Antique, Swing Arm Curtain Rods, With Brackets
I have for sale a beautiful set of Victorian. Swing Arm Curtain rods, antique as far as I can tell) complete with brackets. I've included a photo of a an example of some rods(examples, not necessarily these rods) in use in my Victorian home where they used to hang. They can swing out to facilitate opening windows, cleaning windows, or letting in more light. I found them beautiful as well as functional. I have several sets for sale now as I have relocated. The rods are complete with the necessary brackets. These are lighter weight then the others I have and I m not sure what they are made from. They do have a little rust, and you may want to paint them. I had them in a shabby chic room and preferred them unpainted. They fit on either side of a window and swing open or shut. They extend from 16 3/4" to 23" on either side. They ... morestick out 4" from the wall. In theory. They should cover a window 46" wide; however, as you extend them, they become weaker and tend to sag(I am being honest here because I found this out the hard way) I had them installed one set to each single, double hung window. I slid the curtains on to the rods. Some people use rings to attach to rods and you can purchase rings to fit if you like that look. Brackets included. The brackets are hard to find and essential. I will try to get the other sets posted today or feel free to contact me to see other sets. These rods are hard to find this complete and very expensive in antique shops when you can find them. Description(4) vintage cast iron wall mounted brackets. The vintage cast brackets came out of an old shed where horse harnesses were draped over the rounded cut-outs on the top portion as they would mount. Also. There was other tack hung on the old cast hangers. Absolutely no cracks, breaks, or repairs on the brackets. All solid cast iron. All have three flanged cast iron lips for the wall mount security. If you wold look closely, you can see that the extended arm that carries the load is arched like a bridge for added strength. They x 1/4" x 1/2" oval arched support that connects from the wall mount to the scalloped top supports. They are very well constructed. All the patina/rust is light surface rust, nothing pitting. These could easily be painted to fit any decor. They would extend about 6" from the wall, the smaller hook is about 2 1/2" from the wall.They do show lots of age, one small hanger is bent outward at a small angle. There was wire wrapped around some of the brackets and when I removed the wire, I scrapped off the'age patina' and left a few small shiny scratches. Large Pair of Antique Victorian Shelf Brackets w/ Two Prs of Birds in Scrollwork
Large Pair of Cast Iron Victorian Shelf Brackets. Measuring 13"d x 14"h x 2"w( widest part) Each Bracket has a larger Bird in flight on the top of the scroll work, and a similar smaller Bird on the bottom. The iron is unpainted, with surface rust-which I find creates a very appealing patina. The only structural damage is to one bracket: the bottom 3/4" is missing, as well as most of the bottom hole. The remaining 2 holes used to secure the bracket to the wall, and all the holes used to secure the shelf; as well as all of the holes on the second bracket, are there and in good condition. The scroll work is not missing or damaged on either bracket. The birds and the size of these brackets make them a very unique and appealing architectural accent to your home decor.

Large heavy pair of enamel metal bracket marked what looks like B& M Works Standard. They measures 18 1/2" by 15" and they look like they are from the 1920's I would guess from the look and design. They are painted white and there a spots where the paint chipped off a little bit here and there that can be seen in the photos. They weight about 10 lbs. each so keep that in mind with regards to the shipping. Here is a pair of beautiful shelf brackets. Made of cast iron. Lightly rusted, with some old paint remaining. Design is still very clear. One side is 9 inches long, and the other is 11 inches long. Up for bid is an antique set of 8 cast iron floral curtain rods. I love the design on them. There are all complete. There have some wear from over the years but are in very good condition for the age. I believe these date to the 20’s or 30’s. They could probably use a better cleaning. I could only find one break on the end piece of one of the floral ones. Some of the paint is off but I believe that is common with the age of them. Please see the picture.
