The tables are in nice structural condition and are fairly stable. I would not however recommend using these as your everyday end tables. These are perfect for someone who really knows this art and how to restore them. The gold paint is flaking and the paint on the top of the tables is as well. I purchased these at a fundraiser so I’m unsure if the original owner smoked(doesn’t smell it) or had any animals so you should assume they did. I'm pretty sure they had a cat. I'm highly allergic and touching them makes me itch but it doesn't smell like a cat. I have yet to clean these up since I don’t want to damage the paint any further. I would love to keep these but with 2 young boys they would never survive. The larger table(detail pictures shown first) is approx. 20” tall and the top is approx. 17” across. This has two broken off chips where the leg connects. these should not affect the stability. The smaller table is approx. 18” tall and approx. 13” across and has the same sort of damage to 2 parts. These also should not affect anything. For shipping. These will be disassembled and pieces will be individual wrapped. When reassembling I would recommend a little wd-40 on the bolts since they are tuff to take off. Please email with any questions. Remeber I'm not a company so please ask before buying. Thanks! The ... morestyle is from the 1830- 1840 period and that's when I believe this was made. There is a signature written in ink on the underside of the top. But it is very difficult to decipher(see photo below) I think the small circular inset in the table top might be a deliberate example of the maker's skill rather than a later repair, but it could be to"mend" a flaw in the wood I guess. There are several closed age related cracks to the top surface and some light scratches commensurate with its age, also a small black indentation, but they are not disfiguring and show in the photographs. With table tilted height is approx 8.70 inches, with table top flat, height is approx 5 inches and diameter is approx 7 inches. Overseas buyers are welcome with postage at cost but please wait for an invoice as the postage quoted in the listing is for UK delivery. Sorry but I am not willing to post to Italy at this time. Vintage Silvertone Mandolin...Beautifully Restored....Ready to Play
Here we have a very nice Fully Restored Silvertone Mandolin. This a very nice solid mandolin made in the 1940's. I start by removing the back panel and glued all existing braces and supports. I reset the neck at the proper angle and attach from the inside so it will not loosen. I replaced the back panel and cut new channel for the new cream colored bindings. I was able to save the original checkerboard binding on the front. I then removed all the old finish down to bare wood and use dyes to bring out the beautiful wood grain. I used a beautiful cherry veneer on the peghead. I the complete the finish with nitrocellulose lacquer and hand rub and wax for a beautiful high gloss finish. This one has a very dark front panel which made it difficult to photograph. Its not purple but black with a touch of dark brown. I reused the original Kluson ... moreDeluxe tuners which work very well and replaced the tuning knobs. It also includes the original brass bushings on the tuner shafts. I sanded and oiled the beautiful rosewood fretboard. I leveled and dressed the frets and they show no wear. I installed new D'Addario medium gage strings. I used the original rosewood adjustable bridge. I also used the original tailpiece but the original cover was missing. So I am making covers now because the original ones are so hard to find. I hope you think it is complementary to the restoration. Action is about.070" at the twelfth fret. Easy to play and sounds nice and sweet with good volume and sustain. This auction is for a vintage Sears Silver Danelecro guitar. It is possibly from the era of 1957-59. The info that I got is that it is a lipstick style. Short scale simulated leather(vinyl) It shows playng wear on the back, and has the"coke bottle" headstock shape. The wording of the Silverstone is not visible. However, it is very faint shadow when tilted in a certain way. I had someone that is an experienced guitar play test it, and he says it plays great. Beautifully Restored Vintage Swiss ALLEGRO Steel Road Bike Frame, Campagnolo
Up for auction is a gorgeous frame. A true piece of history. Allegro was a high-end Swiss bike manufacturer that distributed bikes through California in the 60's and 70's. This specific bike is an Allegro Special with a 23inch frame(center to centrer) Judging by its serial number, this bike was built between 1965 and 1967. The frame is constructed from only the best, Reynolds 531 steel tubing, with Campagnolo dropouts, ornate lugs and no braze-ons. It has been restored in a blue green metallic with white fades and red lug outlines. The head badge is beautiful. Cosmetically. The frame is 8.5/10, as there are some paint chips on the dropouts and on the top, down and seat tubes where components were clamped that could easily be touched up. There is no rust whatsoever. The decals are clear coated and in perfect condition. Structurally. ... moreThe bike has a few minor flaws. The rear right seat stay has a very slight, almost unnoticeable curve. Also, under the stays are two small uniform dents that may have been part of the original frame engineering(I have tried to show them in the pictures) These flaws did not effect the performance whatsoever when the bike was built up. The frame will also include the original Stronglight cranks. With 42 and 46 tooth chain rings, as well as original Stronglight headset and bottom bracket(both newly repacked) The components are in great condition with some wear from use but structurally perfect. The violin is in excellent shape; and ready to play; after being refurbished from an experience luthier last summer; 2012) This would make a fantastic Bluegrass or Old Time instrument! It is a violin I'm selling from my personal collection: Its the only American Made instrument in my collection Hand made with original label; by a single well known and respected Maker! On closer inspection you can see the tool marks made from the planes. Scrapers, and gouges; it also has exquisite channeling of both the top and bottom plates. Label reads: Guy E. The Old maple arched back is really sweet wide grain burl; and I do believe it has been cut tangentially to the grain; the flame has sort of a"Cat's Eye" effect when you move the instrument in the light! Beautifully inlaid purfling with bee sting! Reverse channeling is the mark of a skilled maker using hand made tools; this is not a machine reproduction by any means! this was probably very time consuming. It is a wonderful personal enhancement to the instrument! Brand new Rosewood tuning pegs Brand New Rosewood iunlaid Tailpiece New Rosewood Chin Rest A really nice meaty bass bar! Beautifully Restored 80 Year Old Stradivarius -Antique Vintage Fine Violin
For Sale is a beautiful Stradivarius handcrafted in West Germany. This violin was imported and sold by the Jackson Guldan Violin Co. in the early 1900's. The quality in this violin is extremely high. Beautiful flamed Maple as well as a tightly grained Spruce soundwood topsheet. This violin has been recently restored and refinished by Appalachian Luthiers. We are a small shop with roots that run deep in the mountains of Virginia. As a second generation luthier we now have two shops in our family. This violin was restored in our Haines. AK violin shop. When I started this project I inspected all the internal blocking and seams. The seams are perfect and there are NO repaired cracks, splits, or seperations. The finish of the violin was buffed in 3 seperate stages and a hand buffed finish was applied. The original Shellac remains on this ... moreviolin as do the scratches and minor dings that give this violin a time earned beautiful finish. The fittings were replaced with rosewood tailpiece and chinrest as well as a custom bridge. Nickel wound steel strings with brass rings complete the sound of this fine piece. This violin’s densely matched flamed Maple backplate is complemented by a tightly grained Spruce soundwood top. The result is a clear pronounced sound that is very responsive throughout its range. Mellow and defined on the“G” and“D” and bold and strong across the“A” while the“E” is extremely bright and accurate. It takes years for the soundwood in these classic violins to age and give you the mellow tones that a violinist is looking for. I believe this violin is there. Wonderful vintage crossstitch sampler expertly worked on natural colored linen. It reads. Let me live in the house by the side of the road and be a friend to man. It is framed in simple gold trimmed wood frame that measures about 11 1/2" x 14 1/2" I only know the needleworker's name was Helen and she was excellent at her work. Vintage Embroidered Doilie - Beautifully Hand Embroidered!
This is for a beautifully hand embroidered Vintage Doilie. It is from an Estate Sale. This one is unusual since it is a pale pink. Heavier linen and has the lace trim around the edges. I am no expert- just a collector of vintage linens, so I'm not sure of the age. It appears to be from the 30's or 40's- but I really don't know. A loss of job has forced me to get rid of some of my cherished vintage linens- not really my choice, just something I need to do. This one measures 17 1/2 inches by 15 inches and has some light staining in the middle(small spots) and a couple more age spots on one side- it will probably come out with careful cleaning- I haven't done anything to it at all. The design is a beautiful flower arrangement in a vase. It is done in beautiful bright colors with black trim. I have shown the back of to see ... morethe original tied knots. Hopefully the pictures tell the story completely. The flash doesn't seem to do them justice, and makes shadows that look a bit strange- but this is really a very nice piece in great condition. Antique vintage ladies millinery wood hat block / mold, beautifully made
This is from a collection of hat blocks acquired from the estate of a French milliner who came to the U.S. 1940s. And is a particularly beautiful one in its intricate construction and shape- it's my personal favorite of all I've offered for sale. I can't be certain of the date, but it is most likely from the late 30s/early 40s. Very solid, the form is constructed with a central"X" structure through a core cylinder, the outer shaped pieces varying in thickness from 1" to about 3/8"see photo details, difficult to describe! This is a gorgeous object with a lovely patina and it has obviously been used, so it has pin marks, a few nicks, scuffs, and discoloration toward the top(where the wood is darker) Stamped with a number"847" on side, it measures 22" circumference at base, 13" circumference ... moreat top edge, and is 6-1/4" high. Vintage Pullman Co. Beautifully Engraved Hand Chased RR Silver Server Plate '28
This is a beautifully engraved and hand chased Silver Service Plate for The Pullman Company Railroad table ware. The plate is 10 inches by 10 inches with wonderful detail work around the perimeter of the piece. Condition is very good with scratches and dings from years of usage. I've tried to show the plate clearly in the photos so you can see for yourself the condition and quality of this piece. Apparently. At some point in its history, someone put a few scratches in the center with a knife. No harm was done to the outer rim which is what is normally seen. It is marked on the back"International Silver Co. Silver Soldered" item number"SEO 336" and the number"28" within a square which I believe to be a date mark for 1928. It was originally marked"The Pullman Company" which is still partly visible ... morebeneath the cross etching out attempt from someone in the past. This plate is shown in Everett L. Maffett's book, Silver Banquet II" comprehensive Railroad Silver Reference) on page 184, in the Pullman Section, item number 60. The silver service plate. Also called"charger" plate(from the Middle English"chargeour" or"under plate" is purely decorative to add elegance to a formal meal. See the last photo to see an example of how it compliments the silver flatware and other items. This is a great example of how, in the early and mid part of the century, the railroads sought to provide a dining experience that rivaled the best restaurants. Railroad Silver is prized not only for its historic appeal. But also because it was made to be durable. In producing these pieces, the base metal is silver soldered and then plated up to 10-12 times to add a thicker plating than other silver plated pieces. Rare Vintage National Cash Register Beautifully Cast With Marble Ledge
Here is a rare vintage National Cash Register. It works very well and the cash drawer pops open very nicely when you press the no sale button. This is one of the most intricate and beautiful cash registers I have ever seen. The work that went into this one was meant to impress! It even has a real marble ledge just above the cash drawer. It measures about 17 inches tall X 16 inches deep X 17 1/2 inches across. It is very. Very heavy. I am guessing 60- 90 lbs. in weight so shipping charges will reflect that fact. However, any money not used for the shipping will be happily refunded. There is a number marked into this machine near the top which reads 903071 with the numbers 332 under that line. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free environment. You do not see anything like this these days! What a rare, old beauty!

This auction is for one antique or vintage crazy quilt top in decent condition for its age. One pink silk patch is shot. There are propable at least 6 other patches that either have a small hole or starting to shred. There are silks. satins. Cottons and some mystery materials. No wools or velvets. The seams where the materials are joined have hand work in pearl cotton. There are 20 blocks. The seams where the blocks join do not have handwork. No other embrodiery work found. Measures about 69 by 86. The first picture is the top spead out on a double bed. The back is a cotton muslin.Last shot shows this. Please see all pictures. Vintage German Beer Stein w/lid & music box/8" Beautifully decorated
Beer stein in excellent condition. No chips or cracking just normal imperfections expected on hand painted piece. Has been stored safely away for many years and this gorgeous piece needs to be displayed! Only marking is 53 and DBGM inside the lid. Beautiful Set of 4 Vintage NIPPON Cup and Saucer Sets The saucer is about 5" in diameter. The cup is about 4" in diameter and about 2" tall. The cup has floral decoration on the outside only with much gold decoration. The gold appears to be"raised" in many locations. The cups and saucers have a profuse amount of gold. There are not cracks but a very small chip on the bottom of a cup rim and the underside rim of a saucer. Overall excellent condition. The bottom has a green sticker/stamp. It reads. CHINA. E-OH.
