Estimated to be made in the 19th Century Burl curved wood.I'm not sure of the wood type but looks to be Rosewood. Has two working drawers. Top 10 1/2" x 10" Bottom 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" Each drawer has 2 brass handles. Bottom of front legs have brass hardware on feet Dimensions: Depth-13 1/2" from wall to front drawer) Width in the front 16" Width in the back 20" Height-27" Condition: This is an antique that has flaws and some scratches. Minor blemishes.Small dings and scratches can be seen throughout the table. On the inside of the drawers and bottom of the outside of the drawers there is a thin layer of wood.The layer has age related damage.It is either ... moremissing.Chipped or peeled off.Please see picture#8 for example. Standing on traditional escargot feet. The finely shaped and molded frieze rails sweep in to the fine cabriole legs. The parquet top is all good with no significant marks or scratches. When the table is closed it measures; 51 inches long x 39 inches wide and 29.75 inches high. With one leaf drawn out it is 70 inches long and with both leaves fully extended it is 89 inches long. Residents of the San Francisco area at the time of their death, who make their wealth in the shoe business in the early 1900's. An appraisal is available upon request(dated September 4, 1975) from a Sr. Member American Society of Appraisers, Geo. E. Pair of matched Louis XV provincial style beech wood and walnut occasional tables. Circa 1920-1940. Both tables have very nice color. These tables are matched meaning that they were not born and raised together. They were married later. Store reference numbers, 15347& 15441.
