Condition: Used Location: Charleston, United States This listing is for a Antique Quarter-sawn Tiger Oak Victorian Glass Ball Claw Footed 2-Tier Parlor Table. This piece stands 30 inches tall~ approx 2 ... more1/2 feet. 22 3/4 inches across the top/ square. The bottom shelf. At the narrowest point, measures 15 inches across square. The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. The way this is constructed, it appears it can be taken apart ~ legs removed and lower shelf removed, for possible shipping. Because of its size and weight. It may need to be shipped Freight~ atleast the top of the table, which I do not have an account or shipping association to do. I can check with UPS and see what would need to be done. The top is 72 inches(6 foot) by 44 inches. Unlike most drafting table tops. This one is not full of pin holes or scratches. The top is very smooth and in great condition which is pretty rare. I've had this at least 15 years and used it with a white masonite protector over the top. There are some water stains on the top. One of the oak side caps has a small saw notch in it. The light has very good paint and works OK. The right hand Vemco 4100/30 drafting machine is in very good condtion. A few chips in the paint. It is a 30" machine which is an appropiate size for this board. I am not including any scales, they are availabe on Ebay. The stool has alot of paint worn off on the steel legs. It is the Fred Flintstone stool. Used to have a pad on top. The stool is the right height for most people who would use this table. The bottom of the drafting table is oak and is complete. I had to take parts from another table to complete the hardware on this one. There is one crack which was repaired on one of the leg braces as you can see in the pictures. Glue squeezed out from the crack wh ich is the line you see. The table tilts and can be raised or lowered. To ship this would mean crating it and unfortunately there is no inexpensive way to do this. The cabinet has been cleaned up to look as close to new as possible. We added a custom top and stained it to match as close as possible. We then added stainless legs to make this a cool coffee table. There is the original hole there in one of the drawers for where the lock was but the lock is missing. The entire cabinet measures 33" wide 17" deep and 17" tall. Also, are 6 oak chairs, with hand-woven hickory chair bottoms. The chairs measure 35 1/2" in height at the backs and 16" in height at the seat. The seats are slightly wider at the front(16 1/2" than at the back(14 1/2" and have a seat depth(front to back) of 13 1/2" The backs of these chairs are extremely comfortable because they are slightly curved backward as they go up, and they back slats are also curved to provide more comfort. ~ Beautiful Antique Tiger Oak 5 Leg Dining Table w/1 Leaf ~ Up for your viewing is an awesome tiger oak dining table that I purchased from an estate auction about a year ago. I actually purchased two tables. One was round(which I already sold) and this one. They both had been stored in I believe an attic, for they were very dusty and dirty due to being stored for many years. This table appears to have quite a few layers of varnish or stain on it and when they stored it I believe they put a vinyl table cloth on it, the kind with the cotton or felt like lining and through the years of heat and the layers of varnish it has on it the lining somewhat stuck to the top of the table. When I went to clean it up the fuzzy stuff would not come off no matter what I did so we thought we would try a spot with some paint stripper and it come off. That is ... morewhy the spot is on the top. My intentions then was to strip it off and restain it but never had the time to do it and hated to see this beautiful table sit around and need the space so I am selling it as it is. As you can see on the spot that we stripped under all the varnish that was on it the grain is beautiful and on the leaf, it is the natural color. This table is on wheels except for the center one is missing. But I should have one somewhere around here that I will put on it if I do. Also there is a piece of wood that is off on one of the legs as shown in the pictures. Other than that it is very nice. Once it is restained or whatever one wants to go about finishing the top it will look awesome. The table measures 42" square x 30" tall without the leaf and 25-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the table. The leaf is approx. 12" wide. I have provided several pictures to view. This is an antique Stickley era Mission style Arts& Crafts quarter sawn solid oak coffee table dating to the early 1900's. It appears to have originally been a library table that was cut down to be a coffee table. It measures 42-3/4" wide. 25-1/2" deep and stands 18" tall. It has bronze pulls on the drawer and the drawer is dovetailed. There are scratches and wear consistent with age and gentle use, and some minor blemishes. There are oak buttons that cover connection points and 10 are missing. I have not had a chance to replace them, but do have a bag of new oak buttons that will be included with the table. This is an antique heavy table that has been in the family for years. My dad refinished this beautiful round oak table years ago. The table is 29" tall and 23 1/2" round. The bottom shelf is 13" from the floor. The top of the table has a design etched in the wood. This would make a nice foyer. Side table or lamp table. Also great for the Christmas Holidays to hold your Nativity set. This is a very sturdy table. It seems as if a small piece of glue has come loose from the top of the table on one of the seams. Authentic Antique 1932'HOOSIER' Tiger Oak Dining Table* This is a genuine Hoosier Tiger Oak dining room table with turned legs. It was made by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company of New Castle. Indiana. It has a hidden extension leaf in the center of the table that is connected to hinges on each side. When the sections are pulled apart, the hidden leaf is exposed. It is then raised and jointed together to each section. Underneath, there is a gear that turns on two tracks with teeth as the sections are moved back and forth with ease. There is a metal stamped plate underneath above the gear area. That patent plate shows that this unique design was created& engineered by the Hoosier Kitchen Equipment Company. Antique Dietzgen Drafting Table University of Illinois Cast Iron Oak Original
Very Large and all original antique Dietzen(king of drafting tables) drafting or architect table- cast iron still has original paint from the early 1900's. this has a very old university of illinois inventory stencil on it with a 4 digit serial number. the solid oak wood on the base is in amazing shape with no cracks or bad spots. the original top with all original hardware is birds eye maple with a few ink spots but no bad spots that need refinishing. I have not tried to clean this at all. a refinisher told me simple rubbing alcohol will take the ink off, i got this for my kid but it is way to large for his room with the top measuring 3 by 5 foot. it stands 42 inches tall and can be adjusted down with the turn of a wheel to 33 inches. it can also swivel to an almost vertical position for painting or art projects or storing somewhere ... morewhen not in use. i will definitely allow local pick up but i will ship, it will be the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. it is quite large and im sure usps or ups will not take it-i saw where greyhound bus lines does shipping but you have to pick it up at one of their terminals for a couple hundred bucks or uship is a great service and could probably be arranged for a couple hundred dollars. im very easy to work with and will make this as effortless as possible for the buyer. if shipped i will wrap with bubble wrap and blankets for the shipment. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee of dollar a mile. very cool steampunk antique item that will hold its value and most likely increase over time. you will likely not find one of these especially in this great shape that has not been refinished. being all original and this great i think the value of this with being from the university of illinois and from the early 1900's i think the value of this is triple the starting amount.good luck bidding and ask any questions. thank you.
