It's a nice well made Solid Oak table with a pretty wavy cut top with a beveled edge top. It's a neat item that would add interest& charm to any room in your home. It has a Dark Reddish Oak Patina to it and I believe the finish is original to the unit. It is 23" wide. 16 3/8" deep at it's feet and 28 1/2" tall overall. It's overall condition is good. It has blemishes to the finish on the top(light/dark spots) some scratches and dings as most of the table we see coming over from England these days. Please remember. It can function as a table between two chairs. A sofa table, side table, or lamp table. This table comes from England and has a circa date of around 1920. The barley twist legs look great on this gate leg table. Each gate swings easily and the leaves are very sturdy when up. The leaves raise independently ... moreso you can just one leaf up or both. This gate leg table is very sturdy and has minor wear consistent with age especially to the finish on the top. There are two age separations to the top as well which do not affect the structural integrity of the table, but do add to its rustic charm. With its rustic oak and beautiful patina this lovely table would make a wonderful addition to any home. This table goes from 13″ wide with the leaves down to 35.5″ wide with both leaves up. This view of the top of the table shows the lovely oak patina and the rustic charm of the slightly worn finish. Here you can closely see the minor wear of the finish and the lovely color of the oak. It has beautiful scalloped edges and is a quality well built sturdy piece. It is in excellent condition with only minor wear to the finish. The only issue I have sound with this piece is that someone added a few nails to the top. The top must have been lose and they nailed a few nails into it to tighten it up. The nail heads are very small and are flush on the top of the table so they are very hard to see. I did not notice them until I cleaned the piece. The Living Room Consignment& Tea is pleased to offer. a charming. Drawleaf oak table with 6 matching chairs, believed to be from an English pub in 1920s. Table legs and front chair legs feature the spiral carving called barley twist. Our consignor's father bought this as an antique in the 1960s; she fondly remembers many Thanksgiving dinners with her family at this table. The warm. Homey wooden table with its paneled table top, carved legs, and matching chairs would be perfect in a kitchen, casual dining room, family room or craft room. Or a pub! The table is roughly 36" square with 2 draw-leaves that slide out from under the table top to add about 12" on each end. The table top is held in place by notches in the wood. And can be completely lifted off for storing or moving. Some of the wooden planks in the paneled table ... moretop have cupped slightly over time. There are dings and nicks in the finish from years of use. But the table and 6 chairs are still sturdy, useful, and adorable. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library/entry table! This stunning table, manufactured by the Knoxville Chair and Table Company dates to around 1915. It features French Country design with quarter sawn oak plank top, barley twist legs, and cane insets in the skirted sections. The oak ranges from golden to dark and the graining is exceptional. The table has a single large drawer on the front side with original, ornate, teardrop pulls. The sides and the back of the table repeat the skirted and cane inset design so the table is beautiful from every angle. The bottom of the table features braced legs and center stretcher bar. The table has the original flat screws and bolts still intact. The manufacturer's sticker is fixed inside the drawer and a partial sticker is still attached under the table top. There is one ring where a vase or something sat, but, because of the grain pattern, it is not glaring or distracting. The table has a more"oiled" finish as opposed to a varnished finish. This auction is for a neat& pretty smaller or petite size Solid English Oak Double Drop Leaf Barley Twist Gateleg Table from England. These were used as"tea tables" in the UK. They could be easily set up for"tea& crumpets" and then folded down and set aside when not in use. This is a well made table out of Solid Oak. It has a pretty beveled edge Solid Oak top. It has very pretty"Barley Twist" legs which all have cute"teardrop feet" There is No rot or worm damage to any of the oak. These smaller gateleg tables are getting harder& harder for us to come by. It's size would allow you to place it in any room of your home from the foyer. Den- family room to the bathroom. It would make a wonderful plant stand as well as a lamp, sofa or side table and would Look Great in any foyer or hall. It's ... morenot new or a reproduction, it's been around quite a while and has got"off the boat" from England less than 2 weeks ago. Please Look closely at the pictures of the top, I thought it had multiplr small scratches on the top but when looking closer, these are Saw marks in the oak when the planks were cut. I have seen this a lot on American pieces but this is quite unusual for one coming over from the UK. Not opened. It's 24" X 13 1/8" and 28 3/8" tall. With one leaf or side up, it's 24 3/8" X 24" and 28 3/8" tall. Fully opened, it's 35 3/4" X 24" and 28 3/8" tall. It has some blemishes to the finish(light or dark spots or marks) nicks. Dings& scratches to the top as well on the legs from normal use over the years, but for it's age and travels it's in overall good condition and ready to set out and use and enjoy.
