to be some added/replaced tacks used on the fabric. Though these are vintage and not recently done. One decorative wooden ball is missing. See photos for details. A very nice Victorian piece with great original patina!

1950's formica curved leg kitchenette table and chair set (red and grey)
Mid to small sized Formica top grey table. Metal curved legs(removable) Set of 4(one not pictured) vinyl red matching chairs. Chair seat is original, chair back had been redone by previous owner, chair backs suffer some damage. I'd always intended on reupholstering but it no longer fits my lifestyle. Terrific set with loads of character and charm.

Vtg Antique 40's Composition Curved Leg Jointed Girl Boy Baby Doll Toy w Outfit
Here is a vintage 1930's- 1940's composition baby doll. He is in overall good condition for age. He is very fragile. The band on one leg popped off and released the leg from the body. It is able to be fixed. I just don't know how to fix him. His little clothes are frail and tathered. He does have some flaking and general wear. This little guy is very fragile and you can tell by the looks of him that he is very old, but has been well taken care of. He is about 10" in length. This little guy will make an excellent addition to your antique doll collection. Please look at the pictures carefully and if you have any questions. Please ask.
