Vintage Hand Carved Painted Wood Bent Man Table Base
For sale I have a vintage piece of hand carved hand painted wood furniture. It is a table base in the shape of a bent man who would hold the glass up with his neck. It is missing the glass piece. Cosmetically it is in good condition with some light scratches and minor wear. There are some natural cracks in the wood on the bottom but no chips or cracks elsewhere. It is signed on the bottom but I can't make out the signature. It measures about 22 x 13 x 19 inches and is very heavy. I do not want to ship it because it is bulky and heavy. This is a to die for. Very rare piece of florentina. A Stunning Antique Vintage Italian Florentine Writing Desk with glass top, and it comes complete with a separate top piece with extra storage. It can be used with or without the top section. This stunning desk is beautiful from every angle. If you decide to use it without the top section the desk can float in your space since it is finished on all sides with hand painted italian craftsmanship. We have collected a ton of Florentine and have never ever seen a desk more beautiful than this one. You could easily float this in the center of a room. It has 4 small drawers(2 on each side) and one large drawer in the center. Each drawer has a lock that the key(which is included) unlocks. The desk measures 31 inches tall. 22 inches deep and 38 1/2 inches wide. It has a nice thick piece of glass ... moreon top of it so you can actually use it. This is a substantial piece of older Florentina, with a wonderful patina, in beautiful slightly chippy condition. The top piece is completely separate. It sits right on top of the desk. It has 2 wire mesh doors, and inside each door are shelves. There is also a handy drawer in the center. The top measures 17 inches tall, 10 1/4 inches deep and 36 1/4 inches wide. This piece is more chippy than the bottom desk. This is a really rare piece, and to have the two together is really special! Florentine looks amazing with Hollywood Regency. This is an old early 1900s I think but may be older set of 3 stacking tables from an estate. All together they are 27" tall and top table is 18 1/2" by 14 1/2" The top has a hand painted scene of a shepard and his sheep. The top table has seen the most use and could be made more beautiful by a person who has furniture knowledge. It has numerous dark spots that furniture polish did not effect and a 3" and 1" scratch and other smaller scuff marks. These dark spots may of been caused by heat as a guesse on my part as I really do not know. An artist could touch up the scratches. The top is in used as is condition. The center table is 16" by 13" and has a French lady in a pastorial setting with house in background. It has a 1/2" possible burn hole? It has normal vintage wear. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL AND RARE DESIGN. Antique to older vintage(early 20th century) entry, library, gueridon table. This is a GRAND table, both in scale as well as detail. The table is Rosewood veneer with inlay(marquetry) designs. The table has been completely hand painted(original) in a fabulous flower and drapery pattern. The floral theme is continued in the design of the table base. The base features a very rare, flower petal form, stretcher which is incorporated beautifully into the table design. Each of the 6 petals attaches to each of the table's legs. There are intricate bronze feet which rest on the stretcher. The legs are separated with fabulous arches. The arches are accented with bronze trim. There are also large bronze decorative, acanthus swag mounts on the table apron, in between the legs and arches. ... moreThe painted details are superb. The bellflowers are quite unique with a"ringed" accent detail on each bulb. This is an incredibly beautiful and unique table. It is not marked but it is quite special. It is very large and heavy. It is in very good condition with minor signs of age/use. As is quite common with these pieces. There are areas of"bubbling" to the veneer but all of the veneer is intact. The bronze is completely intact with no missing pieces. There are some"gaps" if you will, around the table top where the bronze trim is located. This means that, although still attached, you can see a space between the trim and the table top in a few areas. This is neither severe nor distracting. You can also see the sections where the table base comes together. The high gloss finish does have surface scratches and some pitted areas on the table top. These are visible in direct light, and not noticeable unless in direct light. In general, this is a fabulous table in VERY GOOD condition. This is a one of a kind design. It is truly beautiful. RARE PR VTG FRENCH CHINOISERIE HAND PAINTED IRON TOLE BAMBOO TALBES NIGHTSTANDS
We are pleased to offer this EXTRAORDINARY pair of vintage(late 1940s) tables. The tables are French Chinoiserie style and feature hand painted. Metal tole tops and wrought iron(heavy) faux bamboo bases. The tops are red with and are adorned with hand painted flowers. The tops are almost identical, but, because they are hand painted, there are slight differences(very hard to detect unless you are trying to find them) The tops have scalloped aprons with a hand hammered, beaded detail. The tables are demilune, half round design. The tops lift off the bases and are not permanently attached. The bases are heavy(the tops are thinner sheets of iron tole) They are a faux bamboo uniquely created with iron rings welded to the frames to produce the bamboo cane effect. The bases are white washed(original) with an antiqued gold accent. They are superbly ... moreconstructed and are very sturdy. The tables are not marked but are of very fine quality. They have been with their original owner until recently. They have been very well cared for and only have some minor areas of wear on the tops. This can be resolved(if you wanted to) but, as they are, they have a beautiful, antique character and an incredible, elegant feel. The tables are rare and you will not likely find another pair like them. These are special! The tables are a generous size and measure just under 31" tall. Antique Hand Painted Olive Green Spindle Leg Magazine Rack End Side Table This is an excellent Antique Magazine Rack End Table. Hand painted a nice deep olive green. Has a very stylish look about it. On both sides of the table are magazine slots. Also has a small middle shelf. Stands on ornate spindle legs. In great solid condition with only some minor surface wear and wear to some of the paint. VINTAGE HAND PAINTED ITALIAN CERAMIC GARDEN TABLE METAL BASE HEAVY 44" DIA ROUND
This absolutely gorgeous authentic early to mid-twentieth century hand painted Italian garden table with metal base was purchased by my consignor's mother. A California-based interior decorator, on a buying trip to Italy in the early 1970's and was used inside her own home until my consignor inherited the table several years ago. He is now moving into a home with less space and has decided to let it go, along with four terrific designer lawn chairs she also purchased back at in the 1970's from a designer furniture center in San Francisco and have been used with the table as a dining set since. I show these four chairs with the table in my final two photographs here and they are available for purchase through a separate auction in my ebay store if the buyer of the table is interested in purchasing them and keeping this married"set" ... moretogether. This auction is however for the delightful 44 inch diameter hand painted garden table of decorative metal base only. This delightful table has a fabulous traditional Italian hand painted design in blue. Green and yellow and measures a thickness of 1 3/4" inches thick with a beveled edge. In place on it's metal base the table top is 31 inches tall and works beautifully as a dining table both inside or outside in a garden or yard as per it's original design. The colors are bright and the design intact, again with only some minor age appropriate chipping to the design primarily right around the edge where it receives the most use over time as shown clearly in my many photographs.
