I purchased these from an antique dealer in Carmel several years ago. Who had lived in Bali and Indonesia and had these shipped over many years ago. They stand stand 17" 17.5" tall(one a tad bigger than other) Including a 2" thick top, ... moreapproximately 50" in circumference, measured around the middle. Base is about 3" thick and measures about 14" with octagonal corners. Top measures 19"x 20" for one, other is 18.5"x 19" These are beyond fabulous for tables! They are so heavy and solid. I would guess they weigh at least 100 pounds plus, or more. Original paint, pinks, yellows, greens, more, all deeply carved with the ancanthus leaves, portion of a face in one. Symbolic I am sure, but I only know that they are antique, solid hand carved, with beautifully weathered old natural rustic paint. They are carved all the way around. I cannot hardly move to photo! Beyond shabby chic! Fabulous patina! The natural wear of salvage but that is their beauty! One side on each has a crack that doesn't go through that only adds to the patina. Please see photo of the only one to me, of any consequence, does mot interfere with use. Usually when found they are all cracked from weather but these still retain their artistic solid qualities! Oak Dining Set, Heavily Carved, European French Country-china/sideboard/table

First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique dining room set has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We bought this set as a favor to a friend. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that each piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. The only hardware in the whole set are the hinges. Handles and lock mechanisms on the sideboard and the china, and those are all solid brass. We also have two very decorative brass keys that fit all the locks. This set is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet tops on the ... moresideboard and the dining room table are solid. Not veneer. The set is heavily carved. Each piece has gorgeous detail. The legs of each piece are curved with carved detail. Pictures do not do this set justice. It is large. Bold and just gorgeous. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. We mention the bumps and bruises so that somebody is not expecting a flawless set, however we highly encourage personal inspection of these items to see exactly for yourself. These items are in generally good condition with wear and tear consistent with its age. Recently while selling an antique coffee table we had, a gentleman that has been in the business, mention that this set was probably made between the 1930's and 1950. It measures 48" x 48" in its smallest, non-extended(i.e. shortest form with no leaves) It comes with SIX 12" x 48" leaves which extend the table to 48" x 120" INCREDIBLY. When fully extended. It can reach a whopping 13 FEET 2 1/2" LONG! I am not clear on exactly how old the table is but would estimate 1880- 1900. The Leaves fit perfectly and work well. The Table is in overall BEAUTIFUL condition with a few table top scratches/ character marks(see photos) certainly to be expected due to age and use but nothing effecting the tables beauty. The Tables 6 Legs rest on rolling casters for ease of movement. They ... moreare easily removable or replaceable. The Table is 30" tall and I estimate(just a guess) it weighs. Including the 6 leaves@ 100- 125 pounds. I would say not all of the leaves are original based on grain pattern but it still looks awesome none the less. NOTE: The 2 ornate end leg sets are all one piece and easily removable by 2 bolts. I mention this for a couple of reasons. First. The Leg Sets are reversible and can be used either facing in or facing out. I have take a photo with the legs set each way so carefully examine them so you see this effect. Beautiful Tudor / Jacobean carved oak library table

Up for auction is this handsome carved oak library table. It measures about 48" long x 28" wide x 28.5" high. It has a dark fumed oak finish and a beautiful quartersawn oak grain. I presume it was made in the 1900's or 1920's or possibly earlier and would fit very well into any Tudor or Spanish Revival interior. There are some major issues. Though. There is a large, deep burn mark on one corner. The burn is almost 3/4" deep along with superficial burned surface surround it. The finish with very worn and would benefit from restoration. All of the bun feet are missing sections. Otherwise, a sturdy piece.There are two deep drawers one located on each end of the table. A very nice table and worth the work. Priced to sell. Beautiful old cabinet. It is a mixed media of barley twist legs. Inlaid wood as well as carving and a pediment top. There are no water marks. And very minor wear for its age. There is one small place where we chipped front when we were moving. You would have to look for it to even find it. Not sure what it's intended use was. The Parlor Table has four(4) carved legs with a shelf below. just like the larger ones. The legs are scalloped on the inside with carved curly-ques. Please look closely at the photos as they are part of the description. All toes are present and the table is SOLID. We purchased this from a shop in Columbus. OH in the early 1980's. The owner was a FABULOUS craftsman and refinished it for us. We had him replace the extenders with new ones.
