It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. Here is a very nice 3 drawer bedroom dresser. It has a marble top that can be removed. Has 3 holes on the back that looks like something was attached to it at one point in time. The drawer handles are hand carved grapes or berries with leaves. All handles are intact. None are broke or repaired. Looks like it's a tiger maple on the drawer fronts. Antique 1930's Beautiful Beveled Glass Marble Top Display Case Home Furniture
Hi, You are bidding on a very beautiful Antique Beveled Glass and Marble Top Display Case. It dates from around the late 1920's to early 1930's. The detail of the wood is very elegant. Although. I don't know exactly what kind of wood it is. The beveled glass is in fantastic condition with no cracks or chips. Beveled glass is becoming harder to find. Especially on earlier pieces. And it's way more expensive than regular glass. The original marble is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The display case measures 34" long by 31" high by 18" wide. It's always been kept in a dry and non smoking environment for many years. There's also an inscription on the inside at the top that looks like an S done in cursive writing.
