We are pleased to offer this antique to vintage coffee table. STUNNING burled mahogany veneer encompasses the entire table top. The grain pattern is quite striking. The top is elongated and scalloped. The edge of the top features a black painted trim. The top is skirted. The table column is substantial and rounded. There are 4 large. Carved acanthus leaves featured here. The relief areas in between the leaves has a hammered texture with the black paint repeated here. There are 4 substantial legs, which feature a scrolled design. Again, the inner sections of the scrolls have a hammered texture and again, are finished in a black paint. The table is quite beautiful. Measuring 29 1/2" tall, 30 3/4" square, this oversized lamp table would also be a splendid addition beneath a living room window or as a parlor room centerpiece. It features extremely ornate carvings and is in the French Rococo style. The table is a half round, demilune design. It has a very pronounced skirt with heavily carved flowers and leaves. The legs are also nicely carved with beautiful lines and curves. An ornate stretcher supports and connects the legs. The feet are in a claw design with the front, center foot being the only"whole" foot. The table has been(I don't know when) painted on the top as well as an accent to the flowers on the skirt. It is a beautiful little coffee table that came into the shop with a shoddy finish and instead of trying to clean it up and sell it. Like most people do, we take pride in our products. So we went right through this having it sanded, stained a dark reddish brown mahogany color and multiple coats of hand rubbed satin sheen lacquer. It is in beautiful condition. It has four carved corners on the multi-molded shapely top. The top has been double banded on the top with a maple and mahogany inlaid that has a saw tooth design and has a beautiful flame mahogany center. It sits on a ball and claw base with carved cabriole legs and has two legs on each column that are joined together with a solid mahogany turn spindle cross stretcher. The overall size is 37 inches long from carving to carving, 20 inches deep, 18 inches high to the table top and 20 inches high to the carved corner molded top. It is all set to go into the home and it doesn't get any nicer than this. It will cost $129.00 to have this coffee table shipped with in our normal shipping area. We are pleased to offer this beautiful set of 4 nesting tables. The tables date to the early half of the 20th century and are of Middle Eastern origin. The tables are solid rosewood or mahogany with a medium to dark stained finish. There is no veneer. The tables feature superbly carved table top perimeters. Inside the carved sections are lavish and intricate medallions which are created using inlaid brass. The tables are old and constructed using flat screws. Because of their handmade design. You will notice that the brass borders are not completely straight in all areas. These were not machine made. They fit together nicely as a group or can be used individually. The smallest table has a single drawer with the inlaid brass present on the drawer face. The tables are heavy and well made. They are in very good antique condition. Two of the ... moretables have a loose section of brass that can be tacked into place. There are no missing brass sections. There are a few, minor, surface nicks that are not severe or distracting. They do add to the aged character of the tables but can be resolved if you so desire. This is an elaborate set of extremely nice construction and beauty. The tables measure as follows in descending order: Table#1 is 20" tall. 19.75" wide and 11.5" deep. Table#2 is 19.5" tall, 17.75" wide and 11" deep. Table#3 is 18.5" tall, 16" wide and 11" deep. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique to older vintage(1920s) side tables or nightstands. The pair are Mahogany wood with French. Louis XV style. The pair feature a two tiered design with a single drawer on the front. They are exquisitely designed with a curved top and cut back at the drawer sections. The tops have a nice, striped grain pattern. The aprons have carved trim accents. There are 4, square medallions of carved roses and a carved scrolled trim around the entire perimeter of the aprons. There are 4, Empire styled column legs between the upper and lower tiers. Duncan Phyfe legs are present on the bottom of the tables and are finished with gilded iron, claw feet. The tables are finished with a rich, dark stain. The scrolled trim pieces as well as the trim on the drawer faces are a lighter color for contrast. The tables ... moreare not marked. They are constructed with flat screws. They are in very good condition and are sturdy. There is some expected wear in the form of minor nicks and scratches but they are not distracting and can be resolved. The old urethane/lacquer does have some minor crazing in a couple of areas but, again, nothing severe or distracting. The gilded finish on the iron feet does have an aged patina. There is a slight, partial water mark on one table top which is not too noticeable and which can also be resolved. In general, the tables/nightstands are very nice and the pair are quite striking. The tables measure 26.75" tall. The tops are the widest measurements and are 25.75" wide. The tables are 17.75" deep. The drawers have an interior measurement of 12.25" deep. 7.5" wide and 1.5" tall. They are delicate with the cabriole legs with an older mortise and tenon construction(see pictures) and the inlaid tops of each in exotic and fruit woods. The hand carved and pierced or reticulated floral and acanthus leaf aprons add to the pleasing characteristics of these tables. The bottom shelf of each is beautifully grained. The feet are carved. The fabulous grain of each of the woods is icing on the cake!
