It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. The marble top has several cracks but overall the piece is still in fairly good condition. A very nice antique piece of furniture. It measures about 78 inches tall counting the mirror and is about 45 1/2 x 21 inches wide. Pedestal, some feet) c. 1825 and significantly rebuilt in the 20th Century Item# 12001078208 This is a beautiful decorative work. Crafted using old parts to lend originality and age to the table as it was crafted for a second time during the 20th Century. It features a broad solid black and gray marble top, resting over a new mahogany veneered top with pine plywood secondary woods, attaching to the head of the base with screws from beneath. The pedestal itself appears to be of the period, probably c. 1825, a wonderful gesso decorated and gilt highlighted work of art that is wrapped in a bulbous leafed palmetto formation over a ring turned base. This tenons into the triangular Lion Footed mahogany ... moreveneered base. Most of the feet are rebuilt, though after one original foot to maintain the integrity of the design. While this is not a collector quality work. This is an affordable work with significant character and age throughout. An original Gueridon of this style would be prohibitively priced, making this the perfect selection of a decorator with a budget looking for the depth of an original without the cost. Measurements: 36" wide x 29 1/4" high Condition Report: 1. Severely distressed gilt with exposed and damaged gesso on pedestal. 2. Numerous chips to marble top around the edge(all photographed in the slideshow) 3. Composed of old parts. The diameter measures 29-1/2" but I believe they call this a 30" table top. It was probably used on a plant stand or some type of table. The finish is flat or matte and it has signs of use over the years that gives it an aged patina look. It is in as found condition and I have not attempted to clean it. There are some rust colored marks as shown in the pictures. There is also some flaking here and there. The marks probably come from being exposed to water over the years. ANTIQUE 1930s FRENCH ART DECO LOUIS XIV ACCENT GILDED IRON TABLE MARBLE TOP
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique side/accent table. Circa 1930s-1940s, this table is a fantastic example of French Art Deco with some obvious Louis XIV or Empire influences. The table base is gilded iron and combines sleek lines with ornate details. The table has 4 double curved legs that attach to a circular cross piece. The legs have small spherical finials at the ends. The top of the table base is adorned with gorgeous curved iron. A gilded tole drapery and swag pattern is present around the entire upper circumference. Large, dimensional rosettes, also in gilded tole, are attached as accents. The table top is a gorgeous stone(marble/quartz/granite) in a grayish taupe color. It has a soft pattern and is not"busy" The top is marked on the bottom with a large center character and with"W. Port France" printed ... moreon the underside as well. I do not know if the top is original to the base. The base has an inner lip which may have been home to a piece of glass at one time. As it is, the stone sits independently on top of the base. Regardless, this is a stunning table. It is in wonderful condition with very little evidence of age or use. There are some small faded areas to the gilded finish, but these are very minor and do not distract from the piece. The stone is quite heavy. The table, though open in design, has a substantial feel and also has weight to it. It is very sturdy. The piece measures as follows: The marble top is 22" in diameter and is approximately.75" thick. The table base is 24.5" tall without the stone top. It is 20.1/8 wide at the exterior top measurement and is 19.7/8" in diameter at the bottom. With the stone attached. The table is 25.5" tall. The stamp on the bottom reads: Made in France" It is not antique I believe but has good age perhaps fifty years or more. The table is made of wood. Metal and marble. The wood has a dark walnut finish with an antique gold accent on the stem. The marble top has a salmon and brown finish. The table is in good solid condition overall with nicks and scrapes here and there, stain loss, repairs to the wood and tarnish to the metal. This item is an antique. Victorian, marble top coffee table with a marble top(Italy) It may be mahogany. Dimensions: Height, 16.5 inches; Width, 34.5 inches; Depth( 22.5 inches. There is carving on both sides. The table is solid and in good condition. With some signs of wear which I think could be corrected. The marble is in good condition, no chips or cracks but some little brown specs(see photo) that could maybe be lightened with bleach and a toothpick. Just guessing, here. There is one little scratched area about an inch long through one of the dark gray areas, but, I also think this could be corrected. The table bottom portion has a wood top and is marked"Made by Victoria" I think- the last few letters of"Victoria" are illegible) This table has been in my family since its original purchase. The tables are stamped Victorian and numbered. Drawers are numbered and match. Two oval tables are 29" tall 34" long 24" wide. The flower accents are on both sides. The table with the drawers are 30" tall 38" long 13" wide. Drawers in great condition. The marble rests freely on top of the wood base.
