NOW IT IS TORN DOWN AND THIS IS ONE OF THE REMAINING RELICS FROM IT. MY FATHER HAD PURCHASED THIS BUILDING AND MADE IT INTO THE"KD STATION" SHOPPING CENTER IN 1976. I HAD THE ANCHER STORE THERE FOR 29 YEARS. THIS IS ONE OF THE CARTS THAT WE ALL USED TO MOVE STUFF AROUND AND THIS IS A BIG STRONG PIECE. IT HAS MOVED ALOT OF FURNITURE AMOUNG OTHER THINGS I IMAGINE. Antique Machine Age Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Coffee Table Base Steampunk
Here we have a great antique cast iron base with hand cranks on each side that turn a gear. The gear comes out a little bit above to top of the table base I imagine it would make for a cool adjustable drafting style coffee table. As you can see from the photos these legs are a bit top heavy. I put a small piece of cardboard to hold the two legs together and they stood up fine no problem so I don't think there would be any issue once a top is crafted for them. The bottom of the legs can also be mounted so this could either be mounted to the floor or even on top of a taller table to craft or even the wall. These legs stand about 18 inches tall not counting the gears and cranks.

The distressed wood has lot of character which is all original. The wood was lightly sanded. Stained with Minwax"Cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane. Unsigned but an early Uhl Toledo piece. The last one of these to sell-different top but same frame brought $1500 as you just don't see them. Table top has some problems with some chipping.Delamination and extra holes. Frame is still pretty nice and in the original paint. You move the lever one way so it sets on the legs, move it the other and it lowers the rollers to roll around. Needs some old white paint droppings carefully scraped off it. Sound and solid. For sale is a great Hamilton Drafting Table. Dating from the early 20th century it was known as a Hamilton Champion Drawing Table. The top measures 31" x 41 3/4" and the legs are 26" deep. The top is made of white pine with hardwood cleats. There is some old masking tape along the edges. Possibly cut down to this size. The top has pin holes and wear with a little discoloration. The base has the original black paint with appropiate wear. It operates well and lifts from 33" to 41 1/2" Great cast iron star handle and hardware. Recent find from an old warehouse is this amazing pair of iron table legs. Unfortunately the pictures do not do them justice. They say Excelsior Machine Works Chicago on the front and have a large eagle. They are made out of Iron. They are 30 inches tall 32 inches wide at the top 27 inches wide at the bottom and 2 inches thick. They have a great worn patina to them and with a coat of sealer they would be just spectacular. They can hold up any size wood top you would need. They weight about 120 lbs each so they are very sturdy. It does have machine holes from the original mountings. I am unsure of what they held but I believe is was a printing press. From what I could learn about Excelsior Machine Works was that it made printing presses. These are from the late 1800's to the very early 1900's. Your never gonna find anything like these ... moreand the large eagles are just amazing on these. I have done some checking on the shipping of these and I can have two wood crates made and ship them via FedEx ground. It will be about 325.00 to get the 2 crates made. This is a very fine example of an industrial era Hamilton Drafting table from the early 1900's. Manufactured in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. The unit is complete and undamaged, with no broken or missing cast iron pieces. The pine top measures approximately 5 feet across, 39 inches at the widest point and 1 inch thick. The top is solid and undamaged with some ink stains, tape adhesive and pin holes generated over years of use. The table adjustments are original, complete and work properly. The legs and frame are the original black paint, showing the years of patina and normal usage. Antique Mechanical Age Vintage Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table. I bought this drafting table from a individual who inheriated it from his grandfather who intern recieved it from a dayton Ohio firm when he retired in the early 60's so the story goes. The drafting table does not show any lableing regarding the manufacture but it is clearly an antique. The diminsions: Table Top 60" Long x 36" Wide x 1" Thick. When cranked all the way down with the table top flat it sit approximately 35" above the floor. When cranked all the way up with the table top flat it sit approximately 47" above the floor. To raise and lower the drafting you release the pressure by turning a spicket type handle see picture number 9. Then you turn the wheel see picture 9 and then 11 for close up. Once you have the drafting table at the desired ... moreheight you turn the spicket clockwise to apply pressure to the mechanism to secure the desired height. The drafting table angles approximately 80 degrees in both directions. Again you use a spicket type handel see picture 10 turning counterclockwise which releases the pressure on the drafting table top mechinism then you push or lift the drafting table top to the angle you want and then you turn the spicket handle clockwise to to apply pressure to secure the angle of the drafting table top. Very sturdy and quite solid! You can actually spin the wheel with one finger! Great item for repurposing! The base is heavy so it supports the top when raised to the highest position with ease. I identified this as a Karlo stand by some others online and the fact that it is identical to others for sale and sold and this one has some remnants of the Karlo tag in the place that it should and the colors are visible. The wheels roll with ease. The wheel and the knob that tightens to hold the height adjustment in place all work perfectly and with no hard turning. The wood table top appears to ... morebe quite old and does have some small damage to an edge or two. ANTIQUE DIETZGEN CAST IRON DRAFTING TABLE INDUSTRIAL AGE STEAMPUNK
A rare Dietzgen drafting table with a cast iron base. Our research shows it is a very early version cast only with a 213 at the base of center posts. The table is height adjustable by turning the crank and tilts by loosing a handle. The treads are not SAE/USS standard which was established in 1906 and based on this. The table is probably dated from this period. This drafting table was found sitting upside down in the loft of my friends old junkyard near Detroit. I went back later and dug up and old drafting light which is included- last picture. The light works but it needs a part on the receptacle end and there is no shroud. But at one time it apparently was mounted on the middle top of the board judging by screw holes. The light does post-date the drafting board though. The 3 foot by 6 foot table top has a lot of patina its 100+ years. ... moreWe decided to leave this original top alone except for a few minor touch-ups with varnish. At some time in the past it had several coats of varnish applied to the table top. The top at three feet wide is narrower than most later tops so its convenient to use as an kitchen island or modern living room. The table has one odd aspect. There is a section of the vertical motion range where the board has to be tilted upright otherwise the curved track ear interferes with the cross shaft of the gear mechanism. A few items were repaired; one thread on a through rod at the base. The crank handle was replaced with a very similar later crank from a vintage milling machine, however the original crank is included. The bottom tubes where people rested their feet were straightened. There is still one tube in the middle that is slightly bent. The cast iron base was repainted in semi-gloss black based on some sections of the original paint. The base and the bottom of the table were painted black many years ago and some of this repaint had chipped off so we decided to go ahead and paint the cast iron base and any iron parts on the table top. Illinois Here we have a beautifully rugged relic of days gone by that stopped us in our tracks at a recent auction…a hardwood Master Carpenter’s workbench. Circa early 1930’s. The patina is absolutely amazing. This hasn't been made to look aged or distressed. The gentleman who owned this bench would have been over 100 years old, if he were with us today. He was a master craftsman who created many of the hand made clocks and cabinets in their simple home beginning in the early 1930’s, and we could only imagine how many hours he must have spent ... moreworking away at this very bench. This authentic vintage carpenter’s bench bears all of the patina and markings of its age and purpose. You’ll find both deep and superficial cuts, grooves, and wear marks… small paint splatters, a few small burn marks and more… each helping to tell the story of its history. There are two vices at the front of the bench in perfect working order. We found this antique bench to be neat, orderly, and lovingly maintained in the basement workshop of the home. We’ve taken care not to change a thing, simply giving it a linseed oil treatment to bring out its beautiful tone and texture. Antique Fancy Industrial Cast Iron Table/Work Bench Legs
This is an interesting pair of antique industrial cast iron work table or bench legs circa 1900. They were found with the original wooden connector bar. It is hardwood and has years of wear from feet resting on it.On the back of each leg there is a specially cast socket for the connector with a hole for screwing. To re-purpose these legs you could use or not use the connector or make a longer one to suit your concept.Each leg has an upwards curving cast iron support that is perpendicular to the leg and would add support towards the middle of your table top.Each leg measures approx. 22 7/8" high. The width at the bottom is approx. 19" The width at the top is 15 3/4" On the inside one leg is marked L for left and the other is marked R for right.
