It is 60 inches long by 48 inches wide and includes a metal ring style pullout for a 12 inch leaf which brings it to 72 inches. Very Good condition and Sturdy. Some scratches but nothing significant- Restore-a-Finish will quickly bring the luster back. I hate to sell it. But it doesn't fit in my new place and I've got nowhere to store it. Antique ''radio' table from the 20's- gorgeous. Circa 1920 wood, carved
I got this at an antique store a few years ago for $250. But since then I've accumulated six antique tables. I am moving in the next few months and really need to downsize. So, the more'recent' tables gotta go. This is from the 20s and is called a'radio' table. I guess b/c they made nice tables to set your radio on. They are made more sturdy with the bar running underneath b/t the legs. Beautiful carvings and wood inlays on top and it has a very unique style of'bar' underneath the table. I'm not sure what kind of wood this is. Definitely an unusual piece with a lot of beauty. A beautiful. Versatile, antique dining table. I purchased it from an antique dealer in West Palm Beach, Fl. The date of the table is between 1920-1940. It appears to have been repainted at some time, but I don't know when. Photos#2&3 show the distressing the in paint finish. Photo#4 shows that someone at some point added brass latches underneath(to strengthen the connection when all leaves are in) The table comes with 3 leaves. Two of them are origional. This is a very good condition tiger oak drop leaf gate leg table. I was unable to find a maker anywhere on the table. It appears to be early 20th century. There are no major cracks or broken parts on the table. There is an nseen repair board underneath that can be seen in the picture. It does have the usual petina of an antique table but as you can see is in great shape. The table measures 39" wide x 30" long x 29" tall when open and is 14" wide when closed. I am almost certain it is made of oak but I am far from being an expert on wood. The label on the bottom states it was made by the Wisconsin Furniture company. It shows patent dates for this design. Twin Pedestal Extension Table" on the label as well. From my research it looks to be nearly 100 years old. Thinking it was produced about 1915. I do not have any other information on the table other than the label as it was a gift from a friend. There are a few imperfections here and there but none take away from the beauty of the table(see pics) The top of the table is virtually flawless! Even the leaves are in beautiful condition! This table extends out to 91 1/2 inches long. Just over 7 1/2' Without ... morethe leaves the table measures 45 3/8 inches round. That is how they were made and you can see the non arm chairs in some of the pics and from under the table views. They are all useable as we sit in them everyday. Multiple times a day. The gorgeous hutch is 2 pieces. This set is VERY heavy and very grand in my opinion. I fell instantly in love with the beauty of it but just can't make it work due to its large size and inability to reduce length. Wow! I absolutely love this coffee table. It even has the decorators name written on the bottom of the sleigh. It is beautiful.
