TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THIS TABLE- IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING& BEAUTIFUL. It measures 48" x 48" in its smallest, non-extended(i.e. shortest form with no leaves) It comes with SIX 12" x 48" leaves which extend the table to 48" x 120" INCREDIBLY. When fully extended. It can reach a whopping 13 FEET 2 1/2" LONG! I am not clear on exactly how old the table is but would estimate 1880- 1900. The Leaves fit perfectly and work well. The Table is in overall BEAUTIFUL condition with a few table top scratches/ character marks(see photos) certainly to be expected due to age and use but nothing effecting the tables beauty. The Tables 6 Legs rest on rolling casters for ease of movement. They ... moreare easily removable or replaceable. The Table is 30" tall and I estimate(just a guess) it weighs. Including the 6 leaves@ 100- 125 pounds. I would say not all of the leaves are original based on grain pattern but it still looks awesome none the less. NOTE: The 2 ornate end leg sets are all one piece and easily removable by 2 bolts. I mention this for a couple of reasons. First. The Leg Sets are reversible and can be used either facing in or facing out. I have take a photo with the legs set each way so carefully examine them so you see this effect. It could be just a matter of personal preference as to how you would want to set it up but it is easier to have someone sitting in a chair at the end of the table with the legs facing inward and additionally there is some nice cared detail to be seen(see photo) when they are in this originally intended position. Also, I can dismantle the table for shipping, cost and safety purposes and it would save some space. Up for auction is a beautiful early 1900's Brown Leather Top table. This table I beautiful and in great condition giving its age. The Leather is in excellent condition. This is known as a presidential table it has brass claw footings to protect the end of the legs. It is solid mahogany. It has the pull out drawer in the front, the table is 100% original. I have seen these go in auction for around $400 some in worst shape than this one. I took it to a local antique shop and they dated it around 1925 to 1940, giving the detail of the table I would guess that's close to accurate. The drawer is dove tailed on the ends. Antique table - brass with inlaid porcelain and Indian art engraving ca.1900
Antique Indian fold away brass with porcelain inlay. Tea/Coffee table circa 1900. This is a one of a kind truly. The tray top measures near 30" The porcelain inlay is in good shape with some minor cracking and wear showing. The drum is an octagon that folds flat, four layers thick. All but the base which is brass over wood, is solid brass and very heavy, roughly 50lbs. The engraving is spectacular and depicts deities in 35 panels on the tray top and 24 on the drum sides and 8 on the base. The tray top and the base also have larger center panels with engravings. The base is surrounded with engravings of flowers(roses) and the tray top edge has a solid brass ring tacked engraved as if it is a rope. This is a completely untouched, un-refinished original. It could be shined, but my family chose to leave it in it's original state.There ... moreis a stamp on the back of the tray top"1858" My family was told that was the year it was made, but I was unable to substantiate that absolutely. Many years ago, when I was only interested in insuring it, I had several antique dealers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania(Phila to Princeton) look at this and not one had ever seen one of this exact design before, and all of them could only say it was worth at least $5000.00. My family paid nearly $1000.00 for it over 40 years ago as is. There is a slight bend in the one octagonal side hinged seam that has always been there since my family acquired it over 40 years ago. This was brought to my great grandfathers store in Michigan by a person who's family got it in India in or about 1920 as an antique at that time. Nice solid antique table. I believe is Mahogany wood. I believe it dates from 1920-1950. Very unique thick, chunky spindle legs. Some splits in the legs but does not affect the sturdiness of the table. Doesn't have the leaf to extend it. Beautiful carvings around the edge, some small pieces of veneer missing from the top but is not noticeable. Starting the bidding out low for this gorgeous table but have no reserve on it. This unusual sewing cabinet has seven-sided beveled wood sides. It is a very sturdy. All original piece made of solid mahogany with three drawers, one with a sliding compartment for thread and other sewing notions. It also has two flip-top compartments on either end for sewing or knitting supplies. Measurements are 28 1/2"W x 14 1/2" D x 30"H. This piece has been in my family(my grandmother's) for at least 55 years, but could be older. The finish overall looks very good, except for the top which has some discoloration in the finish,some scratches typical of a piece of this age.
