Hello there. Up for auction I have a vintage Victorian cast iron swivel wall hanger. The hanger measures 15" from top to bottom. And the 4 hooks measure 10" 8" 5-1/2" 4" from top to bottom respectively. Each hook turns 180 degrees, and each has 3 pinholes in the back to hold each hook in a different place. This piece weighs just over 4-1/4 pounds. This item does have paint loss and very minimal surface oxidation, particularly on the back where it is attached to the wall. Six of these hooks are the same and the hook that has old paint on it is just a bit smaller. Six of these hooks are in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or worn areas in the metal and there are no repairs, but one of the larger black hooks has a flaw in the cast iron(sort of a dent) near the end of the hook which you can see in the pictures. The bigger hooks were all painted black at some point so they do show signs of natural wear and use with most of the paint missing. All the patina/rust is light surface rust, nothing pitting. These could easily be painted to fit any decor. They would extend about 6" from the wall, the smaller hook is about 2 1/2" from the wall.They do show lots of age, one small hanger is bent outward at a small angle. There was wire wrapped around some of the brackets and when I removed the wire, I scrapped off the'age patina' and left a few small shiny scratches. Lot of 12 pcs Antique cast iron coat hooks. Original.Victorian era hardware. These obviously came from the same coatrack as evidenced by the paint. Most cast iron hardware of this era was coated in a tough black oil paint. These retain most of that black paint.As well as very old white(creme,now) oil based paint. These were maore than likely in a closet that got painted that white only once in it's lifetime,as wear is very light on these. They project 1-5/8" out from the wall.Single screw mounting,with a nib on the back of the packplate that keeps them from spinning. Simple,elegant design. I have other lots listed.
