Item# 120011RYI24 ... moreThis listing is for a remarkable and very fine Sheraton Pembroke table of the Federal Period. Crafted in New York during the first quarter of the 19th Century. It is a magnificent work, using the most incredible solid mahogany boards available for the overall presentation. Each leaf is a very broad single plank of full grained glowing mahogany, the middle most board a full 21 1/4" across the grain; each was flawlessly planed by hand until the surface was perfectly smooth, at which point a french polish was applied. This is a labor intensive and difficult finish to apply, layer after countless layer of shellac being rubbed into the surface by hand, but when done properly the result is breathtaking. The surface absolutely shimmers, the deep reds of the mahogany glowing through with utter brilliance. The leaves are notched and rounded. Giving an overall"cloud" form to each hanging surface, these lifting over hand forged iron hinges with entirely original screws. The top projects just slightly over the front, lining up perfectly along the sides such that the leaves rest squarely against the frame when in dropped form. One side of the table has a faux drawer with cockbead molding around it. The other side has a very deep drawer without cockbead molding, both having bold original polished brass stamped handles. Inside of the drawer. A white label is affixed on the left side from a dealer who once carried the table"Edwin C. An American mahogany extending low table
Normal 0 21 false false false EN-GB JA X-NONE With bowed ends and gilt tooled leather inset top. On eight splayed legs with inlaid banding and ending in brass cappings and castors. This elegant extending low table was very fashionable at the time of manufacture when Georgian and Federal style reproduction furniture were very sought after. The design is based on larger tables of conventional height from the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. This piece was bought at an antique store in Summerland. CA and has been used in our house in Santa Barbara, CA where it is now. Item is in good condition and in excellent working state(the extendable table. The wheels on the legs. there is however a part a bit damaged(you can see in pictures)

1920s American Mahogany Double Drop Leaf Table
For sale is a classic. Elegant American mahogany double drop leaf table. It is from the 1920s or teens and the surface is in excellent condition. There is one tiny heat spot you can see in the picture, and that is the only imperfection on the table. There are no significant scratches, no gouges, and the legs are scuff free. The condition is remarkable for a piece with high gloss table top. This heat spot could be fixed easily by a reconditioning expert(I am not) The style in ebay is listed as Chippendale. But its really not. Because there are no feet, curved lines or carvings. that's probably the closest in style I could find on the ebay drop down. Dims: both leaves up: 58.5"L. 38"W, 30"H both leaves down: 17.5"L. 38"W, 30"H I have used it sparingly at dinner parties I have held. Its primary function for ... moreme was as a multi-sized dinner table. Seating 2, 4 or 6 very comfortable- or as an expandable writing table(though you will want to keep a pad under where you write so as not to score the surface) It is configurable in 3 different sizes, with 2 drop leaves. This table has served as a visual anchor to my small dining rooms over the past 5 years. The great thing about it is that you can reduce the size to just 12" or so out from the wall by dropping both leaves. I purchased this table as an investment but really have run out of the ability to use after moving recently. Otherwise I would keep it. As noted above. The pins that stabilize the swinging legs are stable now, but are getting a little loose, so you must be a bit careful when swinging out the legs(as in all 100+ yr old furniture) Buyer must coordinate and pay shipping or pick up in Los Angeles. Antique Early American mahogany top Queen Anne style Lamp / Accent /Buffet Table
This is a beautiful and elegant antique Early American Queen Anne style Lamp or Accent Table. It has a mahogany top and is solid wood throughout. But I’m not sure of the type– probably cherry or maple. The table is very well built. And not loose or shaky at all. I suspect that it may have originally been a longer table. Possibly a buffet style, and that it has been cut down or shortened in length, and this explains the seam in the middle and the support panel underneath. The current size of the top of the table(28” x 18” is actually quite nice for a variety of uses and we have included a couple of pictures with appointments to illustrate this. The table is 30” tall and weighs 18 lbs. Although currently the seam in the middle is obvious. It is very well-fitted and some light refinish work to the top could greatly improve that seam. Vintage Duncan Phyfe type Coffee Table, Mahogany, American, Traditional 1940-50s
This table is from circa 1940-1950's. It is in great condition. Table measures 39" long. 20" wide, and 16.5" high. It has a removable glass on top of the wood where you can display pictures, mementoes, awards, etc. The legs have the traditional claws. The pictures do not display the glass very well, but it is in good condition, no chips, no cracks. I bought it at an estate sale for my daughter but she couldn't use it. This is a premium piece of furniture from the last century and very well made. Please ask questions if you need more information. It is local pickup only.
